Performance improvements, smoother animations
Fantasy Realms by WizKids is a stellar digital adaptation of the critically acclaimed card game. The 'combo-building' hook is perfectly preserved here: you draw and discard, trying to create the most powerful hand possible before the discard pile hits ten cards. It’s a game that takes seconds to learn but offers immense depth in terms of synergy and scoring.
The digital version shines with its three game modes—Solo, Pass & Play, and Local AI—and the inclusion of weekly high score lists adds a great competitive edge. The UI is clean, and having the computer handle the (sometimes complex) scoring of the physical game is a massive benefit. It’s a 'just one more game' experience that feels great on a tablet, and the addition of single-user challenges keeps the solo experience fresh. A must-have for fans of the physical game and card game enthusiasts alike.

Complex auto-scoring system
Look for cards that multiply the power of others, like the Book of Changes or the World Tree, to drastically boost your final score.
Play the solo mode to complete specific hand-building challenges and climb the global high score lists.
The game ends when there are 10 cards in the discard area.
I’d call this a minimum viable product, not very lovable. The interaction animations are clunky, the sounds are awful. Some card effects are just broken. (Necromancer’s end of game bonus.) If you are desperate to play FR digitally, this is it, but it doesn’t inspire fun enough to want to keep playing. It’s more an exprience to tolerate than enjoy.
Game crashes a lot. Developer doesn’t seem to care about it. Too bad.
My partner and I play this card game all the time. I was hoping for a digital version we could play together, as well as a solo mode. Unfortunately, this app just isn’t there yet. So many issues/glitches, it’s basically useless. I hope this app gets the overhaul this game deserves! (At least make the offline scoring usable!)
I love the card game, but the app is too clunky. It’s too easy to discard a card by accident. It’s too hard to rearrange your hand. Even drawing a card is not as smooth as one would expect. It really ruins the playing experience. I hope the developers will keep improving this app.
I love the card game in-person and was excited to play on app. Unfortunately, the AI takes about 60 seconds or so to play and I have the latest updates. Basically useless.
Haven’t played the game but had to give it a 1 star because of the annoying pop up that keeps asking for a review.
Constantly crashing and glitching out. For a relatively simple game, the lack of stability is frustrating.
I had never played this game before this app. It’s super easy to learn, and a game plays in just a few minutes, so it’s perfect on a work break. I like the different modes. The UI is easy, the card designs are cool. There’s enough depth to keep it interesting, but not so much that it’s overwhelming, so it’s good for casual gamers as well as strategic players. I have found one bug: my scores in solo mode don’t save properly in the solo leaderboard. It’ll record an incorrect (even negative) number, but then disappear and not even show a solo score. Scores do properly save in the game against AI though, so that’s good. Not a huge deal, but this should be fixed. Like another reviewer said, the UI is a little clunky. It’s almost impossible to rearrange your hand. (Though you don’t have to rearrange it to play, it would be nice to keep cards organized if you wish to.) The game is still playable though. I haven’t had issues drawing or discarding, you just have to hold and let go at the right time. I do wish you could just click to zoom instead of holding to zoom, so that your finger isn’t covering parts of the card you’re trying to read. If you could just click once to look at the card and then click away from it to make it zoom back, that would be better. Overall though this is a great game. Thank you developer for the fair premium price with no ads or IAP. That’s really appreciated. I highly recommend this game overall. Perfect for when you want a deck-building fix but don’t have a lot of time. Lots of replayability here. It’s a really fun game.
