GTA III – The Definitive Edition on mobile is a technical marvel that finally does justice to the game that changed open-world gaming forever. This isn't a simple port; it features significantly improved lighting, high-resolution textures, and modern 'GTA V-style' controls that make the game feel surprisingly contemporary. Maneuvering through the rain-slicked streets of Liberty City has never looked or felt this good.
The nostalgia hit is powerful, but the quality-of-life improvements—like the mini-map GPS and the improved weapon wheel—make it genuinely playable for a modern audience who might find the original release too clunky. The performance is rock-solid on modern iOS hardware, maintaining a smooth framerate even during the most chaotic six-star police chases. It is the absolute definitive way to experience Claude's rise through the criminal underworld. A masterpiece of porting that belongs on every gamer's phone.

Back in the day, You needed a whole Playstation 2 and plugged into the wall to enjoy a game like this!! Rockstar should continue to release more games onto iphone! Big market of people on here as well as consoles!!
Decent, but room for improvements
Fri Jan 19 2024 tanrohan- The Definitive Edition trilogy should bring over the trophies/achievements from other consoles to Game Center on iOS/iPadOS. I would really like to see Game Center integration, and it would motivate me to reach 100% game completion. - I miss having iCloud Save options from the Anniversary editions. I wonder why Definitive Editions don’t have it?! - I’m shocked that the game doesn’t run at 120fps on my M1 iPad Pro with 16GB of memory. Plus, there are occasional graphic glitches & stutters. I know that the device is more than capable of running the game, but this port needs to be ironed out and take full advantage of the hardware.
