Fisherman Cards Game is a uniquely creative mashup of a card game and a fishing simulator. It uses a grid-based movement system where you play cards to navigate your boat, cast nets, and catch rare fish. It feels like a 'roguelike' fishing game, which is a genre I didn't know I needed.
The strategy involved in managing your hand while keeping an eye on your fuel and storage is surprisingly deep. Each 'run' out to sea feels different based on the cards you draw. The art style is clean and charming, and the sense of discovery when you hook a legendary sea creature is fantastic. It’s a great choice for players who want a puzzle-like card game that isn't just another Poker or Solitaire clone.
Innovative card-based gameplay
Hundreds of fish species to collect
Strategic resource and deck management
Relaxing yet challenging puzzle levels
Keep a balance of 'Movement' and 'Catching' cards. If you have too many nets but no way to move to the fish, you'll run out of turns.
Always keep an eye on your boat's capacity. If you catch too many small fish, you won't have room for the high-value rare ones later in the level.
The game features a campaign with multiple regions to conquer, plus an endless mode for high scores.
This game is gorgeous. Everything about it is so well done. The design is perfect, the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the gameplay is clever and fun. I love a good card battle game that has some depth but isn’t overly complicated, yet still challenging. This strikes the right balance. I love also that the price is fair with no ads or IAP. We need more developers like this. This is the way to make and monetize a game. I hope it is really successful, it deserves the success. I would keep it like it is, I wouldn’t change anything major. And the various modes are a huge plus too. I look forward to playing this more and more. Thank you for a great game. I also have your game Cast, which is also good, but I think this sea fisherman game is going to be my favorite of all my iPhone card games. Thank you!
Fisherman has an excellent game structure and the presentation is top notch. My only real issue is that the progress feels unbalanced. The game requires a lot of grinding and the grinding becomes repetitive. Good luck on beating the third level even after you have played a hundred games. It’s too bad that the progress requires so much grinding because there appears to be a lot more content to explore. After having played dozens of games, I’ve only managed to unlock three additional cards, one of which had no affect on the game and basically just gave me one additional coin per game. I thought that since the card (that I can’t find a description for) was in the special card section, it would do more than just be a different skin for a life preserver worth one coin. I’d get my hard earned 100 coins back if I could. The only other thing I’d prefer to be changed is that some of the cards could have more of an affect to them, but I also understand why the game would be kept simple. There is a lot to love about it. Thank you all for making it.
I’ve been playing this for a week, and so far, it’s a keeper. Hard enough to keep you challenged, and easy enough (as you level up) to be mindless fun. The leveling is paced really well (slowly) to help you learn the nuances of the game before conquering all the levels and getting bored. The artwork and sounds are great, and I love that there are no ads. This is a winner.
Ciro has created a very fun game with tons of replayability. The deck building keeps things super fresh just like all the fish you catch. Each sea gets more challenging as you progress and the decisions get more and more dangerous and exciting. Dive deep into this one and you won’t regret it! It’s totally worth the buy. Sail those seas if you dare!
It's clear that this is a work of love by the developer. Interesting art style, good game design, no micro-transactions, very fun to play. However, after a few hours of playing, once the best cards are unlocked, the game becomes too easy (even on the highest difficulties, Kraken & Random Sea). It's such a fun game, but please, make it harder! With the endgame deck, I can play those levels with my eyes half-closed and still win 90% of the time.
I'm enjoying this game very much. It's an honor to be with this application! But I bought a blacksmith and I don't know how to use it. Should we just use it to exchange it for money?
I like the art work, the music, and the witty names. But it is impossible to clear the third level without the good items. Even if you are very lucky and good at strategy games, you cannot clear the level. To buy the good items, you have to keep repeating the level 1 or 2 almost 100 times. I got bored soon.
I can’t pass the carnivorous algae sea. I feel like there’s way too many dog plants and I just lose every time. Maybe I just don’t have the right stuff but I don’t really know.
