Time Master Pocket Edition is a clever puzzle game that plays with the concept of temporal manipulation. Each level requires you to navigate a character to an exit, but the twist is that you can rewind or freeze time to bypass hazards that would otherwise be impossible. This leads to some fantastic 'aha!' moments.
The minimalist aesthetic works in its favor, keeping the focus on the logic puzzles. It's reminiscent of 'Braid' but optimized for short mobile sessions. The difficulty curve is steady, and it never feels like it's being unfair. It’s a sophisticated choice for puzzle enthusiasts looking for something beyond match-3 games.
Innovative time-control mechanics
Minimalist, elegant graphics
Dozens of hand-crafted puzzles
Relaxing soundtrack
Use the time bar at the bottom to see how objects moved in the past. Sync your movement with the 'rewound' state of obstacles to pass safely.
Players must interact with switches and platforms that only respond to specific time-states, requiring forward planning and spatial awareness.
Most levels allow you to take your time to plan, focusing on the solution rather than speed.
The concept behind the game is interesting, if only the developer had experience with gameplay. The controls are terrible, almost unusable on an iPhone. Additionally, the character’s movement responded with enough lag that, together with the awful controls, made the whole thing aggravating. I wanted to like this game, but I had to delete it after playing through a few levels.
