Our Expert Score

91/100

Caravan Sandwitch feels like a warm, reassuring hug in digital form. In a gaming landscape full of stressful shooters and punishing survival mechanics, its decision to completely abandon combat and player mortality is incredibly refreshing. Driving the van over the rolling sand dunes of Cigalo is physics-based comfort at its finest, and the cell-shaded aesthetic creates gorgeous, panoramic vistas that feel lifted out of a high-end graphic novel.

The mechanical loop of exploring ruins, climbing towers, and using your van's tools to solve light environmental puzzles is deeply satisfying. The narrative stays grounded and emotionally resonant, focusing on community reconstruction and corporate environmental impact rather than explosive sci-fi clichés. It is a pacing masterclass that lets you explore at leisure, making it an incredible experience for mobile devices where you can just hop in, drive around for twenty minutes, and instantly feel relaxed.

Could be an amazing game , love the story and the characters, but it could be better , I love apocalyptic, sci fi , genres. And love when you aren’t worried about dying all the time or having to kill everyone. But the controls are quite choppy and the camera angles get stuck at times which is frustrating because you can’t really take everything in when the camera isn’t really responsive to you. So it takes away from the thrill of it Also it’s a bit confusing maybe it’s just me but I’d rather have a tracking system that works yes you can track some of the missions but they actually aren’t all that helpful. And you definitely end up wandering more than you’d want to . Also it says it will save it for you and it did a couple times but then I had played for like two hours went back and all my progress was gone which is really frustrating I gave it 4 stars because there is so much potential for this game to be amazing just hope the devs decide to listen to the reviews

The atmosphere from the art design to environmental sounds with the lovely soundtrack, you can really get immersed in the game. The driving is actually better than I had expected, and it’s nice you can boost. I love the characters and how they speak. Dialogue is a kinda cheesy but it keeps the game cute and cozy. My biggest critiques are the UI, movement, and camera. The UI needs bigger buttons or larger boxes for activation because there were numerous times I thought I had selected options but nothing happened or the menu just closed. I think movement needs an adjustable slider for sensitivity between walking and running and a slider to change size/diameter of control stick. Then for the camera, that whole system just needs to be reworked. It’s inconsistent, twitchy, and hard to move accurately which makes simple navigation difficult. Other than the negatives I had, I really appreciate what this team is working with and love the world they’ve built!

Beautiful and Janky

What a gorgeous art style! The driving is fun, the missions are engaging, the eerie moments are so well executed. However, the camera movement is so inconvenient, especially while parkouring. I also can’t help but think a climbing function wouldn’t go amiss- the map is just so much fun to explore. I was really entranced by the solarpunk of it all. The camera movement has got to be updated in some way though, because it’s really difficult to get around with the crazy perspectives and glitching. I’d also really appreciate a manual save on mobile. Thank you!

I really don’t write reviews but this game surprised me the art style, the gameplay and the story were all pretty good and the length of the game surprised me as well took me about 11 hrs to beat in total which I appreciated, the main character Sauge I definitely like the character design and the music is very good too giving that dystopian feel. My only thing is sometimes while driving, returning to garage or entering a location my game would crash and close me out the app but other than that very chill laid back game and good choice to allow for controllers to be used made traversal and gameplay way easy, I hope this game gets more recognition 👏 Ps; I find it so funny I’d be climbing the tallest buildings in the game and jump off Sauge just tanks it all 😂

Thumbs up

I can’t help but laugh a little at these trolls who 1 starred this app because of the controls. You can adjust the control and camera speed in the settings as well as invert the xy axis if needed. Like any game, especially one’s on a phone, you’re going to have to take a few minutes to get used to the controls but I have had no issues with them at all. Other than just having to get used to rotating the camera as you move around (which is pretty easy) this game is pretty cool so far. Already planning to buy it once I finish playing through the free part. For this genre it’s definitely 5/5.

Fun and good quality! (Fix the camera!!!)

This game is pretty fun to play. Super high quality for a mobile game I think, and the driving is pretty fun too. The only thing I’m having trouble with is the turning mechanism. In other games you drag your finger across the screen and the camera moves until your finger stops. In this game you slide your finger, and it continues spinning until you remove your finger. I’m not too far into the game yet, but I can understand if some people get bored quickly, the gameplay in the beginning IS a little tedious. BUT I have high hopes! I like this style of game

I really want to like it

The art style is super cute and from what I’ve seen, the story seems interesting but the controls are awful and for some reason. It’s (somewhat) easy to control the player but to change the camera/view, it’s so difficult. I wanted to give up several times 😭 Not only that, every time I close, I have to restart. The game asks me if I want to load from local or cloud but no matter what I press, it starts me back at the beginning. Going to give it one more shot before I try to wait for an update.

Camera Controls need to be upgraded

I only got a few minutes into the game because the camera controls were so god awful that I couldn’t continue. The story and gameplay very quickly seemed super interesting honestly. The camera moves WAY too slow and is not sensitive enough even with sensitivity turned all the way up, spins out of control randomly, need an option to get it to either follow the character’s position as well as the ability to zoom in/out. The controls when you walk up to people and objects also lag pretty bad which was frustrating. I would love to actually play this if these things get taken care of
