Rolling Sky is an incredibly addictive and often frustrating (in a good way) reflex tester. It’s essentially a high-speed obstacle course where you control a ball. The music is catchy and syncs up well with the hazards, creating a rhythm that helps you anticipate the next move.
The levels are beautifully themed, from snowy mountains to futuristic cities. It can be very difficult, especially when you're trying to find all the hidden gems. It’s the perfect 'one more try' game. Even though the later levels are brutally hard, the satisfaction of finally reaching 100% on a difficult track is immense.
Simple one-touch drag controls
Multiple unique and challenging levels
Stunning 3D graphics and effects
Catchy original music for every stage
Most obstacles in Rolling Sky move in set patterns. Don't get discouraged by early deaths; use each attempt to memorize where the traps are. Focus on the music's beat, as major obstacles often appear in time with the rhythm.
Hold and drag your finger on the screen to move the ball left and right. Dodge stationary and moving obstacles while making sure you don't roll off the edges of the floating track.
Standard levels do not have checkpoints; if you fall or hit an obstacle, you must restart from the beginning of the stage.
I love this game. I would say that in this category of gaming: touch sensetivity, memorization, and challenging gameplay, you are second to geometry dash, but that is only because of two things. The first thing isn't that major. Robtop took the time to make their game have so much more gameplay. You make new levels all the time, which is great, but you have to watch a video, or use the keys to permanently unlock the level, which gets really annoying, because after you beat all the levels you can, there are so many more to play, but you can't play them with out watching a video. In the 3.99 kit, I would replace that with the unlimited balls upgrade. Which brings me to the second problem. One of, if not the main reason geometry dash is better than rolling sky is because you don't have to wait, or watch a video after you run out of "balls." In geometry dash, you get to play until you get bored, without having to wait for like three or four minutes to play again after losing 10 times. So those are my two requests. 1) remove the unlimited balls as an add on purchase, so the people who want to get really good at the game, but don't mind the adds can just keep practicing. Second, replace the unlimited balls add on purchase with a full access to every level. That's all you need to do to get this game better than geometry dash. Other than those two problems, great game. Oh and do something about the lag.
I am a pro gamer and out of all the games i have ever played, none of them is like this one. First of all, the music is AMAZING I like it that it has a lot of levels (Some like the 5* levels are really hard, i only beat Cube) Other games that has good music is Outer wilds and Pinout as well has Dancing line. Second of all, i have played this since i was 3 years old on my ipad, and, although i deleted it a bunch of times, This game has evolved until the Monster city update. When the game haven't updates in 2 years i was very sad but i kept playing and playing because it gave me a lot of time to beat all the levels including the VERY hard level Cube. But even though people are losing hope i was one of the few who still believe in the game. Finally on this game’s fandom wiki, i saw something that said “Rolling sky is coming back!” And sure enough, it was back with Goblin city! At time of writing the game is on the “Rabbit 2023” level, and i can’t wait to see what comes next. (P.S. thanks for reading to the end) (Update: 3 new levels?! Seriously?! One of those levels is located in the “Fanmade” page and it reminded me that me and whole lot of people want a level maker here! It would me nice if you made a Dancing line one to. (Yet another update: YES!!! I have waited for many years and now you finally brought back forest! Thank you for bringing back forest after all these years cheetah mobile! (I’m still playing it btw and i love that you support fans in their creations!)
Overall, it's a pretty good game, but You deleted one of my favorite levels: Forest. Forest II replaced it, and it's not really as fun as Forest, but, If you bring it back, Please, change it up a bit so that the themes are mostly Forest types, such as the themes in Tetris, Candy, and also add some new themes, such as Snowy Forest. Or, make a type of tree in the themeless themes. Also, maybe add a Tree type for Monody to replace the forest types. Oh, and possibly make Forest in the next theme level thing, you know, after the Monster theme. That also may include another forest level. But also, like in my earlier review please add a level Maker.(Edit) 5th Anniversary is coming up so it might be the next event after Monster theme but for 5th Anniversary bringing back forest can still work cause bringing back levels that were there 5 Years ago, such as also bringing back the Alan Walker levels, obviously adding a 5th Anniversary level, but please make it an easier level most Birthday levels are really difficult . Maybe the could add Level Maker during 5th Anniversary?(Another edit with more suggestions) I forgot tell you this, but, I can't watch an ad for videos, even though the internet is just fine, it says that I can't watch it right now. Please fix this and make a bonus of Monster City plz, maybe a 2 or 3 star level for the bonus? Oh and the BONUS of 5th anniversary I want to be easy, I don't care the normal levels difficulty, And I'm guessing the bonus would be 3 stars.
First off, don’t get me wrong, RS is a great game with lots of cool features. I’ve been playing ever since the eighth level: Tetris got released and I have seen a huge development during the 2 year period, what started off as a simple idea was now a really successful fame with a sequel, soon to be released. I really like the levels’ textures, they looked really cool and each level is a different atmosphere that I can dive inside and I also liked the characters, my favourite was Supersonic and I’m still using it. However, I have some suggestions. First and foremost, money. I know it is a really fundamental part of ‘profitting’ from a game through In-App Purchases. I know sometimes it works smoothly and money started to flow in. But the most recent update (1.9.4) which featured Faded Remix, the fifth level which featured AW’s soundtrack included something I call ‘obnoxious’... An In-App Purchase, smack in the level at 62%. Now, this is when I started to not root for the In-App Purchases is that it takes $1 (22K VND) just to unlock the rest of the level made me triggered because.. Why would someone do such a thing? Now, I don’t have my own credit card so I can’t pay whatsoever, but the least I could request is to remove the In-App Purchase in the next update (the latest is the in next 3 updates) or it will get a little boring... I don’t 100% like anything because there are no perfectly made things, so does RS but please at least make it fairer for people who has and doesn’t have credit cards. :) Best Regards, Player
I began to play this game when I started listening to music along this genre. I think the game is very surreal and the music is splendid. But I feel like a lot of things may need work. First of all, I think there needs to be a bit more diversity. When I say diversity, I mean more music and features. The music is great but it’s usually only Alan Walker during non-holiday events. Also, for new players, I feel like these slow levels should be more mellow but enjoyable. In addition to all that, I think it’d be nice for you to experiment in custom levels/ music. Along with that, I think the features that have been added in the past are unnecessary like speed adjusters and Ball Doublers. They don’t put off anyone and are really just pointless. Finally, after all that, I think online doppelgängers would be a cool experiment. Another thing is your advertisements. I hate having to say this but it is almost as bad as Voodoo. (I am not trying to belittle anyone) It should be less often, as in, only in scenarios where we want a bonus life of something along those lines. I understand the purpose of ads and money doesn’t grow on trees so the choice is yours. So all in all, the game is great and entertaining and I am proud of how far it’s gotten. Please take your time in whatever you’re doing and please let the choice be yours. I understand that coding is not easy and you are probably always being thrown ridiculously large amounts of comments, concerns, and recommendations. I wish all of the developers and staff and etc good luck and I wish a good time for all the players who are playing this indefinitely delightful game.
Hello, just your average 13 year old here. I came back to this game for a taste of nostalgia to see what has changed and well, a ton. This was legitimately my favorite game back then. I would play this all the time. I’m back here again, a while later to see that well... not so much is good anymore. It’s just not the same. And I get that some of the levels were removed. That’s disappointing. Also the fact that my favorite level, e-labyrinth, which I mastered and played all the time.m, randomly locked itself and it costed money to get it back. What the heck? I also wonder why. Just why. WHY does all of the new levels cost money? These levels used to be free! Even with the keys, i didn’t mind it. But now.. all of the levels cost money and it seems like you guys over at cheetah aren’t doing to swell. I also came back to this review section just to see a comment I was about to post about how much I loved this game years ago. I just wish.. the old rolling sky came back. I don’t like this game anymore because they ruined it in so many ways, and let down so many people, it’s ridiculous. I used to be a pro at the game until they added extremely hard levels I absolutely couldn’t beat. Somehow I did beat 3rd birthday and 4th birthday. Also one final thing, I noticed you guys haven’t updated in a while, and I see that well... the game must be coming to an end. And the other games too. And well, I just want to say... goodbye..
With the amount of ads the game has, this game is close to unplayable. There are ads in nearly every conceivable point in the game, for when you crash, to simply going to a new level. Sometimes when I click off the ad, it sends me to the app store (since the ads often are of App Store games), and occasionally (not often), it makes me watch another ad right after that. These ads are usually 30 seconds long, and you can’t skip them. I first downloaded the game in 2016, the first year it came out. I played it a lot, and throughly enjoyed it. There were very little ads, and the interface was simple and easy to navigate and understand. Eventually though, I stopped playing the game, but got into it again recently. What struck me as the most annoying is the amount of ads and the completely changed interface. The changed interface doesn’t make it too easy for players like me to get back into the game, especially since it reset my progress, but i find the amount of ads it includes to be the most annoying. I understand the needs to put ads in the game, but this amount is extremely excessive. It starts to make the game less enjoyable and more frustrating than anything else. The game is really fun overall and I do recommend downloading it, but I do hope the amount of ads in the game is greatly reduced in future releases.
How do you do, readers. This is from a 10-year old, and I would like to say this, like all the other people who wrote a review, what went wrong? This game for me, used to be the place that made me smile sometimes, and enjoy apps like this. Probably downloaded this on IOS, and this game was freakishly outstanding. 6-year old me would ask one of my parents if I could play on their phone just to get back to Rolling Sky. Few years later I decided to get a taste of nostalgia and I redownloaded Rolling Sky. As soon as it gets past the company name stuff, it immediately starts a level. I of course play it, and a few levels later, it takes me to the very first level that came out. And even though it explained the tutorial, it still explains! This is a good game, and most of the good levels from the older updates aren’t here with us anymore. And it really bothers me. Fans like those who wrote reviews have similar opinions, so for me, if you are reading this, editor or not, please know that the Rolling Sky you are playing, isn’t the same anymore, it doesn’t some of the original, like Labyrinth, which I don’t remember playing because it’s been so long since I’ve played. Once again, thank you for reading, if you did read. (Edited: I forgot to mention this one complaint, I have watched the same stupid advertisement more than three times!!! MORE THAN THREE TIMES!!!)
