Sokobond is a masterclass in elegant puzzle design. It takes the familiar 'Sokoban' block-pushing mechanic and applies it to the logic of chemical bonding. It’s brilliant because it teaches you chemistry concepts intuitively through play without ever feeling like an 'educational' game.
The minimalist aesthetic is beautiful, and the difficulty curve is perfectly tuned. Each new element introduced—like double bonds or rotation—adds just enough complexity to keep your brain working without being overwhelming. It’s a quiet, smart, and deeply satisfying puzzle experience.
Over 100 challenging molecular puzzles
Beautiful minimalist art and sound
No prior chemistry knowledge needed
Serene, stress-free gameplay with no timers
Informative chemistry facts for every molecule solved
Each atom has a specific number of 'arms' or dots representing its valence. Your goal is to bond them until all dots are connected. If you have a stray dot, the molecule is incomplete; try using the environment to break and reform bonds.
Move your primary atom to push others around the grid. When two atoms with open valence slots touch, they bond. You must manipulate the bonds to form the required molecular structure for each level.
Not at all. The game uses chemistry as a theme for its logical rules, but everything you need to know is taught through the gameplay mechanics.
I stumbled on to this app completely by random and decided to risk the $5 because it looked interesting. Easily one of the most well made, challenging, and fun puzzle games I’ve ever played.
Thanks for this brilliant mind bender. Woot!
