As a super fan of HLT, the wait for HL seemed like forever but was well worth it. The attention and effort paid to the minutia of little physics details makes for a game that surpasses what one would reasonably expect for an 8-bit basketball game. Having read other reviews, I must say that I’ve been fortunate enough to not encounter any of the bugs others claim to experience. There are some aspects of the franchise mode that are still missing, but I’m either aware or just placing my well deserved faith in Koality’s further development of the game to add them down the line. We know trades will be added soon, which is pretty much requisite for a full fledged league mode. Absolutely NEED and hope for the addition of a simple HOF line in HLT if not something statistically more elaborate. A big specific for me with switching my legacy league over to HL would be the transfer and inclusion of our HOF from HL, which would include individual accomplishments already on the resume of current and soon to be retiring players. For example, I have a player from my legacy league soon to retire, but on the cusp of setting a new record with his 7th championship. I really hope those sorts of statistical details can be incorporated and not lost. My only complaint really, would be that the CPU offense is very basic quite often with little to no ball movement and no attempt to make obvious passes to open teammates. Otherwise… excellent so far and can’t wait for more!

Annoying Thing Happening

This game is basically the only game I play on my phone and it’s really like NBA2k but in retro which makes it better. But something happens in the game that is very annoying. So basically this has been going on for a long time but I didn’t report it, but now, I have enough. This annoying thing logs you out of the game, Idk if it’s just my phone or the game but I really think it’s just the game. When it logs you out of the game, it erases the things u JUST did in the game, like for example, right now, it didn’t erase the things I did for the player info, but it didn’t erase to the appearance because I was working on the appearance of the player and THEN it kicked me out of the game. Can you please fix that. And also there’s another annoying thing. It always happens in the skills. After I put the skill in and put the level. When I press the level, it does nothing. But AFTER I refresh the game and join back in it, IT WORKS! And I’m tired of doing that. So yeah, those are the only 2 problems that are annoying in the game. Anyways, this game is very fun and NBA2k like. But I think there should be another cool update like the hair and facial hair update. I think you should add a blacktop for us to play 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. I think that will make the game much more better. Anyways that’s it, I hope ya’ll put these updates I asked for. I would like to sincerely express my gratitude for the diligent effort invested in the development of this game. Considerable thought and effort have been dedicated to its creation. Nevertheless, I have observed that career mode occasionally appears somewhat too facile. For instance, witnessing scores such as 76 to 156 against the CPU can be disheartening, as it diminishes the competitive spirit that we all cherish. The inconsistency observed is also perplexing; in certain matches, the CPU performs admirably, while in others, it exhibits notable struggles. Furthermore, the shot meter can become a source of frustration. There are instances when it indicates a "good shot," yet the ball fails to reach the target, which can be discouraging. Despite these issues, I genuinely believe that the game possesses remarkable potential and remains highly enjoyable. Additionally, I suggest the inclusion of player names on the back of jerseys and the incorporation of the team name from their city on the front, which would be a splendid enhancement. A display featuring both the player's name and jersey number could further elevate the overall experience. Thank you for considering this feedback. Moreover, I kindly request the addition of a baseball feature to the next version of the game.

Hello I would like to share updates that would make this game more better the 1st is the crowd in the game all of the people in the crowd have the same hair style for the ladies and the boys and also they are all sitting in the same position like nothing has happened in the past game so what you might need to do is maybe put more movement into the crowd so we players can at least play it more realistically like the people should be walking to there seats and people recording and standing up and cheering because right now the people in the crowd is just sitting there in one position. Another update that I would like to be done is how in the world does the players get to the away game? Like yea your probably like “it’s a simulated game” but you should add like a feature of the players on the plane getting to the away game destination and in the fashion tunnel where they get to walk and show the players getting ready in the locker rooms and stuff. Another update that should be done is the players celebrations also when a player hits a game winner in a game the players just put there hands up and down that’s not showing enough gratitude of winning the game the players should be running to the player who shot the game winner instead of them putting there hands up that’s all I have to say. I really love this game please make these your updates thank you.

Game is cool but is has game control flaws

Very unique and fun game but when I play I am constantly reminded of the games flaws, things like the player your controlling being unable to grab lose balls/rebounds that are inches in front of him, the fact that when you block a shot the other team (ai) gets to just pass it under the hoop for a near 99% free layup that you can't stop (it's like if I block a shot I give up a free 2pts?!? Makes no sense) and then on top of this is there is very little / no customization of the in-game action controls. Things like a way you can customize button controls and sizes etc would be very helpful because the way it's stricter by default makes mistakes prone. Another fix that should be made is some sort of auto rebound magnetism type mechanic that goes to onto the player you control when you are in a situation where the ball is available --- to many times have I had the ball just roll in front of my player and I am helplessly trying to grab it and I am unable. They also need to fix the opponent pass in mechanics, make it more fair and have it not be as quick. Another thing: season modes feel completely rigged, it feels like the game made the decision on the winner and is gojng to force it to happen no matter what, players who ar open will green shots standing still and none will go in, mean while on the opposing end of the court the ai players will shot crazy contested poor shot quality 3s and they will all land. This completely ruining the entire premise of a competitive game feel.

The game is literally the best basketball mobile game I ever played in my entire life only reason why those three stars aren’t five, due to the fact y’all just release the greatest beta updated I been waiting for every since y’all let it be known it was coming with the next update. That’s the mycareer update I won’t lie I had zero expectations going into the mycareer game mode due to it being an mobile game didn’t expect anything good or exciting was worth while regarding it. Once I played and seen we can play in high school, which I am slightly disappointed we only get to play one high school game I understand to speed the process up to get drafted especially since y’all allow us to play a full college season not sure if it’s multiple but I’ll love to have the option to have more high school game. Currently their a glitch going on maybe it just for me but I try every method I can think of to fix it nothing works, I even started over twice and still ran into the same issue but as soon as I get to my first college game and we get an dead ball the ref glitch’s and never inbound the game and their nothing I can do about but sim the game. Even sim the game doesn’t work cause the following game I play nothing else works and it’s extremely frustrating and I would love for it to be fix immediately cause I invested money in y’all game and I wanna play badly!

You see this game is not like any ordinary mobile basketball game. You can have your own career mode your franchise mode. If you buy premium, you can get even more modes. The reason why so much is because the creativity and the different types of style it has not being you can only play one thing, if I had to choose, which one would be my favorite I would choose career mode. It has amazing storylines where you can pick your own college. It may not be the same college that you wanted to be, but at least they have a college to go to college next thing is if you buy premium, you get more things to the game, like you can make your own team, you can build your own character. I mean, you can build your own character. You can have him in your own roster for the NBA team that you want to have. You can also look in the Discord when you look into the Discord, you can choose customize builds so you can get your build up to which one you want you could, make your own team/rosters for like the NBA or like actual colleges for the premium though the bad side of it is cost $4.99 which it shouldn’t be a problem if you want premium pack so badly love this game keep doing what you’re doing and great game

This game is captivating, the amount of customization you can do is endless. Simulation is also very good. I recommend premium because the ability to edit teams is incredible. If you don’t want premium the amount of things you can do in the game is a lot. When I first got the game 2 and a half years ago I didn’t have premium yet I couldn’t get off the game because I was trying to rebuild the Sam Diego Surf into a contender, building around Ricardo Buzzoni. I remember I stayed up the whole night. Probably not the best thing I could’ve done but you get the idea. I decided to purchase premium so I could customize and use commissioner mode as much as I wanted, and I was blown away. Mind you, there were no coaches, career mode, all star game or not even a lot of hair styles. Now this game has all of that. It’s quality as well, I’m really impressed how much updates a solo dev can add to a game. He really puts Retro Bowls team to shame. The Game now has 160+ hairstyles, Career Mode, Commissioner Mode, Franchise Mode, Exhibition Mode, In-depth customization with Refs, Basketball Colors, Courts logos etc. I highly recommend you download this game and get premium. Usually I don’t pay for mobile games but this one really stood out to me.
