A great game from start - esthetics, game fluidity and physics are spot on.

Great game, installed it based on the great reviews and a recommendation from an online blog. Hate playing games where someone else with a credit card gets ahead. This levels the playing field and I believe is well worth the price. I’m always on the lookout for new apps, not big on racing games ... more strategy then anything. But it’s simple and complex enough that just about anyone would enjoy it. Graphics are refined but not overbearing or so intricate that they render odd or drain your device resources .... gameplay fluidity and physics feel great. I’m particular about that as I’m a fan of flight and simulator games. Decided to install today and found my self playing until my “low battery” notification made me realize how long I’d been on. Im not a big gamer, but this truly is a classic arcade style game I want to keep around.

Excellent water physics and great online racing

This is one of the best racing games I've played. My first racing game was Pole Position (guess that gives away my age) but I've enjoyed numerous racing games including Gran Turismo and many F1 games over the years. This game has excellent water physics, which means you get bumped around a lot by waves, just like you do on a jet ski in real life. You really have to think quick and make constant micro-adjustments to 'land' on the water correctly, on both the big jumps and also on the small micro-jumps in choppy water--to get the best times. Online play is fantastic! Some keys to success include: - on jumps, always get your jet pointed in the right direction before landing, - use most, but not all, shortcuts (some are actually slower), - know when to use tricks (and when not!) - know the best trick for each jump (tip: don't do a big trick that'll give you more boost than your boost meter can hold; that just wastes time), - save your boost to use at the optimal time (many folks use it right away, which isn't always the best way to use it) - when behind, draft others for extra speed, - play online, watch the fastest drivers, then do what they do!

Riptide GP Renegade

Great game! Fantastic graphics. However, there are two things I wish this game had. These are very minor because it is already a perfect game. A free roam option so you can spend time exploring the highly detailed courses. The developers spent a lot of time creating this world, it would be nice to see it without the pressure of racing. The second thing is a simple stunt practice course with no time limit or other riders so you could perfect jumps and tricks. I also enjoy playing the game without having to spend a lot more money on power ups like so many other games require you to do now.

Good not great

If you are a fan of racing games you'll like this game but one major issue ruined the whole game for me the upgrades are messed up you upgrade your Speed Handling and Acceleration well if you upgrade handling to Max you gain more top speed the speed and acceleration options are useless handling is all you need I tested it in a challenging race on a hard difficulty and beat my opponent by 1 minute ahead by maxing out handling nothing else witch is neat but as racing game it takes the fun out of it and you can't really make your ride super fast or anything witch is fair but unfortunate the upgrade system doesn't work I love the gameplay and everything else however deserves editors choice but needs work

Blown Away

This game is crazy good right off the rip but I really love it now that I’ve adjusted to the controls and changed tilt to arrow (personal preference, I guess. This game is fun, the graphics, physics and sound effects are top notch (love the Doppler effect) and the playability and variance make it fun to come back to again and again. I don’t do much online stuff so I’m only playing career and single race and it’s WELL worth the price tag. ONLY COMPLAINT SO FAR? would love to be able to adjust the size and positioning of the directional arrows, boost etc. (like on Wreckfest). Love this game!!!

Amazing through and through. I’m a real person too, if you like this type of game

The only thing I would add to this game is an option to control the throttle, for instance, throttle button bottom right, directly left place the brake button, bottom left a left arrow and a right arrow side by side or even better a equally sized steering wheel and the ability to change the size of both the throttle buttons and steering buttons vertically and horizontally and the ability to slide them wherever you want in screen.

Great game but dead servers.

I love this game but I bought it because I was excited to check out the online multiplayer because I thought it would be awesome but to my dismay I can’t find a single server with one single player......:( maybe consider making the game FREE TO DOWNLOAD but allow us to buy vehicles and gear and cash within the game and it would allow people to play it before they purchase anything and in return bring more new players to your awesome game and bringing the online multiplayer servers back online and alive again.

Fun for some, not all scenarios

Riptide is an amazingly stunning performance of how terrible i am at eye/hand coordination. The graphics are beautiful, and it flows with a force similar to a Japanese tsunami. This game crushes all other racing games. 3 situations i would not play this game, 1) while heavily intoxicated 2) while sitting on water bed 3) while riding your girlfriend. Other than that, this is one epic step away from reality. Oh and maybe not while driving either.

Riptide GP: Renegade is the second Switch game developed and released by Vector Unit, after the decent Beach Buggy Racing.
