New Zombie game mode
The Wanderer is a fantastic example of a 'low-fi' RPG that doesn't skimp on depth. The atmosphere is thick with post-apocalyptic dread, yet the presence of your dog companion provides a needed emotional anchor. The gameplay is a mix of scavenging, managing resources, and making tough choices in random encounters. It feels a lot like Fallout 1 and 2 but condensed for a mobile format.
The minimalist graphics actually work in its favor, letting your imagination fill in the bleak details of the wasteland. The progression is slow and methodical; every piece of scrap metal and bottle of clean water feels earned. It’s a punishing game at times, and permadeath can be a sting, but that’s what makes the survival feel so rewarding. If you love bleak, strategic RPGs, this is a gem.
Procedurally generated world
Deep resource management
Randomized encounters and events
Pet companion system
Your first priority is finding water and a weapon. Stick to the outskirts of the map until you have enough supplies to venture into more dangerous, high-loot areas like the abandoned cities.
Your dog is your best ally. It can help you find loot and protect you in combat. Make sure to share your food and water with your pet to keep its health and loyalty high.
The game features permadeath mechanics, though some progress can be carried over depending on your upgrades.
Wish there were more to the map like you get the option to move to another town. After exploring the entire map it becomes boring and repetitive. Or worse, if your map is bad. Like no real useful buildings are close by each other making you have to travel the whole map for a factory and then the police station is across the map. Or if there’s only one. Or if all of your good buildings are only on one side of the map, making you only visit that spot the whole game. This kinda ruins the whole point of even having the map so big when everything you need is literally 5 hours away from your camp. I wish there were more options rather than this repetitive feel of going to one spot of the map over and over because the other sides of the map is essentially useless. The aliens also are a waste of time. I wish they dropped cool stuff like alien weapons or sword. Literally I just run away since they are a waste of time. It would be cool to have alien animals, like alien dogs that they use to hunt you down. Or like another alien faction that you can eventually team with. Having different gears from the original aliens. This would give the game a new feel and a better story. Right now it just feels like this game is meant to be played until you get bored. Like there’s no meaning.
Very fun game! Not pay to win and definitely time manageable. The only reason why it’s 3 stars is so the developer can see my description below of other bugs that I found, as well as my van parts disappearing even after the latest update. Van Parts: I have been using my van for quite a few days now and have never had van parts disappear on me. I even collected multiple pieces of certain parts of the van in my storage in case parts of my van broke off, such as 1 cable, 3 car batteries, etc. Right after I updated the game to the latest version today, all of my duplicated parts disappeared and I am left with just 1 of each duplicated item. I checked my van when I realized that and my van was still usable with no parts missing. I went on to play a bit more and saved the game before exiting, but when I returned to the game, I lost all of my van parts in my van (the ones that I had in my storage are still there but I do not have enough to use the van). I know the developer is working on this bug so thank you. I just wanted to state my situation with the van parts disappearing in hopes it may help with fixing the bug. Other Bugs: After the update, my progress on locations got erased. Usually when you discover a town, the name of the town will show. After the update, all of the town names disappeared and became ???. Also, normally you can see a description of what you have found at locations that you have been to, but that was erased for me too.
I don’t usually play games on my phone. I was going through a bad break up and I was lonely and I saw this game advertised to me on the front page of the games in the iPhone store. I didn’t really look it up but from the description I was like what the heck? I love sci-fi, I love, RPG games, I love the whole post apocalypse vibe, and the whole survival thing is super fun and it’s easy to get lost in. this game will consume you. It is beautifully made. I’ve even shown my friends this game and they just love to watch me play it and they love to play it and this game is super. Super cool. When I showed my friends this game they told me that it was super cool, and they were enthralled and tuned in. That’s exactly what I was looking for because sometimes life is hard and you just need a little game to escape and this is perfect, it’s intricate, it’s well-made, you might think it’s easier at first but oh, trust me, it tailors to help you play. That’s all I’m gonna say without giving any spoilers, so yeah, go ahead and just download this. You’re doing yourself a favor and it’s better than spending money on a night out when you can just get lost in a sci-fi world of your own.
The game is great I love it and it's actually one of the best games I played but the thing is the game makes you stay on the floor next to a tent and store your items first of all anyone could just come by and take anything they want second could you add a feature where you can build your own base? This feature should be added because it would make the game even better also, Your pets shouldn't die from feeding them it just makes you waste your time letting them live as well instead of dying can you make your pet unable to help you loot and join fights? One last thing that could help improve the game would be the background there's a bug that I discovered where as if you go to your base and turn your view to the trader and then turn to the other side of the base the background keeps moving after a short while. The bug doesn't do anything except make the background move like an earthquake was occurring. One last thing I promise.. You should add more weather and armor like instead of a basic gas mask you should upgrade it to a military gas mask..etc. Instead of upgrading a bag using caps why not use resources instead? I know many people would disagree with what I'm saying but that's probably because they're lazy..but anyways I think that they should also add more vehicles like a chopper(motorcycle)or a ATV or maybe a pickup truck better weapons modifications to armor and weapons if all of these things are added to the game this game would be so unique and special to me. I hope you guys hear my message out and understand but other than this the game is great top 3 of my favorite games.
UGHHH IM SO HAPPY to have found a game that i dont need to actively play constantly, but can sit down and play for awhile when I want to and still feel like I spent my time well. The game takes after the Oregon Trail, but set in a postapocalyptic era, with zombies and radioactive poisoning instead of dysentary and Native Americans and an old bus you have to put together instead of a covered wagon. The game is flawless in its simplicity yet obvious care, with only one minor bug I've played that doesnt affect gameplay and goes away instantly. Beef and Steak, my guy and his dog, travel for a long time when I'm sleeping, and I waste their health for a little while during the day to send them exploring, with short enough timer that I can still do so without feeling like I'm missing out of the experience. The only ad Beef sees EVER is when I first open the ad and the one time I've revived him. Love this game so much. I'm not addicted in a way I feel sick about -- in fact I can put this game down in a half a second. But I can't wait to pick it back up, go find new van parts and new supplies and take Steak on some new journey.
I downloaded this game a few months ago and I was obsessed right away. New updates came along shortly after which did add excitement and really cool new features but unfortunately the bad is outweighing the good at this point. First update I noticed all my quests were losing their titles and details so it was almost impossible to do my quests, which is fine I mean I had a lot of caps so I wasn’t too worried. A few updates I believe after that I’m now also running into the issue that my game is crashing about every 5-10mins. I do understand this game is in the motions of getting a lot of improvements and updates but I do think the most important thing is a reliable game. It’s hard to feel like you aren’t completely wasting your time when you’re relaxing playing a game and repetitively losing progress every few minutes. Also one more note, when I started there was billboards with ads which I didn’t mind at all, if anything it was fun to read/watch the different little signs but now there’s ads popping up at the bottom into my screen halfway and it’s extremely annoying. And now in almost every screen in the game there’s billboards so you shouldn’t feel the need to have ads expanding up across most of my screen while I play. :( this game is one of the best games Iv seen in the App Store I really don’t want it to turn bad.
Hi devs, your game is fun, I remember so much about the old version and this current version is an great improvement of it. This was once a black, pixelated character running, you had to survive as long as possible keeping needs high and trading whenever you want. Clean water and canned food was rare in this version and I see this game as a great improvement from it. Here is some tips for beginner players: 1. Don’t go too far into the map until you get stronger. Because if your too weak and get attacked, it’s your fault you went into an area, with dangerous properties. 2. Think about your choices. Choosing reckless choices can get you badly hurt. Think about it, is it dangerous? Will illness or radiation get to you if you make that choice? Think about how dangerous the options could be and pick a safer one before you get stronger. 3. Don’t spend all your skill points on one stat. Seriously, I did that with luck and I barely lived to see another day. I think the med kits i got from it was the only reason I lived. 4. Don’t give up and reset the run, you might be able to get out of that hopeless situation. Trust me, I did it before with radiation in the oldest versions I could play.
I rarely write reviews for games in general, but seeing as I couldn’t find a single option for any kind of app support, I’m not really sure where to post this. I’ll start by saying this game is incredibly fun, think fallout meets turn based strategy. Overall I only really have one complaint, but it’s a huge deal breaker for me. The ad banner. When the banner is active, it literally covers a huge portion of the game screen, which on its own is a scummy business practice that I find incredibly obnoxious. Normally I don’t have a problem with ads, assuming they’re not intrusive, but this one covers up a bunch of important info about the game (how many caps and tokens you have, your level, your day count) to the point where the game is almost unplayable while it’s active. That being said, I decided to support the dev by purchasing the $4.99 monthly subscription, the main reason being that it supposedly removes the ad banner. That didn’t happen. All of the other “perks” (which were negligible btw) are active, and restoring my purchases gives me a “subscription is active” notification, but the ad banner still pops up constantly. It’s at the point where I don’t want to play the game on principle alone. I’m hoping this is something that can be resolved, because I genuinely enjoy this game, but until it is I will not be playing anymore.
Wander the harsh wasteland as one of the last remaining survivors searching for supplies and battling any unwanted visitors in this Fallout inspired pocket...
