Good implementation and fun to play. AI is good. Two fixes: 1) When taking a Destroying Angel, you can run into the situation where you’re not able to play anything. The app currently just gets stuck. The rules book says that if you can’t do anything because of a Destroying Angel, then your turn is skipped and your opponent gets his next turn. 2) On my iPad, I can’t see the names of the cards because of the white line at the bottom of the device.

Morels is a fantastic card game that is so enjoyable! Everything about the game feels laid back and relaxing, but it also has depth and complexity for anyone seeking a challenge. The games are not long, which is great because you can always find time to play, and you keep getting better because you improve a little every game. The art, music and sound is also wonderfully done. I’ll never get tired of how satisfying it sounds to sell, grab and cook the mushrooms. Things to improve iPad Pro bar - The iPad Pro home screen bar covers the names of the cards in your hand. This is annoying and it would be great to see an update that fixes this. If this were fixed I would give it five stars!

Great app of a great game

This was already a great game, and it’s nice to be able to play it whenever I want, even if my wife isn’t in the mood to play. The artwork is beautiful and the game play is just as intriguing as the original. The AI is decent, but I would recommend playing on the hard setting for anyone who is experienced playing the tabletop version. I have met the designer and his lovely wife, and they are extremely nice people. I’m very glad to see that they are having continued support and success with this well designed and enjoyable game!

Great Adaptation of Morels

This is a great adaptation of the Morels card game, which I love. The art is beautiful (same as the card game) and the design is a fun riff on the outdoorsy theme. Game play is smooth. The in-app rulebook is nice to remind yourself what a particular card does, though the tutorial does a good job of explaining the game play. So far I’ve played local games and the hard AI difficulty offers a nice challenge or someone like me, who’s familiar with the tabletop version. I’m excited to try the online play!

We have had the card game for years now and it’s great having a mobile version as well. I’m really disappointed at how many game breaking issues there are though. A lot of the foray cards don’t actually work, for example: Using, I chose 4 cards of the same cool value (two different types of mushroom) and the game highlights them, but I’m unable to cook them. There are a number of similar issues I keep running into and it’s ruining the game for me. PLEASE fix this!! It’s been 4 years since the last update and there is clearly some work to do!

I always heard of the card game but never got around to buying it. This is an affordable way to play the game and it works very well. The AI is pretty relentless, I only beat it once on Medium so far. Even better than facing AI is human opponents and the online play is awesome, it supports asynchronous and real-time play. I haven’t experienced any crashes or issues so far and I’m having a great time. It makes me want to purchase the physical game and the expansion now. Great work!!!

Easy to learn, re-playability & FUN!

This is an easy to play game, with pretty artwork and relaxing music. There is a ton of re-playability, an expansion for only $2 (unnecessary in my opinion) and it runs without a single glitch after HOURS of play so far! There are easily accessible rules to reference if needed as you play, too. Great purchase, I just wish there were more games like this! Well done, thank you!

Love the game, but ...

This is a beautiful digital version of a great physical game, and everything about it is terrific, except that when you play online you have to exit the game and come back in to see your opponent’s move. I’m sure it’s an easy bug fix, and I’ll look forward to seeing this small issue resolved in an update.
