Bug fixing.
Bringing a game as complex and demanding as Sifu to mobile devices seemed like an impossible challenge, but Sloclap and Kepler Interactive have delivered a phenomenal port. Sifu is a masterclass in martial arts game design, capturing the breathless, adrenaline-pumping feel of being the star in a classic revenge movie like 'Oldboy' or 'Kill Bill'.
The core combat loop remains completely intact and uncompromised. Every block, dodge, sweep, and strike feels heavy and deliberate. The brilliant aging mechanic forces players to truly master defense rather than relying on brute force; returning to a level at age 20 after mastering boss attack patterns provides a high of gaming accomplishment rarely matched on mobile platforms.
Touch controls have been reworked with surprising care, but pairing an iPad or iPhone with a Bluetooth controller elevates the game to absolute console-quality greatness. It is an absolute must-play for hardcore action gaming enthusiasts.
The full, uncompromised PC/Console story campaign adapted for mobile
Unique aging mechanic where dying makes you older, wiser, and stronger
Reworked mobile touch controls and customizable interface
Full game controller support for Xbox, PlayStation, and MFi gamepads
Stunning cinematic visual art direction and brutal combat animations
Button-mashing will lead to quick aging and permanent game over. Focus heavily on learning enemy attack animations to time your deflects and parries, breaking enemy structure meters for instant takedowns.
Spend your XP at dragon shrines during levels to unlock crucial skills like Environmental Weapon Use and Ground Counter. Re-invest points into unlocking these skills permanently across future runs.
Chain light and heavy attacks, directional dodges, high/low sweeps, and precise parries to conquer groups of deadly opponents.
Revive instantly upon defeat at the cost of aging years, shifting your attributes toward higher offensive damage while managing limited health pools.
Yes, Sifu offers full game controller support for PlayStation, Xbox, and MFi bluetooth gamepads.
I love Sifu. I played it fully on PS4 and got all the achievements on PC. But this mobile port still needs some work. Some inputs are blatantly disregarded or are translated to something completely irrelevant. Sometimes I can’t guard because my character can only perform heavy attacks until I get hit. There was even one glitch in The Tower where I rushed one of the enemies with a front snap kick, back fist, high roundhouse and all my frames dropped to a crawl and the only odd solution was to just not do that specific maneuver in that fight. I beat the game already on my first try with the true ending. (Gradually improved with the touch controls) but sometimes I feel like I’m fighting with the game more than I am the enemies. I love having Sifu always with me on mobile since it’s one of my favorite games but it NEEDS more stability in control. If the game would be a little more precise in not refusing certain inputs at random times, I would recommend this more.
The perspective issue is really serious. I hope the mobile version can have an auto-follow feature - after throwing a few punches, you can't even see yourself or your opponent anymore. It's already tough to get started, let alone when there are more people later on. Especially when playing directly on your phone, there's absolutely no way to quickly adjust the view while pressing the attack buttons.
I see, you folks removed iPhone 14 pro from compatible devices..after I already payed you, and tried it out (it works by the way, some glitches but it runs.) and now you are ceasing updates support for my phone. This is ridiculous, it feels like I just got my money taken. I’d like to please request my money back but Apple is not showing it on the “eligible for refund” page…please contact me because this is crazy unfair. It says update available but it’s not available to me…honestly really makes me feel a lot of different things. Especially because there is no contact developer direct link in this page like how other games are.
Trying it out now, the game is very stuttery when you first start. It’s Day 1, so not much of a big deal. But, the game is vastly more darker due to the optimization, but still functions very well. There is not much to cover, but as an Xbox player who already beat this game several times, it’s still holding up even for mobile. I recommend a bluetooth controller, but other than that, pretty good for launching just now.
I have been waiting for this game for years now, since my computer broke I couldn’t play it. But now after a long time it has finally came to the mobile industry! And controls are easy, graphics are amazing, and what else is there to say, this game is amazing and worth my 7.99 dollars!
Greatest game to ever come from console to mobile but this game has to many bugs, can’t even click on certain moves before it freezes and wouldn’t let me click on button to attack, the attack button freezes mid action? SMH
Have gotten the platinum on Ps5, have played it on PC too, thousands of hours to this game, love it so much, I was excited by the release on iPhone but the controls are just too bad, at least for master mode, let the block button be able to be placed at the left top of the screen so one could play with three fingers at least, the optimization is pretty bad too ngl
Hey Sifu team! My iPad (11th Gen) runs the game totally fine, but after you removed it from the supported list, I’m blocked from getting updates. If it can run on Nintendo Switch, the iPad hardware is definitely capable! I don't want a refund—I just want you to restore the exact supported devices list that was there during pre-order and launch, or add a lower graphics option so we can update and play!
