I love playing the game. Always have good competition. I miss being able to get extra Z’s by watching videos. The gift boxes now give smaller amounts in tickets and Z’s. I do like the new chat feature and that it is monitored so people can’t be rude or kept safe from online scammers and predators. Just nice chat with nice people. As much as I play, I also wished the money would build quicker. I have to play practice because of money is an issue but it would be nice to use money won from winning all the time or playing so many games, would grow a little bit faster so I could play regular games and start winning money. I know it’s a game to make money so I’m not even sure how building up money on practice games really works but I’ve only built $4 in 2 years. I have no complaints on playing the game. It always loads fast and doesn’t take but a few seconds to start playing. After playing many card games, Skillz is definitely the one I recommend. I haven’t encountered any glitches, which is a major plus, and my information or games won have never been lost. It’s fun to play a timed game because it pushes you to learn speed and different ways of using your own skills to win. I personally love playing even if I don’t understand everything because not everything is explained under account. Try it. You’ll love the competition and now you can make friends. Too bad you can’t play those friends. Skills that maybe something you may want to consider. Sometimes you just want to relax and play with friends. I still give you 5 stars because of no glitches, loading quickly and you watch your players in chat. Thank you for a safe game to play.

Great game, but a few suggestions!

Starting off I thought this game was a scam, losing more than I won, and a lot. Lost a lot of money, but then I realized I needed to actually learn the skill of the game and work the strategy because believe it or not, there are people who’ve mastered this and it’s called a Pro League for a reason! I knew from beginning g that staff as well played the game, but you are indeed refunded if you lose against one. I know this because it’s happened when I was a beginner. Now that I’ve gotten much better with the game I’m up in the pro leaderboards, but you are going to want to play at higher hits to move on the board and always play smart, don’t rush to the point where you are forgetting key steps/moves to completing the game. Overall it’s a great game, not a scam, you just need to practice the skill to be able to go up against some really good players. One thing I recommend are yes, maybe some new deck set ups, without replacing old ones. Also the matching has been my biggest issue. After this last pro league, the system isn’t matching me with anyone, in any of the selected cash options which is frustrating because I want live results and I don’t want to have to wait days for it to just be refunded. That’s needs to be fixed, please!

Be careful putting money on the game

The game is all good and fun. However, I forgot that I had downloaded it a long time ago and already had an account. I recently downloaded it again and was playing as a guest. Then a special deal popped up to put $10 on the game and receive a free $10 bonus cash along with it. So I did it. Then it asked me to verify my email after the money was put on my guest account. I tried but it would not let me and then wouldn’t let me play the game at all. So I couldn’t access the money I put on it. I searched skillz on google and found a customer support. There was a live chat support so I did that and the guy said I would have to email the company and ask them to transfer the funds to the original account I made a long time ago and use that account. So I emailed them asking them to transfer it like the guy told me to and I got an automatic email back confirming that they received my email and that I would get a response from somebody within 24 hours. Two days later I still didn’t receive any emails from them and they still didn’t transfer the money to the other account so I emailed them again and again I got the automatic confirmation email that they would email me back within 24 hours. That was about 10 days ago now and I still haven’t heard anything from them and they still haven’t transferred the money. Just be careful with them because their support is only through email they don’t have a number to call them. But like I said, the game is fun! Lol!

So addicting

I got this like 3 months ago- I put $10 on it and from the tickets I earn playing, and knowing how to play the game- I haven’t had to put anymore money in! I’ve gone up and down with my money but overall the most addicting game I have owned in a long time! Not rigged- they pair you up with people at the same “Skillz” levels as you! So it’s a fair game. Added: so this is 6 months since this first post. I use to play the free games like crazy, once I ran out of money, because eventually the ‘ log in present’ (which you get every 12 hours so twice a day) would give me like hundreds to thousands of tickets each time I opened the present. So eventually with enough practice games and log in bonuses I would buy (with my tickets) free in game money- which they will only let you redeem if you bet with their free money and win, which was fine with me! Totally worth it! BUT with their new update they barely give out any free tickets, for ex: in 2 days- with opening the present 4 times, I only got tickets one time and it was 100. You need like 35,000 tickets to get a couple free bucks which would only get you into a couple “money related” matches.. so it’s like they want to ENSURE you put money in to be able to play the money matches, which is a HUGE bummer... makes me play the game A LOT less than I use to. This game and I were attached at the hip for the longest time until they updated it so it was almost impossible to get tickets without spending your own money to be able to pay the money matches.... needless to say my rating has gone from 5 to 3...

First thing I like solitaire and this game is pretty well done as far as gameplay goes. Here’s the advice as someone who played for a few months. 1 you must win more than 60% of your games to break even. The take away 10% of every singe match for an entry fee, you are also charged monthly fees that go up if you don’t play enough. So unless you are a savant at solitaire you won’t win any real money. I honestly don’t know how this game is rated as high as it is. There are super players on here that make it hard to win as well. I also suspect that some of the accounts are AI bots as a matter of fact I suspect that it would be very easy for a mediocre programmer to exploit this game, I mean really if AI can defeat the best chess players in the world what chance do you have at solitaire against one? Last issue I had with this game is that I didn’t play for a few days and when I logged back in it logged me into a completely new account and when I logged out and logged back in to my account I had 0.00 in my account. When last I played I had over $20 when I looked at my game history it was not accurate plus they took fees out. I hope this saves someone a few bucks waisted on this app. If you want an actual chance to win real money gambling either go to a casino or use a legitimate gambling/casino app or website as they are highly regulated. Good luck sorry for the long review

So I just reinstalled this game after not playing for a while. I remember loving it because I was able to play against other people in a game like solitaire. Although I initially was free to play for the most part I had build up a small amount of funds into my account which was drained after possibly years of absence. I guess I understand since I never deposited anything to begin with but I couldn’t help to think if someone Did deposit money and forget about it. Seems kind of wild. Not my main issue though. I can’t remember all the details but I KNOW I was able to play games for a cheaper cost before. Free games or not you could play for like 1z or a few cents for the paid games. Now I can’t play anything for less than 3z besides One kind of tournament because all my z is gone as well which I can’t remember if it was me who lost them all or them being cleared from my account. The next best thing is 60z or 300z. Another thing is the skillz rewards shop isn’t working for me which was my last option because I thought I recalled being able to get z from there Maybe but I couldn’t even use the tickets I have cause the store won’t open. Now I’m basically forced to deposit which I was Already planning on doing but no longer want to because I can’t even hardy practice before I start throwing my money away.. I may Definitely be missing something but I can’t imagine I’m missing anything

❌❌❌ Let me explain why after 3 years of playing, numerous Skillz black coins sent to my home, and tons of time sharing with others to join, only to stop using the app unless I’m really bored and want to play the Skillz practice token matches only or with random free Skillz funds. When playing a match (for CASH/funds) and you lose to the opponent, you can not review the match to see what went wrong on your part or where the opponent did better than you IF Skillz didn’t give you the replay if they so choose! But they will give you the replay for other matches that are clearly understood why you had lost such as you knew you were slower than normal or the match wasn’t your best, etc. The funny part is they even say they won’t give you every game replay even though they do have the ability to. My suggestion to the developers: once the replay (of every match) has been played or not touched in a set amount of time, delete the replay so you can offer replays on ALL matches. Atleast replay ALL matches for those of us who have been with the app for X amount of years or at XX level or atleast sell the option to get replays. Because if not, it is a form of theft lower than gambling. Playing to win a match with understanding of the win/loss odds is one thing, but not seeing why or how you lost, is stealing and blind gambling especially when an opponent could win $xxx of your hard earned cash!

Instant match pop ups are awful

I have been a Skillz player for 4 years and have endured many changes over the years that are usually annoying and not helpful, but the latest change takes the cake. There are now pop-ups that come up at the bottom of the screen for instant matches, which is a good idea in theory, except if you are trying to play a different match and try to hit “play” and the pop-up comes up, you can accidentally hit the instant match. Of course, the pop-ups are always for much more $ than you want or feel comfortable playing, so when you go to play a $10 game ($6 entry fee) and the pop-up gets in the way and you don’t swipe it down and are trying to hit play, you’re instead accidentally hitting play on a $50 game ($30 entry). Once the instant play match starts there is NO exit option like there are in the regular matches. So you are stuck playing a game you didn’t want to play. And Skillz will only refund you for the first time this happens. It has happened to me dozens of times now. This has a huge impact on play and has caused me to lose money I didn’t want to bet. I have wrote support numerous times and get the same copy and paste responses every time. I don’t believe they care or take feedback into consideration because over the years every change they make that many players voice their dislike about in the chat and on reviews and to support don’t make a difference. Skillz does what will make them the most money and keep people spending. If it was truly about giving people faster matches, they would offer the pop-ups in multiple game values instead of at the higher values only. Do better Skillz.
