Our Expert Score

86/100

A Pretty Odd Bunny is one of those rare games that manages to be simultaneously adorable and disturbing in the best possible way. The premise—a vegetarian bunny society where you are a secret carnivore with a taste for pigs—is hilarious and sets the stage for some tight stealth-platforming action. The hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation is the star of the show here, giving the world a vibrant, high-quality look that contrasts beautifully with the 'gorey' humor of a bunny eating bacon.

Mechanically, the game is a polished stealth experience. You have to navigate around your fellow rabbits who are constantly on the lookout for your 'odd' behavior. It’s not just about jumping; it’s about timing, sightlines, and finding the perfect path through more than 80 levels. The levels get quite challenging, requiring precise movement to avoid detection while hunting down hidden coins. It’s a quirky, dark, and highly polished adventure that feels like a labor of love.

Super cute game with finicky controls
Thu May 25 2023 Espare

Admit i love the idea of the game and had fun (mostly) while playing. I’m playing the game on an iPhone and the controls are rather finicky: you’ve gotta hit them directly in order to get your character to pretty much do anything. Maybe I’m just used to a little more play and flexibility and how to hit controls. And unfortunately, the last two sections ‘bunny town at night’ and ‘piggy island’ have a few glitches. I found it impossible to move using the level controls button back to previous levels. It just kept rebooting. When I finish the game brings you to the screen where it looks like there’s gonna be some sort of wrap up but again unfortunately it’s simply times out. Maybe there’s an update coming to fix those flies?

Loved it until the end and then it froze

I loved this game and finished every level. Then at the very end it froze at “hello kid” and doesn’t let me kill the final villain. Tried many many times and it just keeps freezing there.

Glitches, bad controls

After reading these reviews, the problems with crashes, frozen animation, and horribly erratic controls continue. Devs need to address this or it should be pulled from the App Library. I sent an email to devs with no response. Your users have identified problems. Fix them!

The game is ok but I was unhappy that it didn’t work on controllers. I tried to play on my backbone controller and it didn’t work. It claims to be able to use a controller.
