Fairy Village is a cozy management sim that successfully captures the whimsical 'miniature world' aesthetic. It’s a perfect escape for anyone who loves the idea of building a tiny community in the woods. Unlike many aggressive management sims, Fairy Village moves at a gentle pace, focusing on the joy of decorating and the stories of the tiny inhabitants. The art style is soft and inviting, with a hand-drawn quality that makes your village feel like a scene from a children's book.
What kept me coming back was the 'Foraging' mechanic. Sending your fairies out into the wild to find tiny treasures like bottle caps or acorns to use as building materials is genuinely charming. It rewards creativity over high-speed clicking. While the progression is steady, it never feels like a stressful grind. It’s a warm, wholesome experience that is perfect for short sessions of digital gardening and decoration. If you're a fan of 'Animal Crossing' or 'Cats & Soup,' you'll find a lot to love in this tiny forest world.
Beautiful hand-drawn miniature world
Dozens of unique fairies to collect
Creative building and decoration
Relaxing, stress-free gameplay
To attract specific fairies, pay attention to the 'Decor Preferences' in your village book. Some fairies love 'Rustic' items made of wood, while others are attracted to 'Sparkly' items like crystals. Matching the decor to a fairy's style will make them move in much faster.
Send your fairies on 'Adventure Trips' to the garden or the creek. These trips take real-time, but they are the only way to get 'Ancient Artifacts' (like rusted spoons) which are used to build the most prestigious multi-story fairy mansions.
Yes, you can manage your village and forage for items without an internet connection.
first of all this game is so adorable!! i love the style and design of the houses and the little fairies- however i wish there was more to do. i’ve bought all the houses but i want more space to build! it’s fairly easy to earn coins and gems and all the ads are optional! there are barely any paywalls either. however, it can get boring pretty fast! i often find myself resetting all my houses and redecorating just so i have something to do. it’d be cool if it was ACTUALLY a village, like with different areas on a map to decorate. there could be a little town where you could decorate stores and maybe hotels/houses to assign to different fairies? i also wish that the item list while decorating was organized into more specific categories (instead of just floor and hanging items). it’s just sooo much to scroll through. there should be a tab for chairs, windows, posters, lamps, beds, etc. it’s also pretty buggy and VERY touch sensitive, i’ll scroll past an item and it’ll just automatically select and insert itself into the area i'm decorating. i also wish there was a way to assign relationships to the fairies (like siblings, partners, besties, etc). it’s so silly of me but the new “blow a kiss” feature is freaking me out bc in my head some of my fairies are sisters but then all of a sudden they’re blowing kisses at each other😭😭 TLDR: overall i love the game but wish that there was more to do and i wish there was more organization. i don’t plan on deleting any time soon though!🫶🫶🫶
Fairy Village is quite charming, and if you enjoy decorating games or games where you can make custom characters this is definitely for you. Progress is a little slow, expeditions can take 5 minutes, an hour, or 5 hours, depending on what map you are exploring on. (Maps have different themed items you can get from exploring them.) My advice would be to put on a show or video of your liking and watch ads to speed things up if you want fast progress. You can watch a 30 second ad and skip 5 hours of waiting. It’s great that there’s no limit to how many ads you can watch in a day, and I really hope it stays that way. I really enjoy how diverse the character customization and decorating is. It’s not just cutesy rainbows and pink, you can really make a ton of different aesthetics such as medieval, gothic, historical, etc as you progress in the game and get more maps. Now, onto my tips. Firstly, if watching ads is not your thing, these tips won’t help you lol. When you first get into the game go on lots of expeditions to get items, materials, gems and coins. When you go to start an expedition, you can view what the expedition has a chance of giving you. In this way you can aim for the themes you want. Once you’ve done that, head to the market and use your newly acquired coins and gems to buy items. The materials you get from expeditions are super helpful because they are needed to make more floors in your houses.
I know by the title I sound like a bot but I’m not a bot, this game has got me hooked, downloaded it yesterday and haven’t stopped playing since. Sure the hour long exploration map is annoying but worth it! You get tons of coins & gems just by doing it. No matter what map you’re on you can watch an ad or spend only 5 gems to skip the exploration time. But if you do that it doesn’t give you as much, you can rename your village as many times as you want with no time limit I’m-between, you can rename your fairies and craft your own decor (once you get the guy) you can also unlock a pet that can’t die but you have to pet it occasionally to keep its happiness up, you can change what it looks like and customize it by playing the tiny games with the pet so you can earn rewards to unlock more clothing for it, the market restocks every 50 minutes and you can collect (bugs) for rewards, for me it’s been about 6 bugs to collect each time but I don’t know if it changes yet, you can also change the hairstyle and skin color of your fairies and every real life day a fairy will want to move in so make sure to keep space open by building more space, each floor of your house is one fairy space and you can also decorate the roof & wallpaper of each room, plus the rooms decor. Coins and gems are easy to get and bugs give you different things when you collect them. And I don’t know if I already said this in the large paragraph but the game also doesn’t need WiFi but the ads won’t work if you don’t have it, the only ads you get or when you tap on something that says the word ad so this is an amazing game and overall love it.
The game is wonderful and I love the art style used to make this! But I do have a few things to mention: firstly, I’d like to have more to do. Yes this game is very fun but just sitting and waiting gets boring after a while and I don’t want this game to be boring and I delete it. Maybe add ways to play with other people? Let us choose shapes or designs of houses, like an underground house or a floating house. Let us explore or follow our fairies on expeditions, I think you could make so many fun mini games while they go find stuff! Maybe an adventure type thing or a spot the object type game. Anything goes as long as it’s something fun! One final bug I found however, when I went to customize my Thumblings, I clicked on one of my fairies and the screen slid down under the map and showed a white background with my Fairy just standing in the void. She was also standing next to one of my fairies currently on an expedition so I shouldn’t be able to see them. I think she somehow teleported under the map somehow since I didn’t select her to go on an expedition but I can’t find her in my village either so she might be stuck since I can’t scroll down the screen to find her. Other than that this game is wonderful! Can’t wait for the rest of the updates to be finished! Keep up the great work game creators💛
This game has quickly become my most used app on my phone, it’s actually quite concerning haha. It is so so nice to just play while watching a show or listening to music or during my breaks at work. It’s now one of my favorite ways to destress. I love dressing up all the fairies like the people in my life and decorating the houses (by the way, I wanted to ask Hyper, is five houses the limit?) and the art style is so pleasant. There is such a variety on everything, from the different features and hairstyles a character can have to all the different kinds of decorations (I really love all the fall/Halloween themed things available right now), and it keeps me wanting to play more so I can unlock more maps and see just how many options I can get. Typically, I like games with storylines, but it’s actually been a really nice change of pace to just play a game where my biggest concern is where I’m going to place a couch. Of course, it helps that I don’t mind watching ads as this is a pretty ad-heavy/reliant game (only if you want to get things faster. You choose when you watch the ads, it doesn’t randomly show them). If you are impatient or have an adversity towards ads, this game probably isn’t for you unfortunately. Other than that, I feel like there are no issues with this game whatsoever (and the ads aren’t even a problem for me), so five stars from me!!
i love love love this game!! it’s so cute and relaxing. however, i do think that there are so many opportunities for this to be expanded on further: 1. being able to interact with the explorations more instead of simply sending the faries off for 5 hours - there could be optional minigames? 2. i wish we could have more than just 5 houses. i LOVE all the furniture and i dont want to get rid of it, but there isnt enough space for it after a while. maybe if 5 houses = 1 village, we could have the opportunity to then open up an additional village in a new setting (underwater, rainforest, etc.) 3. interacting with other players!! a different review suggested being able to gift other players items and i thought that was a great idea. 4. making some of the furniture more interactive! being able to cook would be so cool (fairies could bring back food or recipes from adventures, and the food could even be for the guardian!), or turning lights on/off. one other issue i am having is that sometimes one of my villagers will disappear from the map even when they aren’t on an adventure. i can still dress them up usually if i switch to them while already dressing another fairy up, but it brings me to a strange white screen.
Very cute, my partner and I love this game. The animation is adorable and we love to be able to customize and rename the characters, as well as decorate and expand on the village. Some things we wish were available: -You run out of things to do pretty quickly. There is the mini game with the cat (I haven’t unlocked much yet), but it would be nice to even come WITH the fairies on their expeditions or do other activities that aren’t just mini-games. -It would be nice to befriend other players and visit their village, gift items to them, and do small activities or challenges together. I would even pay for this feature if it were available. -Be able to place furniture and decor items OUTSIDE the houses, and expand your houses underground. -Have recipes you can make, a shop to sell treasures or cooked food at, a goal to work towards such as expanding territory of your village (and maybe even different biomes such as seen in different expedition maps). The app is a bit glitchy even after the update and the screen seems to be touchy when placing items. You also cannot select creatures if they are sitting in front of inventions as it will only select the invention. Overall I love this game and can’t wait to see how it develops over time.
I’ll just say it’s the kind of game you delete within a week not because it’s a bad game but because there’s nothing to do anymore you send your fries on quest you get different maps you’re not physically going on the quest by the way you’re just sitting there for hours on end waiting for the quest to finish or you can watch an ad and finish it quickly you have a limit to five houses you can decorate is very odd because you have quite a lot of furniture, but the furniture takes up so much space you can only add like decent sized items per room, which leaves you with so many more items and decorations that you can’t use. on top of that there’s these machines you can buy take up at least five block spaces which decreases your room size in half which is very annoying and then besides that you also have this annoying bee that is flying across your screen every five seconds if you don’t watch the ad that it wants you to watch which basically forces you to watch the ad because it’s flying in the middle of your screen and then don’t get me started on the gigantic cat that just walks around and does nothing but take up space and I’m constantly having to move it out of the houses. I really enjoyed the game at first, but there’s just so many missed opportunities.
