Splash Screen removed. Bugs fixed.
Raiders Solo is a fantastic companion for fans of the physical board game, 'Raiders of the North Sea.' For anyone who has struggled to find a group to play with, this app is a lifesaver. It replaces the physical deck of scheme cards and automates the AI opponent, allowing you to focus entirely on your own Viking strategy.
The interface is clean and follows the board game's aesthetic perfectly. It manages the 'Automa' player efficiently, blocking locations and taking actions in a way that provides a genuine challenge. While it isn't a standalone video game version of Raiders, as a tool for solo board gamers, it is indispensable and much easier than managing a physical stack of cards.
Digital deck of 23 AI scheme cards
Compatible with all major game expansions
Easy to use interface for rapid play
Replaces the need for physical solo cards
Set up your physical board game as usual. In the app, select the expansions you are using. The app will then tell you which Village location is blocked and what the AI's move will be each turn.
After your turn, tap the screen to reveal the AI's scheme card. Follow the instructions to move the AI's pieces or resolve their raid, then return to your turn.
No, this is a companion app that requires the physical board game to function.
Played once and worked well. I’m not a hardcore gamer so I’m happy with anything that helps me play my favorite games. This game has been on the shelf since Covid so I’ve been thinking of selling it. With this app I can play again. The app seems skewed in its favor, but actually that is to offset your moves and other mechanics of the game. My first game ended in a tie. So I’m satisfied that this solo mode app will give me more challenges in the future. It looks good, runs smooth and fast. And a huge benefit is, the app makes the game go much quicker because you’re not having to wait for the other player to finish their move. Thanks for this.
Works fine if you are not interrupted. That said I’m learning the game and with no save I can’t finish a game before something happens. Even repurposed an older iPad but still no go. Would rather play to have the solo card pack.
Not having a Save Game feature takes this from a 5-star to a 2-star for me. I like to relax & take games slow when I solo them, and it’s rare a game isn’t interrupted. No save feature seems inexplicable in a product like this. Really miss the physical card deck, which of course was never a problem in this regard.
This solo version to play alongside the actual board game is really fun. Played with the Hall of Heroes expansion only adds to the fun. He gets so many points on those quests!
This app replaces the solo deck for Raiders of the North Sea. It’s easy to use and does what it’s supposed to. I’m satisfied.
Any chance I can get my money back having missed the fine print that this is a companion app to the physical board game and not a solo app?
This doesn’t come out directly and tell you that this requires the board game to play. This is not a full digital port of the solo game, just a ‘helper’ that is used with the actual board game.
