Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is the gold standard for character-collection RPGs. After 10 years, it remains a powerhouse thanks to its deep strategic combat and an absolutely massive roster of characters spanning the entire Star Wars timeline. Whether you want to command the Mandalorian, lead a squad of Jedi with Yoda, or crush the rebellion with Darth Vader, the game offers unparalleled fan service.
The strategic depth comes from the 'Era' and synergy systems. Building a team isn't just about picking your favorite characters; it’s about finding the right leadership abilities and unique traits that work together to dominate in turn-based combat. The recent 10-Year Anniversary update has only made it better, introducing the Era system and new PvE modes like the Coliseum. It’s a massive, cinematic experience that every Star Wars fan should try.
Collect 100+ characters from across the Star Wars saga
Strategic turn-based RPG combat with deep synergy mechanics
Epic PvE and PvP modes including Raids and Territory Wars
New 'Era' system for streamlined character progression
Cinematic graphics and authentic Star Wars sound effects
Focus on character synergy. A team of characters from the same faction (like Phoenix Squadron or Galactic Republic) will often benefit from shared buffs. Use the early campaign missions to gather shards and unlock legendary leaders who can carry your team through tougher events.
The latest updates introduce the Era System, allowing players of all levels to engage in new content. Test your squad's metal in the Coliseum—a PvE mode where you battle massive bosses for high scores and exclusive rewards like Lightspeed Tokens.
Recent updates have introduced characters like Kleya Marki during the Season of Andor events.
Yes! You can join Guilds to take on massive raids together and communicate via the in-game chat system.
Let me start off by saying before I started playing this, I was not a Star Wars fan. Now I’m a huge nerd and have seen everything several times including all the animated series. I’ve been playing swgoh for years now and let me tell you. I liked this style of game so much from playing this, I tried basically every game like it to see if there were any better ones. Marvel strike force was probably the closest, but I also tried the Disney one and looney toons etc. Swgoh is the most complex while still being easy to understand, and fun gameplay. The visuals are great, and the 4x mode makes the repetitiveness of the game bearable. They constantly add new content and update the game, which I like. Some of the characters take a very long time to unlock.. I like how you can’t use cash to unlock them either. Paying for crystals is completely optional. I feel like CG (capital games) has done a good job to making the crystals very desirable and somewhat a fair cost.. I spend a little here and there because it’s nice to get the energy refreshes. Overall I gotta say this game is very well made and best of its class. The way the synergies work is pretty cool like if you have all Jedi or sith you can get bonuses. One suggestion I have is that they should add an 8x mode. It would help for when we’re auto’ing through a potentially long battle. Also, it’s nice they reduced the cool down from minutes to seconds for the daily challenges but are the seconds even necessary?
I have been playing this game for two years now and I love it. I am a ftp player and currently on my way to getting a galactic legend which takes some time. In my time playing I have come up with a couple different changes that would improve the game and might encourage me to spend some money on the game. First customization, I would love it if we could get different uniforms for our characters so we can really make them our own. They should add the uniforms to prestigious quests because the rewards for those are pretty lackluster and also to packs to encourage people to spend money. Next is kind of a personal one but I believe grand arena is one of the most liked game modes and I really love the changes they have recently made to the rewards, but I would love if after your opponent attacked you could playback their battle and watch how it went. This would allow to see how the ai controls your team and can give u a better view on how to mod your team. One of my last main changes would be a new raid. With all of the shows coming out I am very surprised we have not gotten a new raid in a long time. I would love to see maybe a krayt dragon raid from season 2 of the mandalorian. Overall I would definitely recommend this game and even without these changes it is one of my favorite games to play. Obviously it takes a long time if you’re not spending money, but I love building up my teams overtime and the satisfaction I get from doing it!
Ok, so I’m not saying I don’t LOVE this game, but I think you should: 1) have the option to use crystals to buy heal potions. I personally think it’s not ok that you lose stars when your warriors die 2) please please PLEASE let players be able to customize their name. I’m FINE with the name it randomly generated for me but what if you don’t like the name you where given? 3) I think it’s super unfair that higher levels have more “privileges” or whatever. But if your reading this and your about to get this game, do get it. It’s AMAZING for Star Wars fans and I really enjoy playing it when I’m bored. It’s a great time waster and you don’t have to wait that long! But, now I’m going to list some things I DO love about Heroes. 1) I love how instead of putting the player in this world where you battle dragons or something, the game actually explains it, and you fight REAL characters from the movies 2) I immensely appreciate how there’s a light and dark side and it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to get good characters. (Think: Chewbacca) 3) great graphics and huge time waster. I will spend HOURS playing Heroes and my sister will watch me and root for her favorites. Also, the graphics are AMAZING and so greatly designed, I feel like: this seems so real! So, I like the idea of the hologram showing the characters 4) I HAD to put this in: THERE ARE NO ADS. I find this so great and this is the main reason I put ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks for taking time to read this!
I’ve been playing this game since 2015 and I can tell you from the moment I downloaded this game it captivated me with how user friendly it is, the game basically teaches you all the game mechanics the moment you unlock them so you aren’t left in confusion. The characters are amazing and their intertwining abilities, it encourages you to collect the same faction and truly choose who you think will be the best, not to mention the rewards you get such as legendary characters and special events that are exclusive to certain factions. The community surrounding this game is probably one of the less toxic in the gaming community, every guild I’ve joined has had some of the nicest people I’ve met. The only problem I have with this game, is how much they want you to spend money. You could choose the free to play route, in which case you may be playing the game for a while before you acquire max level and access to a multitude of end game mechanics. Or you could choose to pay, which gives you a huge advantage over other players, if you spend your money right you could become near unstoppable which is something I find to be a major flaw within this game, but I understand that they need to make money somehow. So I dare to say that Galaxy Of Hero’s is almost perfect for a 10 year old game and I could not choose a better game to play on mobile.
I will start off this review to say that I really like this game overall. The turn based combat with recognizable characters from the beloved Star Wars universe is very nice. Add in the different stats, abilities, and bonuses and then, surprisingly, there actually is a bit of customization involved. They also try very hard to keep you engaged with events and other special days that break up all the farming you must do in order to succeed. Which brings us to the point that lowers this game from a 4* to a 3*: this game takes WAY too long to progress, and of course it takes a lot of actual money in order to have that process go remotely faster. I’ve been playing for a good while now, and have unlocked most options in the game, and I’m still having to be very very active in order to get one 80 shard character in under a week or two, depending on his availability within the options the game gives you. The game controls what characters are available at which time, and that’s very frustrating. I can understand the “most popular/powerful” ones through the raid system. But having Zam only available at a certain time in the afternoon on one outlet? Come on. This happens to a lot of different characters. I haven’t seen many of them at all in my three months of playing. All in all, I recommend the game to someone who wants to commit to one game, is an avid collector, and loves turn based strategy. It’s a good game with many problems that still ends up being fun. Be prepared to spend at least some money.
While this game is fun it could be better. They need to add a global chat because right now if you want to chat you can only do it if you’re in a guild or if you make a chat with all of your friends in it. They also need to make it easier to find active guilds & players around your level(I’m in a guild myself already but I’m the only officer in the guild still active and most of the players in the guild aren’t active and I’ve been looking for awhile for an active guild to join but it’s hard to find one. You need to be in an active guild to do the raids because otherwise it’ll take awhile to generate enough raid tokens and raids are the only way other than using your gems to get some of the gear you need for your characters and the harder tier raids, which need like an active full guild to do, is the only way to get character shards for certain units. Also if you want to be able to do some of the events and the ship battles than you’ll have to spend money on gems or packs to get enough shards to not only unlock the unit but to get it to a point where you can use them for all levels of the event(this is especially true for the ships because the only other way would to be only buying 4-5 shards at a time every day for the ship you want from the ship arena store and what it offers changes daily so it can take awhile to get enough shards and therefore by the time you might get enough shards the ship event might be over).
I think the game is great! The edition of characters from the newer movies and series’s keeps the gameplay and story interesting and going. Though mid to late-game becomes increasingly P2W as you experience roadblocks that can take weeks to surpass without paying for bundles or the means to buy bundles containing gear/characters that will help you progress and overcome obstacles. I also think the Journey Guide system is flawed. What’s the point of getting one character if you have to unlock almost every character in the game just to do so. Anyway, besides that, I think the system is pretty good since it gives every character significance, even if they are weaker than your other characters. Also, about that topic I think fleet battles and challenges give some characters even more significance, making it pretty difficult to regret spending your hard earned currency on characters who may be “useless”. Overall, I think the game is really good. It may have flaws or be P2W, but it is possible to progress to the point of completion without spending a penny. I know that there are hardcore fans who are committed to paying hundreds of dollars to boost themselves to progression quickly. I think that is kind of unwise but that’s just my opinion and I think the game is good because you can complete it with or without spending money. Though completing without paying will take a year or so if you are constantly logging in, claiming daily rewards and doing daily quests and maintaining your characters. Great game! I give it a solid 4 stars.
I can’t give much of a reason for my love of this game. It is playable ftp and will (for the most part) match you against other players at your power level. Though as the game continues Capital games releases new gear levels and relics without making any of the earlier progression at all easier and will continually make new content which they claim are catch-up mechanics though in all reality are locked behind years of progression. For example to help unlock a character that is useful for progression and is needed for one of the best teams in the game they said they were adding a new mode to allow players to unlock them and catch up with end game players. In reality they locked the event behind a 4 mil gp wall which for someone like me who has been playing for 5 or 6 years (on and off) is only at 3 mil gp. How are players meant to catch up and progress if we aren’t given the opportunity and in addition to that that continually try to hinder any ftp accessibility by taking crystals from squad arena and giving them to players based on gac, which favors stronger players that have likely all dumped hundreds of dollars in the game. It’s likely to say if they don’t get their act together and there comes a day where there is some sort of competition, moat of the player base would jump ship. They need to decide wether they want long term success or to milk the game for whatever money they can in the near future. But at the current moment it seems like the ladder.
