Exactly what we wanted but still missing features
Tue Jul 22 2025 Skilled FNF Veteran

This is a phenomenal port of a former strictly PC based game, which is impressive knowing you guys build this from the ground up. I have yet to get the “story mode” or “credits” buttons to work, and some buttons in the settings like “downscroll” are not interactive whatsoever. As much as I would’ve wanted a version of the game that doesn’t rely on a PC porting engine, I’m happy that we get to keep the original feel of the PC game. I think that in time, this game will finally run properly for iOS devices, and hopefully, we get some new CONTENT updates down the line that make this port really shine. Please add upscroll though, as that’s what I’m used to. I’ve played Roblox ports of FNF with big rectangles on the screen corresponding to each arrow, and it gave me a LOT more flexibility than the tiny and strictly downscroll arrows on this official port. In general, this is flawless in transferring the original gameplay into the mobile sphere, but it could use some flashing out of its base features and some additional gameplay options like rectangles that take up the full screen and upscroll. Thanks for making my dream come true, I’ve been waiting for a version of vanilla FNF that I can install from the App Store that runs like butter for years. (Just thought of this, one day FNF should implement a mod portal into their game, that would be sick)

Everything I ever wanted out of a mobile port for this game!
Wed Sep 17 2025 Epic_Ethan#3564

As someone who’s been keeping up with the game ever since Week 5’s release, I absolutely LOVE Funkin’, so when I found out it was getting a mobile port I was absolutely over the moon. Since the Weekend 1 update I’ve been really attached to FNF, and it’s great to see it back with so much new stuff after a 3 year hiatus. With the addition of Erect remixes, Character mixes, and of course the built-in mod support, there’s just so much new potential for this game that I was NOT prepared to see. Anyway, as far as the mobile port goes, it’s awesome, even though it’s considerably tougher to play. The strumline placement is perfect, and it’s clear that the people that worked on this had thumbs in mind when placing it. Everything looks great, and I love how the screen is widened to fully fit on your phone screen instead of the 16:9 ratio of the PC version, it makes it feel more immersive. Songs are really fun to play when you get used to the controls, and it’s a lot of fun just replaying songs to go for higher scores or Perfect ranks. On that note, the haptic rumbles are a cute little detail, and are also pretty funny, mainly with the Perfect animation. Overall, a pretty much flawless port of the iconic funny beep boop rap battle game to mobile devices. Definitely a must-download for anyone who loves Friday Night Funkin’.

Best free rythm game on mobile just needs work
Sat Sep 27 2025 Ditdzy

I really do feel like this should be a five star review I just hope by giving it four stars to standout as a vocal minority. I would strongly argue that this is the best free rhythm game on mobile and I absolutely love it. I fully understand its still in development so im sure the devs have their own roadmap. However I believe the only thing I think it’s lacking is a leaderboard system or possibly maps locked behind skill wall. Without it the average player lacks the incentive to pursue excellent on levels and I feel is detrimental to the player’s progression throughout the game. Also this is a hot take but nightmare should be hard, misses should feel punishing I don’t feel like you should be able to pass a nightmare level sub 60%. You can miss entire sections and as long as you hit a few notes at the end you can live; the life meter could be just a bit more punishing in night difficulty. Nonetheless I love this game for its style, community, and the deva non monotonous approach to the genre plagued with micro transactions. Its really nice that you guys sell real tangible merch products instead of digital items. Im no developer or marketing executive but I do play a fair amount of these games; you guys could definitely charge a few more bucks to remove ads from the game; you guys definitely deserve it.

THIS IS THE BEST MUSIC GAME EVER

I’m so glad this made its way down to mobile. This is a very, very good game, but the buttons are very very Hard to press when you have nails but at the same time any button you press with nails is the hardest time in the world, but this game is really good overall it has all of the gameplay it would have in the pc version has all the updates the free play amazing I recommend playing free play instead of story mode, but either one is really nice. There’s also barely any ads but if you want to upgrade it so you don’t get them that’s fine cause it’s really really cheap It’s like two or one dollar probably three if you’re paying on Apple, I did buy it and it cost me three dollars on Apple so I would say cost around two dollars. Overall, this game is very very fun. You should definitely try this if you don’t have a PC or a computer because I watch people play this for so long and I don’t have a computer or a PC so when they released it on mobile, I was really really happy. Also this app is released by the actual people who made fnf not some random person who’s trying to make the game so it’s totally real nothing’s wrong about it. I haven’t got any bugs yet I will update this if I do, but overall it’s a really amazing game. You should definitely try it!🤩🥳

Amazing Port, Wonderful Game
Tue Jul 29 2025 DanceDanceRevolt

As a fan of the game for nearly 5 years now, the coolest rhythm game ever is now on mobile, and it’s better than ever in my opinion. The controls are amazingly translated over! By holding my phone with my hands and using my thumbs, the game feels really comfortable to play. I especially appreciate being able to slide from one note to the other. While it doesn’t seem very useful, a tip for less seasoned players is to slide from one note to the other very quickly when doubles come up! It helps keep the flow and makes it really fun to play where it otherwise might be unfair. Everything else about the game is just perfect! The style is just as pleasing to look at, and perfectly carried over. The convenience of being able to play this massive amount of content on the most easily accessible platform is perfect when I have some time to pull out my phone and try to get a P-Rank. And the ability to add modded content through the files is the cherry on top!! While it isn’t perfect yet, I’d argue this version of Funkin’ is the most polished yet, thanks of course to the talented mobile team who made this whole thing possible! Great work to the team, and I couldn’t be any more excited for the future of the game.

2hot is not possible on hard mode
Fri Jul 25 2025 4thDimensionalTopHat

So the game is good I love it as much as I did when I first played it on my laptop in like 2020 but 2hot is just so dumb on hard mode. Now I’m willing to say it could be a skill issue to some degree but I swear the double notes will not work sometimes like they’ll miss even if I hit them perfectly. Also the bar at the top (the one with the charters faces on it that kills too if it gets all the way in the enemys favor) will not go back down even if I hit a bunch of notes in a row this could be a problem on other songs to and I didn’t notice it but either way that’s apart of the problem. Now I wouldn’t make this review saying this and would just say “yeah it’s a me problem” if it wasn’t for the end of the song. I can’t describe it but anyone reading this go check for yourself and you’ll get what I mean. But no player with 2 thumbs would be able to hit all of those and you could say “just use your fingers” but 1, that’s a very uncomfortable way to hold my phone and 2 that’s not something I should have to do that’s like forcing a computer player who’s been using the arrow keys to suddenly use the ASWD keys. It’s muscle memory I don’t have built up and would be very difficult to not only undo the musical memory I have for my thumb but also build up for my fingers. Overall that song needs a nerf at the very least at the end of it.

The Greatest Rhythm Game Ever!!!
Fri Aug 29 2025 DarkMaster420

This game has given me everything I ever wanted and what the mobile games CAN be for the future for small developers team of creating mobile games. The Weeks are astonishing, with memorable music, sharp characters design, and a nostalgia of PlayStation 1 vibe. The games is still in development, which I hate to take one star off because there’s still bugs that are in the game and theirs audio issues that weren’t part of the original release. But the gameplay itself is solid and I like how the made the notes separate, but I kind of wish they can make it a little bigger because when playing on the table, I was in the tight spot with my long fingers and kind of hope they have their customization of where would you put notes at. If you want it separate to each other, then you can separate on two notes on the far left and two notes on the far right just to have more space. But it’s not only that options, just part of the example of customization of the notes. P.S This game is still amazing and I’m still excited to see more updates coming around in the future.

Best Friday night Funkin mobile game I’ve ever played
Sat Nov 15 2025 Hrudndn

This game is overall the best out of every other Friday night Funkin mobile right off the bat right loading up the game. It has the best gameplay out of every single Friday night Funkin mobile game I’ve ever played the arrows are kinda hard to press. Overall The game is pretty good. I did see some review saying you can download mods. But I haven’t figured that out yet and none of the reviews. Tell me how to. I think you might have to make it a little bit easier to find out how to download mods. And the scrolling is kind of weird it goes up then it goes straight back down for some reason the other than those two problems the game is pretty much perfect. It’s perfectly based off the original game I didn’t find too many problems. I think this game is the best Friday night Funkin mobile game I’ve ever played but because of those two problems(mostly because I can’t find how to download mods not your fault by the way) I am giving this game 4 stars, but the game is pretty good if you ignore those two problems but yeah keep up the good work
