Lost more than gained with recent update

This game is a lot of fun and one of the few merge games Ive continued to return to. Ive been playing this version before the most recent update and have some comments about certain choices the devs went with. Firstly, costume tickets are already difficult to obtain. Removing even the common costume tickets as a level 3 cat reward is restrictive to players in terms of enjoying an entire subset of gameplay through dressing your cats up. A lack of a replacement to obtain that ticket is dismaying with no information on whether or not tickets can still be obtained through leveling cats. Secondly, removing the purchasable special costume tickets in the shop with coins is even more dismaying. That had been the only consistent way for me to unlock certain limited costume pieces. If the issue is that there are not enough outfits, i would encourage devs to create more general stock outfits instead of robbing players from a hard to earn currency. It leads players to believe this is no longer a F2P friendly merger. If the devs read this, much of the rest of the update is great! However the “adjustments” made to other obtainable items is vague and unclear. Overall, im saddened by these decisions and hope the devs will reconsider adding more ways for players to obtain costume tickets. 4/5 for the noticeable decrease in enjoyment playing with this update and the changes it brought.

Super fun, for a bit

As much as I loveeee this game, it feels extremely pay-to-win heavy, especially after this last update. I completely get that developers need to make money. But it’s frustrating only getting 10 minutes of play time a day, because the ingredients you need are so rare that it takes so long to even get what you need to progress. On top of this, the events are impossible to complete without buying more energy with real life money. I will never get the large event award simply due to the fact that the event ingredients are worth so little experience, and it only gives me ingredients that are just like, impossible to get. I think this game just needs better optimization, and a better chance to do well without having to spend real life money. I am a huge critic of its new buddy call system. I didn’t know this would turn into a gacha game. The call system is incredibly inflated too, having to pull 115 times (each costing 50 gems) to even get SOMETHING that isn’t useless. I shouldn’t be spending 50 gems to get 100 coins or a singular auto merge that I will never use. Overall I hope this game can lean more into the game side that it had before this last update rather than a micro transaction scheme. I genuinely loved this game before this update.

FIX THE DROP RATE

I’ve literally used like at minimum 4000 dream energy for the goddam event and not a single nightmare has dropped, the drop rate for them is so LOW it’s actually mind boggling and it’s genuinely getting to the point of making me not wanting to continue playing this game if this is how all events are in the foreseeable future, like at this point fix the drop rate of the nightmare AND whale because i’ve seen tons and TONS of people complain about that too or remove them all together from the event (Because from the looks of it everyone’s list is always asking for nightmares and whales for 50% or more of the list and it’s putting us all in a standstill unable to progress AT ALL) or give us a SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT of dream energy because from the rate i’m seeing it’s going to take players 100K+ dream energy to get even ONE freaking nightmare/ whale drop. Y’all cannot say the drop rate isn’t cooked because the fairy wings and dragon eggs/shells are SIGNIFICANTLY easier to get and the same event rewards as the nightmare and whale YET ITS NEVER ON OUR LIST ALSO, I’ve seen plenty people complain about having too many fairy wings or dragon items but not getting them for their list whatsoever so that needs to be fixed ALSO. Like SERIOUSLY!!! Genuinely it’s making me not want to come back to this game whatsoever.

Love the events but

I love the events a lot but it’s hard to get the final prize (the starry cat) in this case but I’m am 200 points away from getting it but every single column of my quests are the dragon tails so I’m 2/3 through the last level so I decided to spend a few bucks for energy but the problem is I need the paper to make books for the dragon egg but I’ve spent 8 dollars and I’ve mostly gotten the feathers for the dream clouds and not the paper and I have all these rare items but not the paper to get the books and I know it takes time but it takes up to days to get just two full books just to make one dragon tail but all the columns were that I just think it shouldn’t be that hard to get one item because I’ve gotten on every day since the great event started but I was 200 points off from the cat b/c of the paper being out numbered by the feathers and lack of verity in my quests i love this game to death but I hate how my quests are the one thing I can’t get in time and it really wasted my money.

Same problem

I have the same problem as one of the other users of this app. I used to love this game and I still do, but after the newest update my game started glitching. The music in game is very weird and it sounds like there is a virus. That might just be my device, but the biggest problem is when I actually open the app. Just like the other users, a “growth fund” pops up when I open the app. No matter how many times I click the”x” it still doesn’t actually close. Now that I don’t have a mission that says “merge so and so items” I can’t access the game. I can only play the mini-games and can’t do anything else. It’s quite annoying and frustrating and I do hope you can fix this so can keep enjoying your game as well as everyone else. I do however have an idea that may “fix” the problem. If you complete the growth fund it may close and stop. However, I don’t know for sure because as I said, it’s not working for me. Please fix the problem ASAP.

Cute and Relaxing Game with no Ads

This is my favorite merge game. The gameplay is relaxing and it’s so satisfying to progress and build the treehouse, not to mention dressing up your cats. My two highest praises of this game are 1) there are plenty of ways to get energy and rewards through gameplay, so I rarely if ever feel pressured to buy packages to get the best experience, and 2) all ads are optional for rewards, so you don’t get interrupted every 5 taps. My one criticism is that the timed producers can lock you into a standstill. Some items can only be acquired by producers that won’t make anything until a lot of time has passed, so unless you want to spend gems or watch a LOT of ads, you’ll have to sit and wait for possibly hours before you can keep going, regardless of how much energy you have. That’s a pretty small gripe, though. Otherwise I can’t recommend this enough.

It’s really cute but

Im still miffed that I never got another opportunity to turn in a mandrake in the last event. I had two ready and if I had turned even one of them in then Im pretty sure I would have gotten the event cat. I definitely would have gotten it if I turned in both. I even had other items like the compact and the red and blue gems waiting to turn in too but it wasn’t often I was able to turn those in for points either. I definitely feel like we should have gotten more points for them being on the board after the event is over or for discarding them. Even 25-50% of the full value would be better than the measly 1-2 points you got depending on which item was discarded. Even the mandrake with a full value of 1000 was only like two points when discarded if I remember correctly. Also it’s not like I wasn’t active because I logged in like 2-3 times every day the whole event. I even logged in every 3 hours for the last 24ish hours including waking up during the night.

i LOVE this app, but it NEEDS a save feature

i absolutely cats and soups. it’s my favorite gaming app, so when i heard they were coming out with a merging game (cats and soups magic recipe) i went ahead and pre downloaded it. i love this game and app so so much - i play it every day since it was released. but yesterday my phone glitched and deleted some random apps without my knowledge - unfortunately this app was one of them. what’s even more unfortunate is that unlike cats and soups OG, cats and soups magic recipe is NOT connected to apple game center, so when the app was deleted i lost all the progress i made these past few weeks. i was actually devastated and so disheartened. i’m building my cats from the ground up and even spending money for more energy since i do still love this game and want to get back to where i was, but i BEG the developers please please have this app to have some saving feature because if i lose everything again i don’t know if i’ll ever open the app again
