Version 1.3.1
- Added Winter, Valentine events
So I’ve been playing this game for 2 weeks now, and it’s such a relaxing game! I feel like a lot of f2p games really limit you to only 5-10 mins of gameplay until you have to spend money, or wait a few hours until you can play for another 5-10 mins. I really love how this game does not push you to spend anything! Of course, there’s still the option to. And honestly I’ll probably end up spending money in the game because I appreciate the devs for making such a great game! It’s not too complicated, and there’s plenty to do, plenty to collect, plenty to save your acorns for! I love that there’s a lot of options to watch ads to double your rewards for tips, flour, treasure hunt, the mini games with special customers. It’s a great free and optional way to advance in the game! If I don’t feel like watching ads, I won’t opt in. But there are some days when I’m trying to rush to get something so I’ll watch ALL the ads anytime I get and it usually gets me what I want pretty fast! So no complaints there. The art style is beautiful and reminds me of the Studio Ghibli style of anime. I also love the cute themes of the different areas as you upgrade! Everything is pretty attainable. I will say the story and the dialogue is also cute. I hope Alessia comes back though, I’d be fine with helping her manage the campfire cafe too! I feel like she could make a great addition to the game. She’s the only one missing! Literally 😂
Adorable game! The designs for characters and other assets like the tables and bread buns are super cute! I just got the game so it's still slow going saving up money to expand the menu at the pace customers want, but then again I don't usually play these tapping/management games. I think the main character/restaurant owner's interesting because they seem kind to their workers but negligent in managing his own business. It's an interesting story so far. I appreciate the little special visitors/mini games that come to the restaurant frequently. I think the mail man is my favorite, but then again I've only met Luna once. I'd recommend the game! It has 3 different screens/fronts to start off with (like within your first day of play) so there's lots to look at. I've never had issue opening, closing, or moving from different menus/screens/mini games. No sudden ad cuts, or loudly placed advertisements either. They're optional stuff, and at the beginning at least ad skip tickets are freely given. Ads would give another chance at a mini game, substitute tapping for more customers for a while, or let you do things before you have the resources usually spent to get upgrade material. It seems like an unobtrusive system.
A lot of games offer a nice playing experience at the beginning, and then beg you for reviews right before they price gouge you for additional content and play time. So I was waiting to write this review, but now that I’ve been playing this for a week, I think I can say this with confidence. I love this game, it’s super cute and fun; it’s quirky and clever in narrative and asset design. Importantly, for the first time ever for a game of its type, I don’t feel backed into a wall to spend money in order to keep playing. I usually prefer games that you can just pay once to remove forced ads, and then essentially own the whole game ad-free. Which is fine. We should pay people for their work. This game does not offer that, but it doesn’t even have forced ads. Not at all. There are in-app purchases, but they sell things you WANT to buy, because there are such cute items and buffs. But you don’t NEED to. You can also acquire an insane amount of bonuses by watching ads voluntarily. I wish every developer had this kind of business model; it really favors the player, and I am absolutely and necessarily impressed! Thank you!
This game was been the resolve to all of my short boring breaks at work over the summer. It was actually really fun meeting the new characters and developing the spaces all this time. I feel like all of the text about the different guests and cafe workers was so entertaining and really brought me just the right amount of joy this busy season. However, I believe I’ve reached the end of the game 😳. I upgraded the sanctuary for the last time and there are no more goals to reach moving forward. Now, I knew I was playing the game quickly and it took up a fair share of my screen time lately… but the plot isn’t going to end? The chefs wife never comes back? There are no more themed updates like a lumberjack or minimalist pack of furniture? I highly suggest adding another zone to the game like an arcade or a plant/thrift shop for an extension of characters and activities, which also might allow more time for the plot line of the chefs wife returning or finding out what that means for the cafe, the other characters, etc. I’m totally fine with there being a point of just collecting acorns and relaxing and mindlessly running the cafe, but I can’t help but think about how much potential there is for the game go reach a little bit further into its universe.
I got really addicted to this game when I started 2 months ago. I play every day still but it doesn’t feel like there are any goals to work towards now that I’ve completed the main story. Looks like their last main story update was 9 months ago and I’ve checked the developers’ website and social media to see if there is any news about coming updates and there’s nothing. It seems like they have a lot of other newer games they’re focusing on right now and this game seems to be on the back burner aside from holiday events. That would be fine but when there’s no furniture to buy then getting your reputation up is a slog. You have to level up your staff and your fairies which takes forever (when you’re not spending real money) and your reputation only goes up by a few points. I have two last recipes I’m working towards but my reputation is at 3,252 and the last recipe requires me to get to 3,425. Even buying event furniture doesn’t get you very far. I’m about to run out of time on the pride event and I was only able to get 11 out of the 27 pieces which probably got me around 44 reputation. This is a really fun and cute game and I want there to be more content and things to work towards. Hopefully by the time I get my last recipe there will be more stuff to keep me going.
I’ve been playing this game for like 6 months now and safe to say I’m a bit of an expert. It’s a great idle game to get sucked into that doesn’t require constant ad watching or paying money to be able to enjoy. The ads and money spent only add to your experience rather than taking away as many games do. The art is cute, the mechanics are fun and easy and as my friends can attest I’m a bit obsessed. However, I do have a couple critiques. I won’t be touching on the fact that the game gets barebones the higher levels you get as I understand the game is still updating. However I would love more ways to get wood and bricks as there’s lots to purchase wood and bricks and it is near impossible to get. I would also love a way to do more with the gems. I’ve got like 5,000 gems and have no idea what to do with any of them. And finally, the outfits max out at level 20 which makes sense. However what is frustrating is that the outfits that are maxed out can still be dug up which wastes my shovels and is frustrating to use 9 shovels and get no outfits as all the outfits go to maxed out outfits. Despite these critiques I do love this game and can’t wait to see where it goes!
Honestly do not understand all the bad reviews and I’m convinced they’re children. Yes the game is similar to other games, due to the game type, however I’ve take much more of a liking to this game. The art, and characters are just adorable and so creative. Just saw the little mouse wizard and oh my god was I in love with his design. The background art, tables, the bakery. It’s all done so well. I can tell someone put love into this game. People complain about having nothing to do after completing all the available content like the developers can endlessly make more. It is expected in any game that isn’t meant to be repetitive to get to a point where you unlock everything and have nothing to do until the next update. Which is understandable, since we can’t have our wonderful devs slaving over making more content. I’d like them to take their time and bring us something amazing in the long run. I hope to someday complete it and see all the different characters and dishes! All in all, adorable game and lovely game full of unique characters and beautiful art. Definitely a 10/10.
Where do I even start??? I've only had this game for about a week, and I've fallen IN LOVE. I log in everyday and play for at least 10 minutes. This game is just so.. perfect!! It's extremely calming due to its cutesy art style, slow moving animation (a good thing!!), quiet, lovely music, and the sound effects!! But not only is it calming-- it's engaging! It has lots of different things to do to progress the (cute, but not intense) storyline. For example, you have to buy things for your cafe to increased its reputation, and once you've reached a certain reputation, you are able to add a bakery or campground! It's engaging and entertaining without being overwhelming or difficult to progress. I love it! Oh, I forgot to mention! The game willl usually give you little mini games every 7 minutes or so, to keep you motivated! This is really nice and feels like a little reward. It's also super fun without paying, which I appreciate, since most games have paywalls/certain game items you can't get for free. This one doesn't!! That's all for now. Amazing game!! 🩷
