This game is a card game that I suggest you try it out. The amount of replay ability and variety of different decks to create is beyond I can imagine. Now that being said, there is always problems; $. I see why people are complaining that to be able to play and make these wild, crazy, and fun decks, you have to spend money. Card packs in this game don’t come often unless you buy them, and a pack is always not gonna give you something your gonna end up using. I get that it seems like a cash grab, but honestly, I just don’t see a problem here. I know that maybe blizzard is probably trying to reel in some cash, but I’ve never spent anything with real money, and I honestly still like the game. Sure getting the gold to buy a pack, and opening to realize it’s not much useful, can be in itself, feel like you wasted some matches to get nothing, but even then, I built my decks pretty fast, and although i get a new addition to it once every 5 openings or so, I don’t mind having to grind to it. It’s just that there’s so many things to do in this game, I hardly ever get bored when it comes to using the same cards, but maybe that’s just me. Also please stop complaining about the bugs. Every time there is a bug it ends up getting patched. You really just need some patience and that is all. In the end, try this game out, give it a day or two, and if you feel like you wanna play some more, go ahead.

Over the years I’ve recognized a passion within myself for this game I love the strategy the challenges and the different stories that go along with it the developers have done a great job keeping the game different over the years so it never feels monotonous. You don’t have to pay anything to actually get ahead in this game within the ranking system for certain modes and you can still earn cards and decks and rewards without spending any money. The game offers a lot of different strategies techniques and there’s a huge online community always available to give you information to better your decks and strats. I have always love blizzard games and I’ve been a fan since the beginning keep on keeping on guys!! *****SIDE NOTE*****. anybody out there that gives the game less stars because of a bug or some type of network lag or application problem they experienced, lacks the understanding that technology requires tweaks, it’s something new, of course there will be an occasional issue, it happens on every platform and every game. Some people are able to recognize them and some cannot. My point here is that you lack patience for the develops that made the game. Give them a moment to see what is going on and to fix it. Blizzard has been an amazing company until the merger with Activision, however they still do a great job maintaining their games. This behavior alone, Blizzard has built their reputation off of.

Fun game; free play is possible

I used to play this game on desktop years ago, and I decided to download the mobile version a few months ago for nostalgia sake. They’ve made a lot of changes and additions to the game since I last played and it has truly made the game better than before. There are multiple game modes now to offer different speeds and experiences and I appreciate that variety. Ive also noticed that there is a reward system that is surprisingly generous (compared to some other games) and gives out a lot of loot, so I don’t feel forced to spend any money at all unless I really really want to. I quit playing years ago because I felt that I was being forced to pay money to enjoy a full game experience, but that issue is non existent now. I’ve saved up almost 4000 gold in just a month by completing challenges and games, and that can get me plenty of packs and other goodies. You don’t have to spend a dime on this game if you have the patience to save up currency and spend wisely; choose a handful of heroes you enjoy playing and disenchant cards from all other classes to help you craft the cards you want. I’m also impressed because when I first downloaded the game in March 2022, I noticed several bugs that were extremely frustrating and made me consider dropping the game again. In the next update, all the bugs I hated were fixed and the user experience improved dramatically. I don’t have a complaint with this game anymore. I love how the game has improved over the years and I love that this mobile app is being actively maintained.

I have been playing hearthstone since the day of its release. I really enjoy playing card game passively in my free time, and this fits in to scratch that particular itch. I think this game is probably the most polished of any card game I’ve played wether mobile or not, blizzard does not skimp on quality here. With all of the updates and changes over the years with achievements and the addition of tavern brawl and the two other game modes, there isn’t a lack of content here. Most people will complain about the steep price hearthstone has, and yes it is true but honestly this game is truly free to play. Will it take you forever to get decent cards? Of course but with the free packs every week and special events that happen, If you play this game for fun and less for competition you’ll eventually get every card you’ll need. If you’re the type of person that looks at a free to play game and thinks, well if I don’t need to pay money I won’t then this game is perfect for you. It’ll take time for you develop a collection, but games are meant to be savored not consumed. If you are big into the competition seen, this game is expensive, but you are probably coming from another card game like magic the gathering or yugioh where you can easily spend that kind of money if not more to make a decent deck. Either way this is a fun game, give it a shot, the animations and voice acting are superb. This game is worth giving a shot.

Great game, people don’t understand how card games work

Okay, I’ve seen a lot of reviews of people saying this game is “pay to win” as someone who just recently spent 20$ to get 20 packs and got only about 3 cards that was worth something to me I can tell you it’s not. I’ve been playing since about 2017 and have gained most of my cards from just playing the game. The intro takes awhile and a lot of grinding against AI. Once you reach lvl 20 with all characters you will receive A HUGE amount of cards that will allow you to now progress even further into the game. That said this will take a while. But you will be learning the game mechanics and sharpening your skills for ranked play while doing this. A lot of reviews I see say this game comes down to “luck” and “no matter how much skill you have luck plays the biggest part”. THIS IS A CARD GAME!!! Anyone who has played monopoly, sorry, UNO for Christ sake will know all those games come down to luck as well. I came from playing Magic the gathering in real life. Where you have to spend hundreds of dollars for competitive play and get no chance to gain cards any other way. The thing about games like hearthstone and MTG is that you can finely tune your deck to have more than one win condition and out play your opponent by saving cards for the right time, and knowing what cards combo together. DONT LISTEN TO THESE TERRIBLE REVIEWS, PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND CARD GAMES THEY UNDERSTAND PHONE GAMES, DONT GIVE UP AND I PROMISE YOU THIS GAME WILL BE WORTH IT.

If you like card based games you will LOVE Hearthstone!

I have played hearthstone for over 6 years. It is by far the best FREE card game I have played, and I have played many! Many people complain about not getting cards or card packs to flesh out their playing decks. However all of you complaining must expect to get stuff for free or given to you. Blizzard gives away a card pack at least once a week, all you need to do is win in arena or the weekly brawl that changes each week. 1 win in either you get a free card pack. Look let’s face this head on Blizzard is a very large company that does a great job patching and creating fun content. They give Hearthstone away free, and hope that their fan base continues to pump money in to their company so they can continue doing what they are good at. That is creating and updating their games. If they stop earning enough to support their business, well not only Hearthstone is going away but many very successful and popular MMORPG games that blizzard also maintains and creates fresh new content often for. So play Hearthstone for free if you want you can still have a lot of fun with it. The only money I have spent is on their Battlegrounds pass which I play every day, and also on their story line content packs where you get lots of packs, and hero cards etc. In summary my opinion is give it a chance, if you like card games you will like hearthstone. Have fun!

Long lasting game

The game is great for most types of players. There is card collecting and building. There are solo game option, multiplayer, and one-on-one options. You can get into the new packs and systems, or stay with what you have. It IS NOT a pay to win game. Some of the player versus player setups are harder. You are playing against other players, where you actually have to think. There is some luck with card draw and skill with how you use your cards. You don’t need ALL the cards. Needing them all just means you are lazy or not interested in trying other ways to win. I buy an arena entry every now and then, but have spent less than $50 in the last several years. I have played since it started, and have a large collection, that gets made obsolete as more cards come out. I get new cards by winning packs in Arena and completing the free quests to get gold. Some of the other systems are fun for their deck building and strategy. If you complain about the need to spend money, then you are impatient or a bad player. Or just a complainer. I am a veteran and old school MTG player. This game is the same except you can’t trade your cards. You can burn a weighted number of cards to get more. You can buy packs for more variety. Of course the game wants you to spend some money. Otherwise why should they take time and energy to make a game for you to play. And if you complain about a game where you don’t contribute, why should the people in charge change it to make you happy. It’s not a socialist system. It is a capitalist system. Anyway, great game. Can’t stop. Play daily.

My favorite card game

First of all, I’ll start off by saying that I’ve spent no money on this and have managed to get to rank 10 simply by playing the game. You can go far in this without having to sit through a bunch of ads or be hassled about spending your life’s savings. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone give this game a try. Update in 2021: Looking forward to the next expansion, still doing well in ranked and looking forward to the next expansion and the new core set. Still haven’t spent any money, sorry Bliz but other than the latest mini-set I haven’t felt the value of any deals lately. I love the duels mode, however I have encountered a bit of a bug with some of the hero powers not unlocking but I posted on the blizzard support forums and am hopeful they’ll get back to me (if they haven’t already I haven’t checked, I’ll do it this evening). Battlegrounds is fun, arena is honestly just outdated at this point and you could probably just get rid of it for more duels support but other than that, still recommend the game to anyone new or old. And blizzard may be fumbling a bit, but they’re trying, will update when the first year of the gryphon expansion rolls around. Update 2022: Battle pass doesn’t seem too bad, and it’s at a decent price for how long it’d be active, however, at this point I feel obligated to stay free to play as long as possible. Made it to diamond 3 so far and the season isn’t over yet, hoping to hit legend this or next month. Mercenaries is pointless and is honestly whatever, but other than that the game is in a decent state. We’ll see if Microsoft manages to ruin that.
