Bug fixed and technical improvements.
Idle Huntress: Girl's Land is a polished entry in the 'waifu-collector' RPG subgenre. It doesn't stray far from the established formula—collecting heroes based on historical figures, leveling them up, and watching them battle in auto-combat—but it does the basics very well. The Live2D art is the standout feature; the character designs are high-quality and very expressive.
The 'Idle' aspect is handled fairly, allowing you to progress and gain resources even when you aren't actively playing. This makes it a great side-game that doesn't demand hours of your time. While the gacha mechanics are present and can be tempting, the game provides enough free currency to build a solid team without spending. It’s a vibrant, low-stress RPG for fans of anime-style character collection.
Over 100 unique huntresses
Stunning Live2D character art
Passive idle reward system
Strategic elemental combat
Guild and PvP battle modes
Pay attention to the elemental wheel (Fire, Water, Earth, Air). Even a lower-level team can beat a powerful boss if they have the elemental advantage, so keep a diverse roster leveled up.
Before logging off, ensure your huntresses are assigned to the highest possible stage in the 'Campaign' mode. This maximizes the amount of XP and gold you generate while offline.
Yes, the game offers many daily quests and events that provide the 'Summoning' currency for free.
The concept of the game is unique and different. Blue star if you want to make this a way better game do better and make your game better than all the pay to play games that make you spend your money and barley get anywhere with it. Make it so my money is worth spending more and more. If you keep the game interesting and rewarding then you will make this game way better than It is now. Improving the new player experience is needed at a maximum as it’s hard to navigate what you are doing at sometimes and the overwhelming amount of buttons and menus can cause a lot of confusion and frustration not knowing how to get into the settings or even finding a new unlocked area in adventure or even a new way of earning better resources from unlocking them in the story. Listen to everyone and I know you want to make money we all want to. If you make it worth buying or evening not evening buying it all as a matter. Give the new players and experience that keeps on given a reason to hop on the game and spend some quality time. It’s common sense and this is just the few responses you may or may not see ever but you better acknowledge that we will pay for you game more and we will spend it at our hearts desire. Please I’m begging you time improve to be better than other games.
I will say the early game is a lot better than I was expecting. However, my biggest issue with the game right now is that there’s no way to replay previous missions. Currently, I’m stuck on a level in the campaign map AND the queen’s tower. The ONLY way I can gain practice points now is to wait for my idle rewards… and they don’t give a lot, even after 12 hours, which is the maximum reward. And god forbid after all that waiting, I use them on a huntress that turns out to be trash. If my high-level huntresses aren’t doing the job, there needs to be a way to play previous missions so I can level up the lower level huntresses, and actually experiment with their abilities before they get absolutely obliterated. I’m the game’s current state, if you get stuck on the Lv 80+ missions and you don’t have many high level huntresses, you’re gonna be stuck there for a WHILE. I have no idea how long it’s gonna take. Weeks? Months? YEARS??? Please, for the love of god, let us replay previous missions!
I loved this game my husband found it and introduced me we were hooked. When this first came out it didn’t have a whole lot to it and it was amazing to watch the game grow. It is apparent though, I leave this review to tell you now you are going to start loosing your whales, the people with mega money to spend. The difficulty to 6 star ANY UNIT has greatly grown and every new character it is harder and harder to get. How is it, that the number % remains the same for drawing a rare unit and yet the average pulls to 6 star have gone from 500 to well over 700 to 800 pulls, that’s well over 100k gems. It gets harder to believe the gacha % when hundreds of people report among the message boards the same thing, it’s getting harder. Also a issue for updates, we have lost so many guild members and paying people due to some random update and then multiple accounts being locked out unable to log in. But you don’t help any of them! I continue to play, but it’s to the point I wonder the day some random update will do it for me, or when it’s just too much. Earth Lori event, then you did water Lori the differences of just a few months you have cut down the time in half, removed discount shop, and only added more pay packages. Enough is enough please go back to how it used to be with the character pulls. Be honest the chance to pull a rare character being the same numbers over time but hundreds report over time it’s changed? Is it the same?
If you’re looking for a game to pick up and play occasionally then this game is really addicting and can easily be 5 star worthy. However, you begin to hit a wall as you keep playing more and the wall only becomes larger. The game gets very difficult very fast if you decide to blaze through it, and if you don’t have your characters enhanced to the correct level then at some points it becomes impossible to move forward. There is a lot of content that is locked until you reach certain parts of the story, but getting to these parts of the story takes a long time due to the difficulty (granted you aren’t doing anything except letting your units fight automatically). If you really want to get far in this game, you either have to devote a LOT of time to the game (for example, some dungeon categories only unlock if you get to a very high level OR it will automatically unlock after exactly 30 days) or you’re going to need to spend money on it. Luckily the microtransactions in this game are honestly pretty reasonable and better than a lot of other gacha games I play when it comes to value, but you need to make sure you know which ones to buy. Overall, I think this game is fun, but if you really want the full experience of the game then you’re going to have to spend either a lot of time or money on it. The art is really amazing and the gameplay is so simple yet doesn’t feel too boring. I have a lot of fun playing this game, but I just wish it were more F2P friendly. If you’re going to go into this game as F2P, then I wish you the best of luck in getting far because it’s definitely possible, but you’ll just have to use a lot of your time.
I used to play this app a lot (daily for over a year) but took a little break and sadly when I recently came back just like many other players have reported I can’t access my old account anymore it’s now prompting me to login (which wasn’t a thing when I last played it was tied solely to your Apple ID even when I played it for the very first time that was never a thing at most you could link it to your social media accounts there wasn’t even an option to make an account) and despite having the same Apple ID/social media accounts on top of doing everything else I can think of nothing is working. Not gonna lie i’m really bummed because I was a high level, had so many maxed out characters, spent some money, spent a lot of time/effort, had a lot of in game resources saved up, and more importantly lost Lori Moe (the most OP character and my favorite who was a limited release collab meaning she’s no longer available and you can’t get her anymore). The game itself tho is really fun minus a couple of minor issues that are pretty standard to these types of apps but knowing that your account can be lost at any time ruins it and odds are pretty high I won’t ever play it again not unless they give us our old accounts back or make up for that mistake in new accounts- so if you’re a new player play and spend at your own risk 🤷🏻♀️
This game has the potential to be great. It is a 5 star game waiting to happen, but it is impossible to enjoy without a fat wallet. The art is phenomenal and the combat system/character skills are unique enough to stand out in a market flooded with idle games, but the content creators clearly want to establish an unscalable pay wall without serious cash early in the game. I have been playing for about three weeks and the first two weeks were very enjoyable. The rookie rewards were sizeable and enabled me to build a diverse roster and progress through all modes of the game. But now the grind is already enormous, at last 3-4x what is normal for these types of games. The opportunities to get materials for hero pulls are very small so the pulls are few and far between with rates not proportional to the scarcity. The last week has turned into the same four tedious tasks and no ability to progress without either amounts of money in the hundreds or 3-4 more weeks of monotonous gameplay with minuscule progress. And I’m still at the lower levels, so this will increase exponentially the further you go. This is an extremely easy pass for any free-to-play players, and still a decently easy pass for anyone not looking to be a whale. There’s are dozens of other idle options with satisfying game play that won’t break the bank like this one.
TLDR: Cash grab. There are fun aspects to the game, but I would never support devs monetarily who would try to trick you into spending resources. I’ve played a large number of gatcha games, but this is the first review I have written. I’m fine with these games making their money, people can spend on what they like. But a game should incentivize spending through their content, not trickery. It’s the standard gatcha recipe, however, the devs have done a few really scummy things here: They constantly try to trick you into spending your gems. Granted, I know this is avoidable if you’re paying attention, but I have spent gems a few times by accident on things I didn’t want because they mark them as things you should collect. So if you’re quickly going through and collecting quest rewards etc. you can easily go too fast and buy something. This is easily corrected with a “are you sure” type message when spending gems, but they likely do it on purpose. They also do this with real money packages, thankfully Apple asks before completing the purchase. Scummy. (Also, if they discount a banner, and you do a 10x, the discount doesn’t carry if you instinctively hit the button to do another 10x without exiting. In other words, if the banner costs 5 tickets for what would normally be 10, it’ll still charge 10 unless you exit out to the banner page again. Discounts are great, and free summons are always appreciated, but don’t screw people out of them. I don’t know if this is a glitch or again, if they’re just tricking you, but it’s not acceptable.) FIXED Lastly, for anyone who cares, there really isn’t any form of story happening (I’m 11 chapters in). Which makes it feel even more like a cash grab. I’ll change my rating if they fix these glaring issues.
Warning: This game crashes all the time, just as previous reviewers have stated. Been playing for well over a year now hoping devs fix the coding, but the issue continues to persist. I’ve had crash issues with other games, but this game is by far the worst. Given that the issue is years old, it’s likely devs will never be able to fix it. Btw, I use an Apple iPad, so it’s possible other devices will be fine. I continue to play because I like the animation and visual flair of the huntresses. Gameplay is easy with no skill required. There used to be some interesting strategy with lineups, but the game has really jumped the shark and now has zero strategy. But again, you play this for the animation, as there is no need for skill. Devs release a batch of new huntresses regularly that always are far superior to the past release, so if you purchase the new huntresses, you’ll be competitive. That’s it, that’s the core of the game. Focus on the new huntresses only if you want to win. But if you don’t want to spend money, you can still grind it out over time and pick up the huntresses you like and play for fun for maybe 2 to 3 minutes on average before the game crashes again and again and again… you get the picture.
