This latest update, welcome and needed, thank you, has us combating random behemoths on the first island when you are very likely going to run into them (I ran into two in the first 10 minutes) wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a colt that you’ve probably used at least half the ammo. I play the survivor with the gun and “radar” perk, and 14 rounds on 45acp, at 3-4 rounds per zombie to kill it, isn’t a huge advantage. I decided to try pulling the regular difficulty to get the guns unlocked first. After at least a dozen games, none longer than 90 minutes, I unlocked the mac10 and the shotgun, (as yet to actually find one, though). Switched to Veteran to try unlocking the new characters, but the closest I have ever come to that was 2 completed tasks (a behemoth killed me before I picked up the reward). Way too hard to play. My wish list? I would like to see the islands difficulty ratings adjusted. I like the zoom out on it, but can you give us the ability to set our own screen resolution, and the joystick is practically near the middle of the screen, can we move it back to the corner? I play on an iPad Pro, so it’s a strain to hold the iPad and stretch my thumb all the way over there, very uncomfortable. As to the rest, we’ll keep playing as long as you keep providing us with this wonderful game, and you’ve done a GREAT job with fixes and content so far. Brilliant job.

An absolute hidden gem! 💎

This game is an excellent survival game with good rougelight elements to ensure replay ability. The survival portion is what you will be both struggling and enjoying the most of. Making difficult decisions based on current circumstances, learning which ammunition types go with which guns, completing quests for other survivors and even crafting! There is a surprising amount of depth making every run its own experience. Unlocking new starting characters and weapons feels pretty natural as most of the requirements will probably be completed on accident (except for that ‘find 6 choppa crashes in 1 run’ requirement, you ain’t getting that without intent). There is a couple weird/annoying bugs and designs that leave me scratching my head, Like the gun unlock requirements only update after you die meaning you can’t track your progress very well which is pretty annoying but still playable. The bugs are pretty stupid but not common, having a brute in the middle of a lake, all the buttons becoming GAINT for no reason and my personal favorite: the world just not loading leaving a completely walkable but empty white void between towns. Thankfully, all of these have been solved with just a simple reload. Overall I’m surprised not many have found this game and if you’re currently reading this review to decide on if you want to try I highly encourage you to play. This is easily one of the best mobile games I have ever played. Also…. IT’S NOT P2W!

I love this game. I can never get enough, though it drains my entire battery in 45 minutes. I don’t have anything negative to say and positivity would sound generic and bot-like, so I’ve come up with a wishlist. 1) MULTIPLAYER- I feel the ability to be running around and just finding and teaming up with another player would be awesome, especially for those harder difficulties like veteran. There could be a little chat option where the player can type to team up or just… chat. 2)SPECIFIC ISLAND GUIDES- When I start a game, I usually go around looting every town on the first island to get the best gear before I hit up island 2, which usually leaves me with 0 exploration or knowledge of island 2, and I end up dying because of walking into something I shouldn’t have. I think it’d be great to have island specific guides that could tell you basically what the different symbols mean, what new zombie types you’ll be facing, and so on. I just think that this would help people who are newer to the game or just don’t have much experience outside island 1 to get a better hold of the game and allow for better decision making. If you seriously read all that devs, I love you and I thank you sincerely for your time. You don’t have to follow my suggestions, I’ll still love the game anyways. Unless you make it harder. At which point there won’t be a point. Thank you for your time.

The game is good but it could use improvements

The game is really fun and I do enjoy it but there’s a few problems. First of all the inventory is way too small. you can only pick up a few items The zombie combat is kind of weird whenever I had to fight a zombie I would run away and slightly slow down for it to catch up but then I would have to trade damage with the zombie which felt a little weird and I lost health every time I had to fight a zombie. I feel like to fix this you should have it where it takes a few split seconds more for the zombie to hit you so that way you have time to dodge. Also I have another problem with the sound in the game. It all sounds like earape i’m not sure if it’s just me but for some reason it sounds like somebody is screaming into the microphone whenever it rains or whenever I take a step. Sounds like the volume of every single sound is turned up by 100. Besides all of these things the game is really good the items of scarce enough so that way it is impossible to find them and the game style fits perfectly with the game and the controls are pretty nice. I would suggest this game

It’s a game with a ton of potential but...

The concept of this game is great and it has potential to be loved worldwide. But it needs some work. For starters, if you’re attacking a zombie with a melee weapon (which is pretty much the only kind of weapon you’re going to be able to find for a long time) you have to run right up on them and whether or not you get hit by one is entirely up to luck. Most of the time, you won’t be able to kill a zombie without it hitting you a ton of times first. So then, you’re bleeding. You use a bandage. You’re good to go. Then BOOM- another zombie, or group of zombies. So again, you repeat the process, you finally kill them all but you’re bleeding and nearly dead because there’s no way to dodge the attacks but to hope they don’t land (which they will) so you tear up your shirt and apply it as a bandage. You go to loot to look for something to replace your shirt and boom- more zombies. You don’t have anymore bandages and can’t find any so you decide to run. But guess what! You can’t outrun the zombies either. There are a couple zombies that might be a bit slower than you, but most of them can keep pace and a good bit of them can actually run FASTER than you... so yeah, so much for that. This game really could be great, but you need to change the looting and make the zombies much weaker... or at least make firearms and ammo easier to find. Aiming to make a game realistic is cool and all but some of us just want to have fun

Don’t stop.

I’ve played this game since summer last year and I have loved how in the last update you actually changed some aspects and mechanics because you READ THE REVIEWS. I also love how now you can actually get a gun, before it was literally impossible to find a gun and even worse, ammo for it. I would like to address some recommendations though, everyone wants multiplayer, so AT LEAST put local(on same WiFi) and make the crafting part the other person put really into it and functioning. I also would like for you to, like the other guy said, add buyables but you can still unlock them. Like a shotgun that you need to kill ten zombies with the sawed off shotgun for example, to add something like that with all the other unlockable guns and maybe even a customize your OWN character, like in pixel gun where you can make you guy from scratch and add starting clothes that can be customized but still don’t affect your start. So in the end please add multiplayer and customizations, but apart from that I really recommend this game to anybody who wants a genuine zombie apocalypse experience.(and for the record, I don’t think the gun “decay” or whatever is too high but please try to put some matching ammo in gun shops with the guns) Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Good but may I suggest something

Honestly I would rate a 3.5. I’m not saying that this game is bad but the truth is that it’s mediocre. The things it does well are the looting and map design. I like how the map is always random. It’s does this very well but each town looks more or less the same. The food and thirst system needs a lot of improvement. I shouldn’t have to carry around 5 things of bacon just so I can go to the next town without starving to death. The one main complaint I have does involved the loot system (that is good for the most part). There’s no reason to keep playing once you get an assault rifle and vest so I’d like to make a recommendation. Why not allow players to keep loot in a storage locker of some sort. Allow players to build containers and weapon lockers. I would also make it to where you can respond as long as you have a fort but you would spawn at a random location and have to find it (the fort). You could still keep the one life per game n veteran but this would allow players to gradually build up the skills to play on veteran and allow more replay ability. This is a good game and I would recommend it but you need to be patient and tolerate some things. I hope this game continues to get regular updates like the PC version and I hope you take what I’m saying into consideration. I’d look into Escape From Tarkov and DayZ Epoch for some ideas.

You gotta love the challenge (add blue tooth sync)

I play this game proudly because of the kind of challenge it brings to a mobile app. There’s nothing more fun than constantly needing to adapt to survive this harsh world. Of course these challenges can be considered inconveniences in some eyes which I can understand. For instance the easiest difficulty can be pretty hard for a beginner but it’s not impossible. This game continues to surprise me with the random generation of maps, the random events that occur within, and how awesome it feels to overcome a near death experience. Scavenging never feels more rewarding when you actually find something you really need. Weapons and armor do deteriorate fast and the items you use to repair them are pretty much obsolete (I’ve rarely found a cleaning kit and it only repairs your gun 25%) but it’s these inconveniences that force you do constantly adapt your strategy and switch your load out that really makes this game amazing and challenging to play. And I love a good challenge, especially when it’s on my phone. Applause to the devs. One more thing: if multiplayer is too much, please add blue tooth sync or WiFi sync so at least 2 people can play together without changing too much in the base game
