Very Enjoyable but….

I read several of the reviews that talk about the computer taking control and, me as the player, don’t have much choice and they lose a lot… apparently some folks don’t know how to play this game.. if you don’t like your letters, you can change them out.. if you need a hint, you can get it.. maybe the strategy sometimes is the pass so the computer will play some of letters that you may need to complete a word.. I’m actually wishing that you’d make it a little harder.. because I seem to consistently win…. It’s a lot of fun to play… so keep it up… just make it a little harder… it would also be nice if you had some kind of prize like some of the other games have… or levels that you can aspire to… it would be good to have something for folks to reach for other than a trophy. That are not particularly pretty ..no offense…. I have paid for ads free, which makes it so much more enjoyable to play… also on the names on the list of players are those players or is that computer… It would be nice to have an option to play with other people that are logged into the game…. Just some thoughts… thank you though it’s a lot of fun to play. I really like it.

Love, Love, Love this Game

I love this game and I’m absolutely addicted to it. I’ve played it for at least a year or more now. Before I wrote this, I read some of the more recent reviews and saw a few reviews on the more negative side. I had to write this because their experiences with the game have not been my experience at all. I do not feel that the game is unfair or that it cheats in favor of itself. I also don’t feel like I get letters that make no sense. Remember each letter you get belongs in the puzzle somewhere and if you can’t figure out where a letter belongs, you can ask for a clue or swap it out. The rest is all up to your skill level. Some games you will win, some you will lose - and that’s just how it works. In general you can improve over time.

Could Be Better

My problem with this game is that it’ll change the spelling of a word to fit the 7x9 board and now you stuck getting the wrong answer which you lose points for! Even without trying to make a word fit, meaning it has no more than 7-9 letters in the word to begin with, I stop find that it be misspelled. I don’t want to keep getting games that make you spell rat, I have a fear of those things and now I’m stuck with nightmares because every other game has that as an answer smh PLEASE IM BEGGING you to take this word out of the game as a whole! I also don’t like that we can’t earn hints so we’re stuck watching ads more than we are playing the game because that’s the only way to get hints. At least make the ads 15 seconds and or interactive. Lastly I don’t like that you can’t redo a match if you lose like you can with the daily challenges and other events which is why I only play those games. I guess I get it though, that’s just a game you lost and you have to take that L but for me, I like to go back and replay now that I know the answers.

Show the same tournament and scores to everyone

My son and I play this game and wanted to compete in the tournament and to see who is in the higher standing. It’s difficult because we’re given random names that we can’t change, so we can’t look each other up that way. Instead we looked them up by score and find that the scores he’s seeing are different from the scores that I’m seeing. So there’s no way to say, I’m in fifth place and he’s in ninth place for instance, because it seems like they’re keeping the scores grouped separately or on different servers or something. It also shows a limited amount of people playing. That makes it seem like the tournaments are all chopped up into smaller groups, which we also don’t like. Why not find out who really is in first place instead of a ranking based off of so few? But mainly, we’d love to be able to try to beat each other‘s place in the tournament so we’d really love to see that changed. Thank you.

Honest Review

I am a person who meticulously goes through reviews before downloading or purchasing anything. I like to get a general idea of what I’m potentially signing up for. So seeing that majority reviews (at that time) mention the game play favors the computer, I downloaded with that in the back of my mind. As I continue to the play the game, winning, I realized. Those who felt that way may not truly understand the strategy to winning the game so it will absolutely feel like the person playing is getting cheated. So before you download the game know this, if you don’t understand or catch on to the strategy of navigating the game, you probably won’t like this game and feel cheated. If you DO understand or catch on, I think you’ll love the game just as I do. There are ads but I don’t find them too overwhelming. Only reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I would actually love the puzzles to be more challenging! But I pray this everyday!

Was my favorite game until

Been playing this game nonstop for two weeks. Loved it. Ads were not super annoying and easy to get rid of quickly, very fun game. Worked my way all the way up to the top spot with no problems then all of a sudden I start getting randomly kicked off the game to a pop up webpage for antivirus software warning me that my phone is infected and urging me to protect it. Over and over again this happened, which led me to actually believe my phone might have something wrong with it because I've been playing this game fine and this just starts happening out of nowhere. But ever since I reluctantly closed the app down I haven't had any issues. Whatever this is, is worse than those annoying ads that you spend more time watching than actually playing the game you like. I've deleted tons of good games because of that and if this app doesn't get a 'bug fix' update soon I'm gonna have to let it go.🤷🏾‍♂️

Cool until ads

Honestly, I enjoy this as an alternative to traditional crosswords the competitive element is enjoyable and the word choice is interesting between the two it stays pretty engaging and is a good time sink. However as much as i like this app after 2-3 ads play it lags my phone to the point of unresponsiveness that isn’t cleared up until i fully close out the app at which point if i decide to reopen the app i go through the same process until i don’t feel like dealing with closing the app out. Even before it gets to a point of freezing my phone after the first ad the app slows pretty noticeably with letters having delayed drags to where you’re putting them. And all of that’s not to mention that you can get 2-3 ads per game meaning even getting through one round can be quite a hassle between lags & full on freezes.

It has potential but as it is it’s nothing interesting

The excessive ads are one thing, I can deal with those, but the amount of times I (and obviously most of your other players) have felt totally cheated because the computer won’t give me (the player) the letters needed to complete high point words and instead basically gives it to itself is absurd. It doesn’t feel random, it’s as though it favors the opponent. I have a suggestion to possibly remedy this though. Instead of rolling 5 random letters to choose from, instead maybe you can type a certain number of letters on the board of your own choosing during one turn before your turn is over. It could be like 5 at a time, or 3 at a time, or 2 or 1 it doesn’t really matter. That way, the game focuses on actual mastery of crosswords rather than mastery of luck. Also, please please please implement a solo game mode.
