Dealer's Life is a surprisingly deep simulation of the pawn shop business. It captures the tension of the 'negotiation' perfectly. Every customer that walks through the door is a gamble—are they telling the truth about that 'authentic' relic, or are they trying to scam you? The psychological aspect of reading their traits and deciding when to push for a lower price or when to walk away is incredibly engaging.

The game gets even better as you expand. Hiring staff to help identify items or repair broken goods adds a management layer that keeps the late-game from feeling stale. The procedurally generated items mean no two play-throughs are the same. It’s got a great sense of humor too, with plenty of pop-culture references in the items you buy and sell.
