Labyrinth: The War on Terror is an absolute triumph of digital board game adaptation. Designed by Volko Ruhnke, this game manages to tackle a heavy, complex subject matter with incredible tactical depth. The asymmetrical gameplay—playing as the United States trying to spread democracy vs. the Extremists trying to exert influence—creates a tense tug-of-war that feels different every single time you play.
The UI is clean and does a great job of managing the 120+ event cards, which would be a nightmare to track manually. While the learning curve is undeniably steep, the included tutorials are excellent at breaking down the core concepts of cells, prestige, and regional stability. This isn't just a game; it's a deep simulation of modern geopolitical conflict that demands your full attention. For fans of strategy and history, it is a must-own.

Focus on improving regional governance and maintaining high prestige to make it harder for extremist cells to operate.
Use cards for their Operation Points or to trigger specific historical events that can swing the tide of the war.
Yes, the game features a sophisticated AI that can provide a significant challenge for solo players.
I abosutely love this game! Very great strategy and I’ve learned a lot about the conflict through playing the game but I just have one ask, please fix the reassessment function. Whenever I try to reassess it doesn't work and I have to abandon my game that I’ve worked so hard on.
The game is deep, and has a STEEP learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really good. The AI player is pretty tough for new players, but stick with it and reference the rule book, which you can do mid-match. Also would like to add they have “gamified” some serious subject matter without it being insensitive or tacky.
This a complex game that takes some time to learn but is intellectually challenging. I’m still figuring things out but enjoying it.
Just got this on the new phone. The app seems fine but on the new phone I get stuck not being able to play cards . IOS thinks I’m trying to swipe away the app. Also the tutorial text is sadly too small for my eyes. The card effect makes the app unplayable.
This is an amazing adaptation of the board game. I’m hoping that the expansions come soon?
It’s tough but it’s good and interesting
Wasted $10 on this game, cannot complete tutorial due to a frozen screen.
