- minor improvements
Hello Tower is a surprisingly deep and realistic airport management simulator that puts you in the hot seat of an Air Traffic Controller. Unlike many arcade-style airport games, this title focuses on the technical nuances of ground maneuvering and tower operations. Managing pushbacks, taxi clearances, and runway timing across real-world locations like Heathrow and JFK feels rewarding, especially when you successfully navigate a peak-hour rush without any delays or emergencies.
The game offers two distinct ways to play: a simplified mode for beginners and a 'Real Size' mode for veterans. The latter is where the game truly shines, requiring genuine spatial awareness and planning. The graphics are clean and functional, providing the necessary data for a controller without overwhelming the screen. While there's a learning curve regarding wake turbulence and departure slots, the satisfaction of a perfectly orchestrated airport is unmatched in the mobile simulation space.
40+ realistic airport layouts
Dual mode: Simplified and Pro
Real-world wake turbulence logic
Emergency handling scenarios
Accurate aircraft models and liveries
When an aircraft requests pushback, ensure the path behind it is clear. Draw taxi routes carefully to avoid nose-to-nose conflicts between arrivals and departures. Use holding points to manage traffic flow during busy periods.
The game incorporates realistic elements like wake turbulence separation, where smaller planes must wait longer after a heavy jet takes off. Successfully managing these timers while meeting departure slots is key to earning high scores.
Major hubs like London Heathrow, Miami Intl, Singapore Changi, and New York JFK are all playable.
I love this game. Super realistic, and I really like the way you control the aircraft. Also one problem with this game is that there are a lack of gates at most of the airports. There are only a few dozen gates at the largest international airports, and that just isn’t realistic. If I had just one thing that I would really like to add to this game, I would like to add more US airports. Especially I would like to see EWR Newark Airport that would be an excellent addition to the game. Overall a great game and would definitely recommend to someone like me who has an interest in aviation and air traffic control!
This is a good simulation/game of being a combined tower and ground controller. The graphics are really good and the aircraft are real and accurate. Departure slot times with wake turbulence separation is realistic to real world. Relocating aircraft is also a part of life aside from takeoffs and landings. I like the slot times changing. Graphics are superb. Here are my 2cents to fix some stuff. The UI tools are too large and should be reorganized. Too often you are moving/zooming in and out of the map (especially large airports) to manage your traffic. The UI text should be reduced like the aircraft text can. Radar/airports should be oriented to true north. This is nitpicky but makes a really good app go to great. I’d love to see (buy) more airports and maybe see things like rejected takeoffs, emergency vehicles and emergency inbounds. How about ability to call a go around that penalizes you if you have a plane on the runway. Stuff like that. Really love this sim. 787 pilot
Once I got a hang of it, this game really turned out to be a lot of fun and very realistic, which I enjoy. I like that it has the timeslots for taking off along with the sequence to follow with the aircraft. I also like to fine tuned controls like pushing back the aircraft in certain directions and being able to select the taxiways. I do wish there was an endless mode. I also wish when you zoom in that the boxes for the aircraft got a little bit bigger instead of staying small and the same size as the info boxes can be hard to read. Maybe next you could expand it to be in the tower control and in charge of approach and landing the aircraft that are arriving. It’s a great game and I highly recommend you buy it.
Honestly this is one of the best ground games out there. Would love to see this designer try approach and departure next, which admittedly is a different beast. Been playing for I want to say over a year, and what I like is the refined stop controls and the pathing. 2026 Update: Still a great game. There have been some refinements that I’ve liked. Would love to see a follow on game that covers approaches and towers. For this game, a way to get out of impossible situations would be nice, such as when a moving craft is stopped by a parked craft. The game doesn’t end, but no way to continue. I would also like to be able to program custom stop points similar to PLUTO, SATURN, etc that exist on the LHR airport.
I love this game, I really do. But it’s at a point where the smallest mistake causes the aircrafts to either get stuck, collide and get stuck, or simply wont even push back from the gate. It forces you to restart the entire game even after spending 10-20 minutes doing everything else right. It’s a bummer because this game really has a lot of potential and it’s one of the only mobile games I still play. I never leave written reviews but I want the devs to see this and improve on the small bugs and annoyances that aren’t even the player’s fault. Again, love this game, just wish there was a way to get aircraft unstuck or have a ground crew function where I can move aircraft around if they get stuck.
This is a fun game but it could use some improvements. First, there should be a much smaller airport (with only a single runway and a few gates) to help new players out. This could be considered the “tutorial airport”. Also, it would be great to have an infinite mode where you can keep going as long as you want. Lastly, I don’t know if this is already a thing, but it would be cool to have to deal with emergencies.
I get penalized for my flights leaving too early. I have never, EVER, heard anyone complain about a flight that leaves too early. Add on top of that an unintuitive, poorly-thought-out user interface, no in-app help, no tutorial, locked levels, etc. Pass Response to Developer response: Booting me out to a browser for help is not what I call “in-app” help, hence the term “in-app.” Departure Slots are an interesting concept; maybe if there was a tutorial to teach me these things as I play, they wouldn’t come as a surprise. And locked levels still choke - if I want to play JFK, I WANT TO PLAY JFK! Why is the game standing in my way?
I can’t attest to whether the game is realistic or not but man do I enjoy it. This is my go to game on my phone. The controls take a little getting used to but once you understand it you’re good to go. I’ve played every map on hard several times through. Just hoping for updates with more maps and challenges to come. Highly recommend.
