Yatzy: The Classic Dice Game is a masterclass in clean, digital adaptation. It takes the timeless 'shake and roll' mechanics and translates them into a satisfyingly tactile mobile experience. The haptic feedback on the dice rolls is a small touch that makes a huge difference, giving you that 'just one more turn' feeling that defines the best casual games.

What I particularly appreciate is the variety of modes. Whether you want to grind through the solo challenges to test your strategy or jump into a quick multiplayer match, the matchmaking is snappy and the UI never gets in the way. It’s rare to find a classic board game app that doesn't feel cluttered with microtransactions, and while there are ads, they don't derail the strategic flow of deciding whether to chase that Large Straight or settle for a Full House.

The classy Yatzy dice game and you

So as the title indicates classic Yahtzee game is classicly fun to play, you can play by yourself you can play with against people online you can do the professional level. It’s all fun and you receive redeemable points every game. able to cash them out every four hours and I get them straight to my PayPal without even all that much effort and time . I have been able to make like four dollars a day just doing this in my free seconds or minutes if my day . The only thing I don’t like is the extra turn option. ya player can watch a video to qualify for an extra turn, which comes in handy sometimes but I don’t think it’s fair. Because you could do it every single turn of the game and that’s not Yahtzee .Yahtzee doesn’t give you four turns to give you three . so as an incentive, it would be cool to just have it if you were allowed to have three or maybe five on extra tyrns but not every term .

I love this game but..

I feel like it’s rigged at times. It’s just freaking annoying. I’ll play the puzzle and in doing so you’ll need to reach or go over that puzzle amount you chose. So, let’s say I need 250 or more points to have that piece accomplished. I’ll be 6 points away from a win and need only six 2’s left. It seems like just because all I need are 2’s, I’ll literally never get a 2. And I’ll watch ad after ad after ad like there’s no tomorrow for maybe just one more 2, and I kid you not after 30 minutes of watching ads for that one 2, I end up giving up and starting over. This happens a lot with any number at any time. It feels like once I’ve “watched enough ads” then spontaneously in one game I’ll get like 3 Yahtzee’s in almost a row. It’s a fun game but I’m curious of how “random” the die really are. Also when you play others, sometimes I get distracted so I set my phone down or take a phone call, and like I’ve “left the other person hanging” for quite some time but I start playing again and it’s like I never left. So I know all of those are either bots or pre-played games. Whereas if I play skipbo, I’m timed and miss my turn because the other players are real and they’re waiting. Again fun game but feels a bit rigged. It is aggravating but knowing it I still play to pass time.

Fun Game

This is a fun game to play. You don’t have ads coming up at every move, there are ads but only to get extra rewards. There are no side games and I find that refreshing in a game like this. I like that it shows you what you can use your dice roll for on your score sheet, making it easy to choose where you want to play. Overall it’s just a great game to play if you’re wanting to waste some time or get away from life for a little while, and it’s fun. There is the competitiveness of it which keeps it from being boring. There is one thing I would change, at the end when the final scores are shown of each player, the graphic goes by entirely too fast. You need a second to compare the two scores.

10 out of 10

My fiancé and I love playing the board game Yahtzee, so I’ve tried downloading a few different apps before this one. Most of them weren’t very good—they were confusing and didn’t really follow the standard rules of the game. This app, however, is simple, easy to use, and feels true to the original. I especially like that it’s beginner-friendly. I think it would be a great way to teach my daughter how to play without overwhelming her with complicated instructions—she can just learn by playing along on the app. Overall, this is one of the best versions of the game I’ve found, and I’d definitely recommend it. 10 out of 10!

Rigged!

It’s pretty obvious you play against bots and boy do they cheat. They constantly neglect their upper section and rarely get the bonus so you’d think it would be easy to beat them, and at first it is…. Then, after they’ve hooked you, the bots suddenly can’t miss a roll. Seriously, multiple games in a row you can expect them to get Yahtzee, large straight, and high scoring three and four of a kinds, while you’re struggling to get even one of those to show up. Like legit they Yahtzee 2/3 games while I get one maybe 1/4, and sometimes even a double Yahtzee isn’t enough to win because the game is too busy sucking them off and screwing you to give you a chance, like not much you can do when the game blatantly refuses to give you even three of a kind multiple rolls in a row, no way you get your upper section bonus, and expect to scratch any categories that require at least trips to get anything, Uninstalled

Favorite game, but currently bugged!

I’ve played this game for months and I absolutely love it. I look forward to playing in the tournaments, progressing in the puzzle challenges and winning races. However, I noticed a few days ago after completing a puzzle (and waiting long enough for the next available one) that my “Puzzle” mode has completely disappeared! I’ve only had “Tournament” and “Epic Race” available (even after making sure I was connected to the internet). I downloaded the game onto my iPad to see if the feature was removed, but found that it was available there. I’ve also submitted “Support” tickets in-game. I just wish it was resolved since it’s part of my nightly routine. 😕

Rigged & Ads Galore

When a game makes you watch ads after every puzzle or game in this case I am done. I also cannot stand when games offer “ad free”, but limit it to a day or week. The real kicker here though is how painfully obvious the “fair algorithm” is rigged to force you to buy or watch for dice. Your first 10-20 games you will be a lucky roller, you’ll get good scores, and likely win 75% of the matches. But then the game takes a turn. Roll after roll you will rarely ever get more than 3 of a kind. It’s also obvious how the first couple turns produce straights & full houses, after that they become impossible to get. I once spent 30 ad watching dice trying to a 6 with THREE dice, not getting one. The odds are incredible that this wouldn’t happen. Don’t waste your time, and I laugh at the 4.8 rating. No way is that not pumped.

Definitely not random

I’ve been playing this game a lot for the past couple of weeks and have definitely found patterns with the way the dice rolls go. For example, it pays off to go for your full house or your straights early on. Normally drawing to an inside straight is not a great strategy, but if it’s early in the game, you will almost always fill it up. And if you’ve got two pairs on your first roll, you might as well try for your full house. The odds are against you getting it, but you’ll be amazed at how often and how easy it is to fill that one up early in the game. You can also tell that the bot gets what it needs far more often than you will. If you play against the supposedly live opponents, you will notice that there is never a lag. You never have to wait for them to take their turn, and if you are delayed in making your next roll, they will still be there waiting for the game to continue. That just wouldn’t happen with real human beings. Obviously, all of this is being done in order to get you to use up your extra dice rolls in the hope that you will buy more dice.
