Chai Game is a masterclass in digital board game adaptation. As a fan of the physical tabletop version, I was blown away by how smoothly Digidiced translated the 'tea merchant' experience to mobile. The interface is clean, colorful, and makes managing the various ingredients—rooibos, green, oolong—feel tactile and intuitive.
The AI is surprisingly competent, especially on higher difficulties, making the solo experience very rewarding. However, the online lobby system is the real highlight, allowing for both fast-paced and casual games with friends. The round structure is perfect for mobile; a full game of 5 rounds feels substantial but doesn't overstay its welcome. It's easily one of the most charming and well-produced board game apps on the Store.

When visiting the tea market, try to buy ingredients that are adjacent to each other to save on costs. Efficiency in the first two rounds is key to a high score.
Focus on fulfilling orders for customers that match your specialized tea type for bonus points. Don't be afraid to use 'reserve' to keep high-value orders away from opponents.
A standard game consists of 5 rounds and typically takes 15-30 minutes depending on the number of players.
Chai has a lot of features for a board game. AI for playing solo. The AI opponents are solid especially on hard difficulty. Can chat with people in public group chat or private in-game chat. There is replays to save your best winning moments. There are 5 rounds total but each round go by quite fast. Doesn’t take a month to finish like some online board games. Board games tend to be complicated & confusing to learn but Chai isn’t so complex to learn. It’s one of the more simple board games but has enough strategy for the better player to win consistently.
Fun game about fulfilling orders with easy rules and a smooth interface.
