mini update
Tiny Room Story is a masterclass in mobile puzzle design. By taking the classic 'escape room' concept and applying it to a 3D isometric world that you can rotate, the developers created something that feels truly tactile. You're not just clicking on pixels; you're investigating a town, peering behind furniture, and solving logical puzzles that actually make sense within the world.
The mystery starts small—a missing father in a deserted town—but it quickly evolves into something much more intriguing. The 'episodes' are paced perfectly, and the shift in environments from a suburban house to secret underground labs keeps the gameplay fresh. It’s one of the few mobile games that I would recommend to fans of PC classics like Myst or The Room.
Unique 3D isometric puzzle mechanics
Engaging detective story with multiple chapters
Atmospheric environments and sound design
Challenging puzzles that test logic and observation
If you are stuck on a puzzle, rotate the room 360 degrees. Often, a key, a code, or a lever is hidden on the back of a pillar or under a desk that is only visible from a specific angle.
Your character automatically keeps track of clues. However, some puzzles require you to remember symbols or patterns from previous rooms, so having a physical pen and paper nearby can be very helpful!
The first few chapters are free to play. You can unlock the full story and all future episodes through a one-time in-app purchase.
This was an amazing game! I spent hours on it by far one of my favorite games everybody’s complaining about ads maybe it’s because Wi-Fi or something but the whole time I didn’t have any ads even if I wanted to have a hint, I didn’t get forced to have an ad. I think it’s just a glitch with my Wi-Fi or something. Debating on paying it’s only three dollars a half to see I probably will but I’m saving up for a trip! This was an amazing game I would say probably 12-year-old not 4+, Not because it’s inappropriate or anything I just think that would just need a 12-year-old to actually be able to figure out the stuff without a hint! Amazing mechanisms and wonderful story you truly never know or can predict what’s going to happen next. It’s not repetitive like most games. It’s truly one of the best games. It’s very time consuming, which I like, as I spent a lot of hours on the first one, but it’s so addicting so you don’t have to spend hours you can take a break in between chapters if you want I was just really getting into it. It has nice graphics and scenes. I’m playing on the phone so it’s very easy to maneuver on any device if you can do it on a phone! Anyway, I would rated 10 stars if I could so excited for the new chapter, I actually think I might buy it and I’ll play it on the on my vacation!
This game has a great look and it is pretty interesting. Unfortunately, the main mechanic of a game like this is the puzzles, and a number of the puzzles are just nonsense. For many solutions, there is absolutely no reason you should think to do what the game has you do. For example, there is a locked power box that you have to get into. The solution is to use your pliers to loosed the hinges on the door. The problem with this is that it is complete nonsense. If I loosen the hinges, the door would still be locked, and it would not come off. Therefore, no one would reasonably think to do that. This is the worst one I’ve encountered so far, but there are a number of puzzles that are like that in the game. The solution is something that is not logical at all and cannot be reasonably expected to be tried. Sometimes the issue is with view. The lighting, sizing, and camera angle can make it impossible to notice some essential things unless a hint points them out. You may have clicked the area multiple times but not hit the exact tiny thing you can’t really see. This game could be better, but it’s not terrible, the atmosphere makes it somewhat enjoyable, but I keep running into puzzles that frustrate me because the solution is nonsense and it’s cheapens the experience.
As a lover of puzzle games and escape-room mechanics, this game topped almost every other game I've played in the past. Not only are the puzzles fleshed out, but they make you think outside the box. They're generally not too hard and they are satisfying to complete. The devs really managed to convey an escape room environment in these cute little rooms. You also get to scour the map while exploring the world they created, without it being too much of a drag. The graphics are cohesive in their style and I enjoyed the extra love they gave non-important items in the game by making them interactable. I ended up being so impressed with the free portion that I bought the full version to satisfy my curiosity on how the story ends. I also want to take this time to commend the devs for giving so much to players in the free version alone and not locking most of it behind a paywall. They spend the time making sure you have a great time before you hit the paywall and it was pretty much a no-brainer for me to give them just a little bit of support in exchange for the effort they've put into their game. Sure, you have to watch a few ads, but compared to so many other games I've played, the ads are not obnoxious at all, and you get a lot of playing time from the free part (hours of play). I couldn't help but finish the whole game over the course of two days because I was THAT impressed and enamored with Kiary Games' work. From one game designer to another, kudos to the whole team! I'm already looking forward to their upcoming Tiny Room game. If you get the chance to sit down and enjoy some good storytelling and puzzle gameplay, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU.
This game has several chapters, making it quite the bargain for the price. Interesting plot line. Graphics that support the plot. I did find some of the puzzles a bit too much, not being able to make all the connections, even when I fell back on the hints. The hint system is both good and necessary. Generally the hints will start out with a simple direction, giving you the opportunity to figure out most of the puzzle, and only giving you the answer if you really need it. Having said that, as noted, there were a few times when even given the answer I realized I never would’ve figured it out. But I played many games with much worse problems. There are a few things you learn at the beginning, such as the fact that you always have a limited view. So you have to rotate the view so that you see in all directions around you. Setting all this aside, this is the kind of game that I buy in a heartbeat. I certainly look forward to new offerings from this developer.
Although I am horrible at puzzle games, this game is still a banger. Beautiful scenery, wonderful puzzles, and is VERY worthwhile. This game is incredible. To those who love puzzles, this is definitely the app that you’ll be hooked into. Bonuses: there aren’t constant ads popping up every few seconds (they appear after you finish a chapter, but each chapter takes up like 25 mins or more), they don’t force you to watch the entire 30 seconds and lets you go after 5 seconds of watching them, and the creator of this game is incredibly generous on satisfying you with like 7 entire free chapters. And wait, only like 2 bucks to unlock the entire game + no ads? What a steel. From the beginning to the end of Act 1, I was completely hooked. I couldn’t put my tablet down for even a second. My eyes are so dry. Tiny Room is very much better than most of the games I’ve seen on the App Store. Definitely playing this game again. Won’t hit different the first time when playing it, but would still be very enjoyable.
I’m pretty big into puzzle games, they’re frankly taking over my Steam account and decimating my wallet. Therefore, when I came across this free bad boy here, I was a little skeptical. Good and free don’t often live together. However, they do here. The user experience is phenomenal — the puzzles are well thought out, the art is stylized but detailed, there’s an actual STORY, and the mechanics and mechanisms are satisfying to operate. Without a doubt one of the best puzzle games I’ve ever downloaded onto my phone. Even gives some PC/console puzzle games a run for their money, all things considered. Now, chapters 2 and 3 (and extras alongside them) do cost a nominal one-time fee of like $3 or something, but you get a LOT of quality playtime for your buck. I just wish that the developers would make more games like this, because I’ve been looking for it since before I knew I was looking for it. Whenever they make more, I’ll prob be the first to download ‘em. Absolutely stellar job, lads. Please make more!!!
I love this game! Love the play, love the story! There were some parts that I needed a lot of hints but that was ok, a lot of numbers and a lot to keep track of. Some parts are also difficult with the small objects or the more random places that you’d never think of checking without a hint. However I also know that some of that is just gonna happen with it being 3d and on a phone with all the details in the game. But that’s what I used the hints for and still like the game a lot! I also LOVED the little easter egg type things hidden throughout the game. Like the friends door, or the Harry Potter mugshot, or stranger things game name. Honestly that made the game that much more fun to play even though it doesn’t matter much in the gameplay. Just get the game, you’ll be hooked. Just a warning you do have to pay to like $3 to finish the game, but for me once I got that far there was no question about it, I HAD to finish the game. Needless to say, it was well worth the $3.
I weirdly like this game but it’s more of a love to hate it. When you start off the puzzles are simple but they quickly escalate to nonsense. And by nonsense I mean that the game developer must be some level of intelligence I’m not at, but hasn’t learned to water this down to an applicable level so 99% of us can solve the puzzles. Which is to say that after a couple chapters the solutions are utter nonsense. Why? Only the developer could know the solutions. The first half of the game is free so you just watch a ton of ads to get the hints. So that’s how that’s done. But it doesn’t end there once you hit the second half and pay 2.99 for the extra content, no ads etc. What happens is you pay and you just don’t have to watch an add for the free hint you need EVERY TIME. Luckily it’s such an engaging storyline, but it’s incredibly frustrating and needs to be more user friendly. Also for any classist individuals out there I have a Masters degree. The difficulties ain’t because of my smarts, lovies. It’s literally nonsense unsolvable puzzles without the hints.
