June's Journey is much more than just a hidden object game; it’s a serialized mystery drama that happens to have puzzles. Set in the lush, vibrant world of the 1920s, the game manages to maintain a 'cozy' atmosphere even while dealing with murder and family scandals. The art style is impeccable—every scene is hand-drawn with a level of detail that makes the search-and-find mechanics feel rewarding rather than tedious.
What sets it apart from competitors is the island-building meta-game. As you solve mysteries, you earn decorations to renovate Orchid Island. This dual-loop of finding clues and designing your estate provides a perfect balance of mental stimulation and creative relaxation. With new chapters released weekly, the narrative depth is staggering, keeping players invested in June's family secrets for years. It’s the gold standard for the genre.
Stunning hand-drawn 1920s artwork
Weekly new story chapters
Orchid Island customization and building
Detective Clubs and social competitions
Intriguing murder mystery plot
Over 1000 scenes to explore
In each level, look for the list of items at the bottom of the screen. Tapping items quickly increases your score multiplier. Once you find the required 'Clue' item, you'll earn stars used to unlock new chapters and progress the narrative of June's investigation.
Gameplay is split between 'Hidden Object Scenes' and 'Orchid Island.' In the scenes, you search for objects to uncover the plot. On the island, you use earned currency to build structures and gardens, which in turn provides 'Flower' points needed to unlock more scenes.
Yes, it is free to download and play, though it offers in-app purchases for items like diamonds and coins.
Losing energy when trying to play this game because I get kicked off while playing. Jul 27 I dream of Juney When I am trying to play this game I am continually being kicked off. The game quits and goes back to my main screen. I have lost energy and prizes. It has gotten worse since the beginning of the 5th anniversary. It seems to be worse when there is an event to play. I read where you fixed some minor bugs but not this one. It's now 12:43 A.M. and it's still doing it. I have a very good internet connection and the other games I play do not do this. I like Pearls Peril and Lyndas Legacy and these games play fine. I'm only rating it a two star because of this glitch in the game. I'm on volume 2 chapter 12 and I'm giving up on it. I can't advance because of this BIG problem. I have been trying again to play this game on my IPad and it's still kicking me OFF. If anyone out there has this problem please let the people know about it. It's now June of 2023 and I have had this problem for about a year and I'm still disgusted with it. I can play it on my phone but l'm not as far into the game as on my IPad. I know other people who have the same issue. I'm now on volume three chapter three and I'm really disgusted. It will let me play about once every three or four days. I'm losing out on all the event's because it won't let me play. Especially after an ad or when I'm trying to get the coins off. I'm not on Facebook so l'm playing with Wi-Fi. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
I like this game. My wife started playing before me & got me playing. Strange but one of my favorite parts is gifting plants to others & receiving them too. Unfortunately I play this game on my IPhone & having vision issues effects my game play. I still play it though. I would like the advertisements to be shortened up. They last way too long. I understand the need for them but they last longer than they should. Thx. Update: Still like the game. But please shorten the ads down. They are way too long. Update again: Please make the train actually move around the track. That would be so cool. Update: When your very long tedious commercial/Ads play I set my phone aside. Can you please shorten them? Update: Waited 30 seconds with just a timer then when it timed out I had to watch the two long commercials. I ignore because they are too long. Update #?: Hello again. Please please please hear me this time. Your commercials/ads can be so long & tedious. Can u shorten them. I enjoy this game & it still has a 5 star from me. Update again: Enjoy this game a lot. Ads are way too long. I ignore them. Update: If it’s possible can u make the train to move around the track. I’d love that. It would be cool. Update: The very long ads are monotonous. Please shorten them. Update: Please make your commercial/ads shorter. Instead of making the ads/commercials a reasonable length they made them longer. Now they try to force you into uploading another app so their income increases. It’s frustrating. May soon delete it.
UPDATE ….. Still playing , still loving , still my FAVORITE iOS game ! Been 2 years now I think 👍👍👍👍 I never do game reviews , but this game ( junes journey) as well as WOOGA definitely deserves a great review! I usually download and delete 99 % of the free as well as the ones that I buy and play on my ipad! I am such a picky gamer . I like good graphics, good storylines , games that are challenging enough , but not overly challenging, so that I can move along without getting stuck on one scene and more. The graphics are beautiful and best part YOU CAN PLAY!!! Thank you wooga!! Thank you for not being greedy like most of these developers. If you really want to play for free you can . I am unemployed at the moment and couldn’t put any money in and literally played forever and was able to go through 90 chapters as well as buy island decor . I absolutely love that part of the game ! Story, puzzles , decorate , hidden objects and great graphics. Need I say more! Anyway, I have put money in here and there , which is only fair being that this company’s generosity. Well deserved ! I really really hope wooga will put out a new game like this one soon .. wouldn’t change a thing except a new story of course. They do have pearls peril which is cute , but graphics are ehhhh . So I will be waiting patiently for a new one to come out , and of course will be playing it! Junes Journey is the ONLY game I have stuck with so far . I play it everyday . 5 stars for me !
I have been playing this game for a while and I love playing. I’ve shared with friends and family how fun this game is. I like that there is a story with the hidden object scenes. Recently I started listening to the podcast as well and it’s a good addition to the game. There are options to buy diamonds, decorations, etc in the game however the developers have created it so that purchase isn’t a must which is nice. I do opt to watch the ads so that I don’t use as much energy per game play. The decorations are nice. At first I didn’t understand the benefits from having the decorations however after playing for a little while I slowly began to understand. It has become just as much fun to decorate the island as it is to play the scenes. The one thing that is bothersome a little is the time it takes to watch the ads and for the ads to load. It takes 30 seconds for some ads to just load and that doesn’t include the watch time for the ads. Sometimes the ads won’t load it will just sit and spin. I have also encountered a few times that the ads did not load and it went on for me to start playing the scene once I start the playing then the ad will pop up kicking me out of playing the scene. This causes a lose of energy which is frustrating. The only other concern I have is the occasional foul language in the story. I don’t like those types of words and feel that hey are not needed because it takes away from the quality of the game. Other than that a great game.
this game is close to being perfect. the characters and stories are fun and engaging, there’s several different games within the game, all of which i’ve enjoyed, and you get to travel all around the world with june as she goes on adventures and solves cases. now for the downsides: there are certain challenges that are nearly impossible to finish without spending money, and if you don’t finish, you don’t get rewards. the main game of spotting things in scenes is doable, but pretty much all of the side games are fun at the start, but an exercise in frustration if you actually want to win. the timed challenges give you ridiculously small amounts of time, then offer to add more time if you spend gems, which you can earn in the game, but cost money in quantity. i constantly feel like i’m being coerced into spending money, which i really don’t appreciate because i watch a ton of ads for them in order to bypass time stalls, so they are already making oodles of money on me. my other issue is that there have been two times where they did not give me what was promised, and the Help was no help. they promise rewards if you bring someone into the game and they play a certain amount of games. i followed their instructions to the T, and got nothing in return. corresponding with them was useless. another time i had two star boxes disappear. again i got the runaround in trying to get this fixed, which it never was. they’re very kind in correspondence, but nothing is done.
The management of this game is so bad that I will forevermore check to see if a game is developed by wooga before downloading and playing. I will never play another wooga game. They DO NOT CARE about their player base. This used to be a fun game that I spent real money on to support. I started playing a little over a year ago and loved it. But lately, the game has gone downhill. There are SO many glitches that are never fixed let alone acknowledged by the developers. They even deny obvious glitches exist. They added competitions and clubs/alliances which I thought would be fun. But they are glitchy, don’t make a lot of sense and the reward structures for competitions are ridiculous compared to other games. Their competition algorithm is based on placement instead of scores which makes very little sense. They are very stingy with rewards and I’m not the type who constantly complains or feels owed things I didn’t earn. Overall, the game is poorly managed. They make sketchy decisions like offering unearned rewards to some players but not all players. It’s like it’s one of those unethical psychological experiments from years ago where they test peoples’s limits. Oh, and the help desk isn’t very helpful. They didn’t know the difference between odds and probability. They have never been able to correct an issue with the actual game (not talking abt perceived issues. I mean real glitch issues). They are very slow to respond. In my opinion, they are taking advantage of an older less tech savvy player base.
I really enjoy June’s journey. I play the game a few times a day. The scenes are beautiful and finding the items is challenging but fun. Scenes can be replayed as often as you like and coins are always accumulated. Playing scenes produces prizes which can be used to get items or bolts to aid in continuing to play. The developers are also extremely responsive to the players concerns. So, it takes a while for items with big flower payouts to mature...but you can continue to play and choose smaller flower payouts. The developers are continuing to create the game scenes and as intricate as the scenes are, it takes time to create them hence the pace of the game at times. I have no complaints about June’s Journey at all! Yes, I spend my own money for some things. Paid purchases are by choice not force! I have set a personal limit of no more than $10 a month- some months I spend zero $. Again my choice and not making real money purchases does not hinder one’s ability to play. The ads are short and players are given the option not to watch the ads. Hint, if you do not like watching the ads, don’t watch them. Simple solution. Wooga- keep up the great work!! If you are interested in playing a great game, June’s Journey is a game for you. 5 star game all around. Absolutely no issues here and I have been playing for almost a year. I am a RN Clinical Director and I generally play on my breaks at work (time permitting) and in the evenings after work/ household duties for relaxation.
There’s a lot of good aspects of the game. The landscape is nice because you can personalize your game, the bush giving feature is nice to gain extra rewards and the finding objects scenes are all different and intriguing. I especially like that you can continue to play and get rewards from scenes even after you’ve mastered them. The team challenges in the cafe are also very nice because you can get a lot of rewards for not a lot of effort so long as your team all puts in some effort. My favorite part is that you are not required to watch any ads if you don’t want to. While I like the game and it’s dynamics, there are some things that I don’t especially like. Once I reached 30 days, my daily rewards stopped, which I find frustrating. I would rather start at day 1 every 30 days than lose daily rewards all together. Additionally, the events where you can get rewards by collecting keys from scenes and challenges are just a little too short and I would prefer if they were a little longer, so it seemed more likely to get all the rewards. Finally, while others might not choose to, I watch the ads. I’ve found I’ll watch the ad, try to hit the x button once it pops up, and the entire game will crash. I’ll reload the game, and have to watch the ad again, which is annoying. It happens about 50% of the time. Overall, I like the game and find it fun to play. There are new things being added pretty often and the Devs seem to be making edits to make the game better, which is very nice.
