Hey there! A new update has arrived!
We are ready to make your game experience even greater.
Bugs have been fixed and game performance optimized.
Word Solitaire Associations is a stroke of genius in a genre that often feels stagnant. I've played countless word games and thousands of rounds of Solitaire, but I've never seen them blended like this. It completely changes how you look at the 'cards.' Suddenly, you aren't looking for a Red 7 to go on a Black 8; you're looking for 'Moon' to go under 'Planet' or 'Satellite.' It forces a level of linguistic lateral thinking that is genuinely refreshing.
The game is beautifully polished. The way the word-cards 'snap' into place when you find a valid association is incredibly tactile. The difficulty doesn't just come from harder words, but from complex association chains where one word might fit under three different categories, and choosing the wrong one will leave you with a dead column later. It’s an intellectual, relaxing, and deeply satisfying puzzle game that actually makes you feel smarter after playing. It’s the best hybrid game I’ve played this year.
Unique hybrid of solitaire rules and word association
Over 500 levels ranging from simple themes to complex jargon
Daily challenges to test your linguistic speed
Satisfying visual 'snaps' and elegant card designs
Offline mode for training your brain anywhere
Start each level with a tableau of hidden and face-up words. Your goal is to move words into descending chains based on their associations—for example, 'Apple' can be stacked under 'Fruit', and 'Seed' under 'Apple'.
The gameplay features an intuitive drag-and-drop interface where you sort words by their conceptual 'suit'. Use the draw pile when you're stuck to bring in fresh terms. As you progress, you'll encounter 'Wild Cards' and 'Locked Terms' that require specific associations to break. It’s a relaxing yet challenging way to expand your mental dictionary while enjoying the classic flow of a card game.
Associations can be based on categories, synonyms, or common phrases. If you're ever unsure, tapping a word will show a hint of potential 'suits' it can be placed under.
Yes! If you encounter a word you don't know, you can long-press it to see a brief definition, helping you learn as you play.
I enjoy logic games and word games, and this is a nice combination of both. I needed to set a time limit on this app because I noticed that I kept losing track of time - often telling myself, “This is the last board,” but moving to the next without a thought. 😊 One of the things that I enjoy is being introduced to or reminded of new/different words… For example, I’m sure I learned the names of meteors and moons at some point, but I can confidently list them again after being repeatedly exposed to them! I recently passed level 400 on my phone and was pleased to discover a nice challenge (earn keys to get extra coins). After learning NOT to spend coins because it took so long to amass 900 for one “undo,” this was a nice addition. … I happened to play on my iPad last night - at level 8 - and noticed that the challenge offer wasn’t there. Maybe one has to achieve advanced levels of play before the offer is made, which is fine by me. The only TINY critique is the frequency of the ads… one is met with an ad upon completion of the first category, whether that be 3 cards or 8 cards. From a psychological standpoint, associating the completion of a category with an ad prompt might be considered a negative reinforcement 😉 (not wanting to complete the task in fear of the consequence). On the other hand, I appreciate being able to anticipate the ads, both in timing AND with the “Ad Break” banner. I understand that ads are necessary to make the game accessible to everyone, so my critique is superficial and subjective… I think it’s a great game and just realized that I don’t think I’ve ever been asked to pay for the game (which I also appreciate)…I might seek out that option as a more explicit way of supporting the creators.
No surprise. I caved to an ad to download this! I admittedly thought it looked interesting enough. But I know what to expect with basically 99% of the games on the App Store. It’s simple enough at first. Painfully simple, to the point where the tutorial in the beginning is just completely pointless but it holds your hand anyway. Few levels in I’m forced to watch ads after each game. Go figure, that’s only to be expected. But once you get to level 10 literally it becomes unplayable. You can’t even get past all of it without*shocker* having either to watch MORE ads, to add moves. Or restart and watch ads anyway. And I know they probably don’t have much input on the ads shown, but I think that the frequency of them could count as actual psychological torture, and I’m not being hyperbolic. The game itself… nothing wrong with it. It’s just so mediocre that it’s not even worth sitting through hundreds of ads just to complete a level. It’s just another cynical piece of slop in an oversaturated marketplace of oversaturated slop, rendered nearly unplayable by ads. But no that’s completely okay, because they HAVE to make money right? Sorry to the people who actually did the work on this. I have no idea what kind of money the programmers and artists make, but I doubt it’s that much. But also their work is rendered in vain just because an ad is slipped in every 30 seconds. Don’t give them the company ad revenue. It’s not worth it.
The only reason I’m giving this 5 stars is so it’s seen. It’s a good game but the developers have ruined the game with all the ads. They claim it’s to pay to keep the game up and running. Please it’s just not worth watching and hour of ads to play a 10 minute game. I’ve written reviews about all the ads but it doesn’t matter to them, it’s all about the money, they’re getting rich because we have to sit through ad after ad, it’s just not worth it!!! Do yourself a favor don’t waste your time with this game unless you like spending your time watching ads. Some of these ads are 2 minute long a lot of them no matter how many times you click the X they just take you to their download page, others like temu every time you click the X it takes you to their website which is known for pishing, then there is google ypu sit through a 2 minute ad and still have to click through another 4 or 5 pages to get back to the game!!!! It gotten so ridiculous these ads and the game makers they’ll take the ads away for $9.99 a month. I see the next class action law suit being against the App Store, Google play the others for not controlling the ads and fake cash games.
Great game. It’s a mindless game to fiddle with while watching tv, falling asleep, or for that break in the day to reset. Effortless engagement - can be repetitive and a certain level of luck is required, but repeating a level is no big deal. Honestly it makes it more engaging because it encourages you to refine your strategies to reduce moves and remember associations kind of like those memory card games. I don’t get the other reviews complaining about it being a cash grab to progress - I think they miss the point of the game… it would be incredulously boring to expect to win a level on the first or even second try. Go play another game if that’s your expectation. Just like solitaire, how the cards are dealt (luck) and strategy are involved. One note - and why it isn’t 5 stars … I do appreciate the shorter than average ads, but I think the $9.99 opt out of ads is kind of outrageous. It’s just not that type of game. I’d go as high as $4.99, but expecting more (I’d imagine) would get a lot less people to go for it, especially considering most people are aware they’ll only be into a game so long before moving on to a new one. But who knows, I’m sure you’ve done an analysis on the cross section of when does the price of opting out produce less revenue than the amount of users sticking around to generate revenue from watching ads. If not, hopefully you guys look into that (and determine it’s a lower threshold than it is currently) before I lose interest in the app lol. This is one game I actually bothered considering…. Until I saw the price. And good enough game that I actually wrote a review… which is just something I do. So it’s a good game! Well done.
I HATE this game. It’s awful. You hardly ever get any coins at all. You run out of moves and are only given 10 extra moves when you watch ads but the problem is they give you a limited amount of times you can watch an ad to get more extra moves and with just 10 moves per ad, it’s not always enough to be able to get all the cards. You’re only allowed to use the joker once per level if you run out of possible combinations and if you get stuck again after using the joker, you’re screwed and have to restart. I’ve been stuck on a stupid level for the longest because I just keep getting cards that don’t match at all and the cards I actually need are buried under other cards that I can’t move until I clear the main ones. I got fed up being stuck in that same level having to restart it over and over again because if you wanna buy extra moves, it costs freaking 800 coins. I only had 500 because you only earn very little amount of coins so the amount you have increases super slowly. I don’t wanna play a game that irritates and frustrates me. I wanted a relaxing game and the game was fun at first until it got impossible to beat levels without coins for extra moves or using the joker. Being able to use the joker only once is awful. Also, they used to give 3 undo chances when you watched an ad. Now they took that away and only give you one. I’m tired of this greedy game and have deleted it from my iPad.
"Solitaire Association" isn't just another version of the classic card game; it's a fresh and engaging twist that breathes new life into a timeless favorite. From the moment you launch the game, you're greeted with a sleek, intuitive interface and a calming aesthetic that makes it a joy to play for hours on end. The variety of game modes keeps things interesting, whether you're in the mood for a quick round or a more strategic challenge. What truly sets "Solitaire Association" apart is its innovative approach to gameplay. The addition of unique power-ups and special cards adds an element of surprise and strategy that I haven't found in other solitaire games. These features not only enhance the fun but also provide new ways to approach each hand, making every game feel fresh and exciting. Beyond the core gameplay, the attention to detail is evident throughout. The smooth animations, satisfying sound effects, and customizable themes all contribute to a polished and immersive experience. Regular updates introduce new challenges and content, ensuring that there's always something new to discover. "Solitaire Association" is a must-have for any solitaire fan and a standout title in the mobile gaming landscape. Five stars all the way!
The overall gameplay is quite fun and challenging. If you know the stuff that the game prompts, then it actually becomes fun and engaging. But when you don’t know the prompt, the game becomes difficult. I understand a quick Google search can help you understand what the theme is talking about but I feel like if you need to go outside the game in order to find an answer then the prompt shouldn’t be there in the first place. say you get a theme of cats and you don’t know a lot of cat breeds and so you’re forced to shuffle through cards with words related to cats that you may not know and then you have to go back and add them and then you just lose a bunch of turns. maybe adding a definition for what the word or theme is trying to convey that players can access Would help. I’d also like to mention there are a lot of ads. One thing that bugs me is the “ad breaks” that literally do nothing for the game except take away your attention and causes the player to sit through something and get bored instead of actually playing the game. However, I do understand that this game is free and they need to make money somehow so maybe instead of just having weird ad breaks you could have a system where in order to get hints you have to watch an ad.
I love this game don’t get me wrong i even paid to get rid of ads but i still have to watch ads to get 10 more moves when im only a few moves away. 10 dollars to remove ads should remove it for the add more moves as well or take away the move amount in general. It honestly makes it unplayable for the ads are to annoying even though i PAID $10 for the no ads. I wish i could get a refund because it literally didn’t make any difference. And 1500 coins for 10 more moves is outrageous. 50 coins per completed level takes you 30 levels to just pay for one thing of 10 moves? Or you could spend a bunch of money on what should be a free old Microsoft like game from good old days, to buy more coins. So in summary $10 for “no” ads but ads are still required because the moves are either just enough for a perfect game or not enough at all, then complete levels to only get 50 coins then if you want to pay with in game coins for more moves you need 1500. Oh you dont have 1500? so you have to buy those coins with real money to get 10 more measly moves or watch ads you already paid to get rid of. Worst buy of the 21st century so far on my part tbh. So until they remove the move count, get rid of ads all together or both I’ll be deleting this game.
