1. Fixed known bugs in the game
2. Optimized game performance
Mini Airways Premium is the rare 'stressful' game that manages to be incredibly zen at the same time. The minimalist aesthetic is beautiful, but don't let the clean lines fool you—managing a dozen flights at once while trying to avoid a mid-air collision is a high-stakes puzzle that demands total focus.
The Premium version is definitely the way to go, as it gives you access to all 15 global airports (like London, Tokyo, and Washington) without any interruptions. The progression feels natural, introducing new mechanics like VIP flights and inclement weather just when you think you've mastered a map. The recent addition of a 3x speed toggle is a godsend for the early stages of a round, letting you jump straight into the chaotic, high-density traffic where the real fun begins. It's easily one of the best management sims on the App Store.
15 classic global airports with unique layouts
Over 10 types of airport upgrades and historical events
Real-time control with emergencies like VIP flights and bad weather
Minimalist, high-definition interface with dark mode support
Always prioritize keeping a vertical or horizontal buffer between planes. Use the 3x speed for early game, but drop back to 1x as soon as you have more than 5 planes on screen to ensure you don't miss a collision warning.
Weather events and VIP aircraft will disrupt your flow. When inclement weather hits, runways may close or visibility may drop, requiring you to use holding patterns more aggressively than usual.
The Premium version provides the full experience with all maps unlocked and no ads or in-app purchases.
I played this on steam and was hooked. I've been looking for something like this on iOS for years ever since Flight Control game was discontinued. I love the hectic but controlled chaos that comes from ATC. The only feedback is that the voices are a bit weird and could do with a re-record.
This is a really fun game. I also bought the Steam version. My only small issue with this one is the ridiculously small text and other controls. I have the largest iPhone and it’s hard for me to see. I have to play on my iPad instead. I do love when you get the magnifier for certain aspects of the game. I’d like to see more of that as well as a larger font size. I’ll update my review if an update arrives with larger text 😃🤓
What’s up with these planes in this game? Sometimes the vector is the perfect and the plane lands right at the airport where you want to go and then other times this is impossible to do it. It could be the same approach both times but all of a sudden the second time it won’t work, I think you guys really need to go back to the drawing board and fix that! Frustrating!
It's fairly faithful to the PC/steam version. Major issue is the maneuvering - it's easier to drag paths to land planes on PC. For mobile it requires a bit of extra micro movements on the planes before they can figure out a flight path to land. There seem to be more correcting you need to mak on mobile vs pc.
Game is really good but parallel approaches freeze the game, and the gameplay is way too slow. I play on x2 speed the entire time and find it’s still really slow since the game only seems to load in one departure and one arrival at a time. I’m around halfway through the stages, and just find it extremely boring due to no rise in traffic density ever.
Perhaps it was just me being gullible, but when reading out each scenario I was under the impression that the game was introducing special storm or bird flock mechanics into certain scenarios when, in actuality, all that changes are that mission's objectives with some cute flavor text to justify them.
The game is amazing, but I am having a issue. When I play this game on the steam mode the airspace gets bigger. But when I play on IOS or mobile the airspace dose not get bigger. Of you could fix this this game would be a 10/10.
Please make it easier to figure out how to get landing headings that work! Currently it is driving me crazy and making me not want to play. But if it can be understood easier then I will edit and upgrade my review. Thanks!
