This plays incredibly smoothly to on devices. The controls were laid out very thoughtfully. The newly added modern features like instinct mode and a minimap work seamlessly and are great for letting new plays get adjusted to this game. However I have few minor gripes. One of the most irritating being the reload weapon ui cannot be disabled, which is a bright yellow box that flashes near the center of the screen. The simplified controls means that human shields are not as robust as the original versions of this game. When a person is running away it’s nearly impossible for the tap to take human shield to register, leading to frustration. (It’s also finicky for a kill with a fibre wire from behind to register.) Also when a human shield is taken the feature to push the person has been completely removed. This is an absolute shame and this feature has been missed by me. It’s useful to allow the player to bring a human shield close to a ledge so they can be pushed off. But as of now the only option the game gives you is to knock the person out. But all in all, this game is a masterpiece and this modern port has been done very well.
Feral is my favorite developer, I pre-order everything they make and they’re the best games in the App Store. Unfortunately, Hitman just wasn’t ready for release. When it works, it’s a blast, but there are some fatal bugs in it. First, when you press the button to attack with the wire, it only works about 25% of the time. Most of the time, I carefully stall my target, get behind him, the fist button turns to the wire attack, and I press it.. and my character just crouches. I let the button go, he gets back up, I press it again, he crouches again. By this time, my target knows I’m there, so I have to resort to the pistol. The second, much more serious problem is that you cannot complete the first mission. I kill my target, and the screw says “get outside.” So I get outside, nothing. I wander around outside, it still says “get outside.” I get back to the boat, it still says “get outside.” I’ve gone all over the amusement park and the pier, and all it tells me is “get outside.” So, the first mission was fun, but that’s all there is. Hopefully, Feral will fix this soon. As for now, Hitman just wasn’t ready for release.
One of my favorites from my childhood and it’s still super fun. The controls with touchscreen are just okay. One big issue though. . . The game does crash on me pretty often. I have the iphone 14 Pro with the latest IOS update too. Luckily the missions aren’t too long and I find fun in just finding different ways to complete each mission. So it hasn’t ruined my experience completely. But it would be nice for players to not have to experience this at all.
This is still one of my favorites games that I play. The amazing maps and different weapon choices, the simple and difficult levels. This game isn’t the biggest upside it reveals how games that were considered console only games are now becoming mobile games with the same top notch quality as their original console versions. I can’t wait until another Hitman game is recreated and uploaded as a mobile game. This is the next generation of mobile gaming. 9/10 (sometimes crashes but they fix it rather quickly)
Hitman Blood Money returns in this iOS rerelease! This is an awesome mobile port of the cult classic Hitman game from 2006. This version fixes several of the issues from the origin such as the ability to keep your in-level saves after exiting the game. The game works well with touch controls however I still strongly recommend a controller to play this. Whether you are an experienced Hitman fan or this is your first glimpse into this awesome franchise, you will be impressed with this iOS release of a timeless classic! Strongly recommended!
Wow. I bought this hours before release, and have to say I am incredibly impressed with it. Played through the first mission, no hiccups, no problems. And I’ll say this…it performs AND looks…better than the console variant. Granted on a smaller screen, but still, remarkable. This has always been one of my favorite Hitman games, and to have it in the my phone, couldn’t be better. If you’re looking for a Grade A game without all the stupid gimmicks, this is a must!!! Well done Feral Interactive!!
This is a fantastic port to mobile for a fantastic series. Hitman has always been about replaying levels over and over trying to get the best outcome, and this mobile port really makes it shine. I’ve found myself popping out my phone to replay a mission just to try out a different tactic many times since I’ve bought this. The touch controls do the game justice, but it’s even better with a controller. I’d like to see more Hitman ports to mobile.
Rewriting my review after seeing how the developers fixed the crashing issues, now it runs like a dream! Great way to play a classic, especially with the controller, although touch controls are really decent for this title (unlike other iOS games). They did a fantastic job carrying over everything great about the original so if you are a fan of 47, this is the definitive mobile experience.
