Bug fixes
Edge is a masterpiece of minimalist game design. I've spent hours navigating its neon-lit, cuboid world, and the sense of satisfaction from a perfectly timed roll never gets old. The game thrives on its simplicity: you are a cube, and you must move. But the way the environment shifts, drops, and transforms around you creates a platforming experience that feels constantly fresh and inventive.
The aesthetic is '80s-inspired retro-futurism at its best. The synchronization between the movement and the electronic soundtrack creates a rhythmic flow that almost feels like a dance. It’s a difficult game, especially when chasing 'S' ranks, but the controls are so precise that every failure feels like a learning moment rather than a frustration. For anyone who appreciates high-polish indie games, Edge is an essential download that demonstrates how a simple concept can reach near perfection.
Original minimalist 3D graphics
48 challenging levels
Dynamic 19-track electronic score
Universal app for iPhone and iPad
You can hang off the side of a block by holding the direction against the edge. This slows down time slightly and allows you to wait for moving platforms to align.
To get the highest rank, you must collect all prisms and finish the level in the shortest time possible. Use 'Turbo' mode to speed up your movement once you've memorized the layout.
Yes, completing the main levels unlocks the 'Edge Extended' levels and a special Turbo mode.
Hello, and I would like to say thank you for making this wonderful game because it introduced me to video games over 13 years ago (2008) and I have so many childhood memories of this game and the levels are so fun, and the music is probably one of the best game soundtracks because it’s so unique. I wish this game was better known because this game, even after 13 years of playing, is still fun. Ever since the sequel came out I always wanted a third edge game but it never came, so maybe if this gets suddenly popular y’all could make a new sequel? Just a suggestion.
Just wanted to leave a note that this was one of the first iOS games I ever played, when it was released in 2008. And it’s still available, and updated for modern devices. That is unusual; I can’t think of any other iOS app (game or otherwise) that can say this. I still love this game. It is just as fun and unique as it was back in 2008. Here’s to another 10 years on the App Store!
This game is a blast from the past! The puzzles are great, the soundtrack is good, the graphics are incredible for 2008, and the controls are decent! I love playing this game as it has a lot of care, passion, and love put in to it and is definitely a solid experience. I recommend giving this game a try. Thank you for this amazing experience, Mobigame!
Edge is one of the first games I ever bought from the App Store, and I'm pleased to see that it has never been abandoned by the developer. A really innovative idea well suited to, what was, a new touch based interface that has now stood the test of time. For people complaining about the controls: study a little about momentum...
I’ve been playing Edge and Edge Extended for years and they never get old. I really love to open them up now and then, especially with ear buds. Still a very well thought out , fun and interesting game after playing many, many times.
This developer deserves an award! I got this game when the App Store first released and played it on my 2G...and here we are nearly a decade later and an update comes through in my iPhone X! Just amazing!!! Still just as fun to play!
Been playing this one for yrs and the graphics are top notch. The controls are delayed though.
The controls are the thing that needs the most improvement. The swiping is atrocious. The button control is better but they are too close together. We all have these big screens so spread the controls out a bit. Otherwise a really neat concept. Fun.
Fourteen years ago, Tim Langdell became a pariah of the game industry, as he was branded a "trademark troll." He eventually won his case.
