The best game you're not playing
Thu Jul 11 2024 Bluejeans2025

I read about Bandle in a newsletter and have been obsessed ever since. I don't consider myself to be that knowledgeable on music. However, since the songs are mostly huge hits, usually I can get the song eventually. Unless it's imagine dragons, and well then in that case, you might see me slam my phone down in frustration. I have bought more songs to play and have been playing with my family. They think it's so hard! And to be honest, they are bringing down my average rating, ha! I have gotten better at playing over time. It's so fun to see how the songs come together. All genres, even movie soundtracks! If you love wordle or other games like that, or if you love music, you will love playing Bandle! The bonus rounds are my favorite! I am learning more about music and getting little tidbits of history. It's awesome.

Absolute favorite part of my day

I’ve been playing for a few months now, and I think it’s the most consistent habit I have lol. From guessing the song, to seeing top guesses and then the trivia, there are so many fun and free ways to play. I love getting under par or when there’s a throwback I haven’t thought about in 15+ years. I’m incredibly frugal and not one to pay for apps so I have yet to take the plunge, but I consider buying their largest pack every single day. Most of the purchase options are reasonably priced for how many songs they offer, but I do kinda wish there was an option of one price for full access. Either way, the additional features you get for buying even the cheapest pack are a nice added incentive. Genius concept, and I’m grateful for the effort as it’s all made by one guy. Keep up the good work!

Best Music Game Going

This is an extraordinary wordle-type game for music lovers. I have been playing for a couple weeks, and I can confidently say that it has everything you could ask for in a music guessing game. The songs are popular enough that I am rarely left not knowing or hearing the song before, yet it still offers an interesting and thought provoking challenge by playing individual instruments. The hints are also a nice touch to get a better idea of possibilities for what the song may be. It’s always a good time playing this game with a groups of friends. My only gripe with the game is that you are limited to 1 game per day. There are 3 packs of 5 songs for which you can watch videos to play, then you must buy packs to have access to the rest of the archive. I would watch videos ‘til the cows come home if it meant i could get more games per day. Maybe players could get their first play of the day, then they can watch videos to get more plays, and put a cap of 3 extra songs per day from watching videos. Or something like that. If the ad revenue makes sense to do this, then i think it would be a great addition. Whoever created this game, you rule! Keep up the great work.

This is the most fun daily habit

This game is incredible, don’t listen to the insensitive whiny low raters on here who think some songs are too obscure for them (no one is going to know every single song out there) and that every thing should be free, even though the creator works extremely hard every day to bring this to us. Only the extra packs are paid and they are extremely reasonably priced and a one time fee. Otherwise you can always play each days new song for FREE and it’s such a fun addictive daily habit! These songs are well done and produced like the originals and it’s so fun and satisfying to get one on just the drums or bass!! my sisters and I have a blast texting each other our scores and thoughts daily :)

Dream come true. Amazing!!! So fun!

This is the music game I didn’t know I’ve always wanted. I downloaded it, played through all the free songs, and then immediately purchased the full version and it’s totally worth it! It’s been so much fun to play alone and with friends and family! It’s challenging but addicting and incredibly satisfying when it finally clicks in your head and you get it! Plus, the bonus questions for each song are really fun and unique (the BPM questions are my FAVORITE!). 10/10, absolutely the best mobile game I’ve played in a long long time and I can’t see myself ever getting tired of it! From a grateful music-obsessed band nerd, the biggest THANK YOU for creating this amazing game!

Fun Game

Game can be a little frustrating because sometimes in the early stages you know it, but can’t think of the name…at least for me. I find it very fun and like the daily aspect of it, if you don’t want to buy a set of songs. The only quarrel I have is the Musical category is mostly movies. There are so many good songs…Sondheim, Rogers and Hammerstein, etc. that would make good challenges as well as slightly less obvious choices instead of Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and The Greatest Showman. But the pop songs are fun and challenging and I have been telling all of my friends about this game. I am even thinking it could be a good party game.

Super fun and challenging

I just downloaded this game and purchased the 80s pack to start then added others before the night was through. Before we knew it my wife and I had sat and played the game for close to 2 hours. So much fun to rack our brains and then start singing through the songs together as we work our way to the song title. It’s clear you put a LOT of hours into transcribing all the inner workings of hundreds of compositions. Excellent work! I’m sure we’ll find ourselves burning through 2-3 more hours several evenings to come.

A fun concept that keeps me coming back, could use more attention to detail sometimes

I love nerding out about music, so I’ve played this game since I first heard about it months ago. When it’s at its best, it’s really fun and I love hearing the parts of songs I love split up. It’s not always perfect, though. The biggest issue is typically the recreations of certain parts using sub-par VSTs, especially for strings, horns and other more exotic instruments. Sometimes they even get the names wrong for some instruments (which can drive music majors like myself and my friends a bit crazy—I’ll never forget the time they called steel drums a marimba). The bonus questions can have some really fun facts (when they’re correct, of course). I’ve also bought a couple song packs and really appreciate the extra effort put into those stems (I was especially surprised to hear some actual vocals)! All in all, with maybe a bit more people putting together and editing everything for consistency, this can definitely be 5-star game.
