This update brings additional content with the Book of Fate! You can find the Book of Fate in the Magic Market, and it contains 6 Fates for you complete. Each Fate gives you a bonus when active, and a permanent bonus when completed! These Fates will help smooth out the mid-game progression and also provide some end-game content for players who have already beaten the game. I hope you enjoy them!
Changes
-Ring of Essentials now has a max level of 60
-You can now drop the Magic Dice onto individual Rings to respec them
-Achievements now reward 1 Paradox Anchor instead of 1 Mirror!
-New option: "Hold to Fast Upgrade" allows you upgrade items very quickly!
Fixes
-Fixed a bug preventing offline production of the Runic Table
-Fixed a crash that could occur if you upgraded the Temporal Net without having the Staff of Power
WizUp! is a refreshing take on the wizard-themed idle genre because it emphasizes resource management and 'prestige' cycles without the usual clutter of ads. You start as a lone wizard killing enemies and gathering resources, but the game quickly opens up with layers of unique mechanics like Paradox Anchors and Mirrors of Remembrance.
The real hook for me was balancing the 'Orbs of Power.' Deciding whether to pump my points into XP gain or Chaotic Essence production makes the 'active' part of the idle game feel meaningful. With over 45 different resources and items like the 'Ring of Stars' that trigger on your wizard's death, there's always a new strategy to try. It’s a slow burn, but for fans of incremental games who want a 'pure' experience without in-app purchases, this is a must-play.
No advertisements or in-app purchases for a pure experience
Over 45 distinct resources and items to discover
Deep prestige system featuring Paradox Anchors and Mirrors
Strategic Orb allocation for XP, Damage, and Essence production
When you prestige (Awaken), you earn Paradox Anchors. Use these to get Mirrors of Sight and Remembrance. These are vital for boosting your Global Storage, which is the bottleneck for late-game progress.
Keep a close eye on your Orbs of Power. Early on, focus heavily on XP gain to level up your wizard faster, then shift toward Rune Drop Chance once you need specific items to push past boss enemies.
As an incremental game, it is designed for long-term play with increasing layers of complexity and prestige resets.
This is a well thought out upgrade game. It needs some tweaks to add a bit of variety and strategy each awakening, but overall fun.
Give it sometime, it took till about rank 4 (awakening) for the gameplay loop to set in. It actually starts becoming quite engaging.
It’s a new incremental game the devs in the discord and talks with the community. Its still being built but so far its amazing.
I like that they’re putting a price tag on the game instead of pushing in-app purchases, but the gameplay is not very intriguing and the most of the upgrades barely do anything for progress.
Its fine for the price but many upgrades don’t do anything towards progress and its generally best to rush exp and ignore the hard to purchase upgrades which all get flushed with each ascension.
