Amazing Game!
Thu Apr 26 2018 TheBestCat474

This is one of the best games I have ever played! It’s a little bit difficult to balance the 4 pillars of your kingdom (church, people, defense, money) but that’s what makes the game so interesting to play. You have to be able to make smart choices in order to carry out the different storylines. ⭐️To all of the people out there that think this game is bad because it’s “too complicated” or “Totally random” or “satanic garbage”, why don’t you try using your brains? This game has a wonderfully written storyline, you just have to be smart enough to figure it out. Yes, you may die in the game a lot, but isn’t that the point? It’s a decision based game, so if you aren’t smart enough to make the good decisions in game then you shouldn’t complain. Plenty of other people have figured it out.⭐️ Also, finding out how to upgrade all of your items to get some really cool endings was fun. Other than (probably just me) not being able to figure out the first death (in the top left corner listed in-game), this is overall an amazing game and I would recommend it to everyone who loves a good challenge.

Reigns Her Majesty-ish

This “game” took me a while to figure out how to play but I’ve come up with a good answer that won’t have me shot and won’t have me praised too much until I face an untimely death by a crowd. “Reigns Her Majesty” is a sequel to the first Reigns game. Basically, it’s a strategy game of logic where all choices will result in your present time as a Queen until your death. Depending on how long you live for, the choices you make will eventually get you killed. The goal of the game is simple: You have four icons that fill up in yellow. One is a cross (representing the Church), A person (your reputation within your kingdom), A sword (your strength), and a dollar signs (your money). With these four icons, you mustn’t fill them too high or too low otherwise it will result in death. You also have objectives that you can finish with whichever Queen you are, and if you do these you get rewards that go in your pouch that get saved for later and can be used when the pyramid icon flashes above your pouch when available. During this gameplay, you meet a character named the All-Mother (basically a Goddess of Paganism) and she reels you in with special items, and advice in which you can either serve her or serve your own God (being the Church). Watch out though as the more you hang out with the All-Mother the less your reputation with the Church can dramatically decrease. Overall it’s a great game and fun to play.

Basically the same as the original. If you buy 1 don’t buy the other

I want to love this game… But it is to random. Your decisions don’t seem to have a predictable outcome. You have no idea whether the outcome is going to be good or bad it’s pretty ambiguous. Which is quite frustrating. I don’t think I’ve been able to live more than 15 years in this game (which is only 15 decisions which takes about 5 minutes.) That being said it is a fun game. I just can’t seem to get very far in the game sometimes just for decisions and then I’m dead and I didn’t really seem like there was an obvious answer. Note to the developers: When you make a decision-there is a small or large circle above. It would be great to see if that circle was green or red to know how they’re going to handle it. It’s not taking the fun out of the game it’s taking the frustration out. Also it would be nice if you could add a little more variety to the sayings to help distinguish one reign from the next. It would be also neat if you could add a swipe up or down to add choices. Instead of just yes no right or left. Perhaps those choices could be more or less extreme. I.e. swipe up strongly agree swipe right slightly agree swipe left slightly disagree swipe down strongly disagree Or something.

Pretty good

I got this and reigns to play on a plane ride a while back, and haven’t yet been let down! Great replay value and new stuff shows up often. You basically answer questions by swiping left or right, and the outcome of the decision will affect how long you stay alive in the game. Pretty ok story. I’m a straight white male, so I don’t think the woke feminist ideals are aimed at me, however, I still enjoyed the dynamics of the interaction between people. The only thing I can say I don’t enjoy is the portrayal of the church. Yes, at that time, the church sucked pretty badly. Still, as a Christian in today’s climate, I don’t love how secular media is showing only the worst sides of the church. That being said, it’s a part of the game and it makes it interesting! I would highly recommend this and any other entry into the reigns franchise to anyone, regardless of political bias, religion, gender, or anything in between. These are dope games!!

An RNG game that wastes your time.

I played this game 5 whole times over to try and get the “true” ending, and each and every time I got screwed over by a different element of rng. The first 3 times I got completely screwed by the time capsule, since it just never showed up, and I’m sure I didn’t swipe past it by accident. The 4th time I activated the eclipse, but I died before I could upgrade the holy bone with the witch, so I had to restart AGAIN. And this final, most recent time, I had every other item fully upgraded, and i literally couldn’t finish the game, because every. Single. Time. That I got into the maze and looked for the altar, I just got railroaded into the wishing well. I got in the maze and into the wishing well 6 times. And when I died after 2000, the game forced me to reset. This game is so insanely reliant on rng that you can spend literal days trying to get an ending, and still not get it. That being said, it is fun when you don’t get screwed. Please, just fix the bug where the time capsule just never comes back and blocks all your progress. And if you can, make it so that the wishing well just doesn’t show up after you have the other 4 items upgraded.

Too meta for its own good

This game is fun but misses the mark on a few things - mainly on the pacing of the player experience and on the evolution of the story. The game can be very funny and is at its best when it’s not trying to be cryptic. I just wanted to play the game where I am the queen and am put in interesting situations, but the game kept getting in its own way. When it started getting all meta it lost me. In addition, I wonder how much playtesting was actually done, as I found myself several times in situations that felt like dead ends (they had low probability and/or cryptic solutions). The emphasis seems to have been put in the narrative, at the expense of the actual game/puzzle design, leading to far too many situations where I felt like I was making no progress at all. There is a “fail safe” mechanic that in theory allows you to manipulate your play through to achieve a higher chance of specific events occurring but it is tedious, hard and sloppy to use. I would say the devs missed the mark on making a better Reigns, so I recommend you see this as a weird experiment done with the Reigns system, not as Reigns 2.

Lacking

The game is executed well but it’s not what I expected based off of reviews and category from the App Store. What I want people to know is this game is not an rpg. This is not about making decisions and role playing it is a meter management game where you can basically ignore the story because winning and losing rely completely on managing 4 meters that increase or decrease based on decisions. Te decisions are presented to you through a rng card mechanic that no matter what you decide can end in your death based on how low or high your meters are. It does not reward making decisions that seem “best” but rather what satisfies the meters. All in all I found the game to be disappointing and I didn’t enjoy it past the first hour or so. It’s just a slew of death after death when you follow a role playing play style. This game is definitely a strategy game and a very limited and repetitive one. I’m sure this game has appeal to a lot of people but I have played hundreds of phone games and this just didn’t do it for me.

Love the game but glitchy!!
Sun Mar 03 2019 ThistlePixels

I’ve been playing Reigns Her Majesty for a long while, now. I love the game but since the recent update, there’s been a lot of weird bugs. Things like cards being out of order and appearing after unlocking a character (the frog, for example, showing up with the options “next animal” and “leave the zoo,” both of which do nothing). I hope the game can be fixed, soon, and I can raise my star rating. Until then, it only gets a 2/5 from me, which is a pity. It’s just so frustrating when my choices don’t mean anything because the game decides to add characters back in after I’ve done the correct actions to “get rid of them,” so to speak. :/ Please fix the inconsistencies!! I love this game but my choices being reversed due to a glitch is so frustrating!!! My only other gripe is the push of “feministic ideals.” I greatly dislike the random owl card talking about my female soul and whatever else. It feels very polarizing and could do without.
