Gamepad controlled support added!
This game literally has 0 flaws. Lost in Play is a puzzle game you could say, where you have to solve puzzles and use your brain a little bit to do quests and such. This game doesnt cost money to download or play, but you cant play the whole game without paying 5 dollars (4.99 to be exact) but id say its worth it. I play this game all the time and ive beat it about 5 times now. It quite a long game for a mobile game, and once you complete it you can play any part of the game over again. I very much recommend if you need a fun game to play if you have a lot of free time/if you like puzzle games. The animation is so cool and the fact that this is somewhat based on real people is great!! I also love the little parts that connect here and there in different scenes, like the frogs or the poker chips. 100 and ten percent recommend and thank you to the developers for making this game. Im hoping for a second one but ill keep playing this one no matter what. Love it !!!
This game is beautiful. The art, the story, the music, the sound design. All beautifully conceived and executed. The gameplay is intuitive and the puzzles were great fun. My only criticism is that is was almost disappointingly short. I understand it takes a lot of resources to make games, but near the beginning of the game you get a map which shows all of the encounters you would expect to see in your adventure to the end. Unfortunately, after three short encounters, the game goes into a video montage (which is fun and beautiful and well animated) showing the main characters completing the rest of the encounters that we previously on the map before diving into the final chapter. I can’t tell you how disappointing it was to realize that all of the adventures I expected to have in this lovely game were just being gleaned over in a short cut scene. This might not be the case, but certainly seemed as though perhaps the devs ran out of funding to fully bring each chapter to life? I’d have much preferred they had edited the map to remove some things as opposed to making a cut scene. Perhaps I’d have been happier not knowing what I was missing. In any case, the game is still worth the money and a great play. You should buy it so that maybe next time the devs will have all the funds necessary to fully flesh out their vision! Hope they make another one!
Like a few others in the reviews I normally don’t leave any but this game was so cute and fun! After playing what I knew was just a free play of the first few chapters I was in love, the graphics and gameplay was adorable and the checkers was pretty hard for me it took me a minute and I talked myself into buying the full game. I took away a star I wish I could do a half star because I don’t think it was really worth how much it costs but I get there’s reasons why it costs what it does. However, I’m still very happy I bought it. The storyline is super cute. Like another comment I read I hope the creators make more levels possibly with some of the art already made like where did the beetle come from? There’s 2 “awards” in the Game Center that I haven’t unlocked while playing so I may have to play it until I figure it out it says only .9% and 1% have unlocked them so I love the challenge. I had no problems with audio or glitches. I read some of the 1star reviews and I think those people should replay/rewrite/delete their reviews because it’s not the games fault or they’re just complaining you have to buy it. Much love to the creators and artists you guys did such a good job!
The art is professional, the characters are endearing, the story is fun, the puzzles are fair with hidden hints to find, and even a “cheat” hint system to fall back on if you get stuck. All very nice. But there are WAY too many “find the right path” puzzles, where you’re moving stuff around (tiles, characters, whatever) to get things aligned just so. So many that it felt like lazy design to me. I almost rage quit in a stretch where you have to outmaneuver a monster chasing you on a segmented track. It was fine the first time, but when you beat him, it puts you on a more complicated track to do it again. And then that happens again. And then it happens AGAIN! The second time was unwelcome but tolerable; after that, it was just not fun. And that just one of MANY puzzles with a similar mechanic. It’s a shame, because many of the other puzzles were genuinely creative and satisfying. With that said, this is a promising early effort by a newer studio, and a game just like this but longer and with more puzzle ingenuity would deserve 5 stars. I hope they keep making these and refining the content. I bet their next one will be just right.
This was so fun and just the best game ever that I have played online. I wish it never ended! The only thing I would change maybe is that even though you choose “English” for your choice language to use in the game, the characters still speak a different language and there’s no text in English or other language to tell you what they are saying. But everything you need to know is in English. So it works out fine. I just sorta wish I knew what they were saying bc it really is a cute game. I could play this game all day, every day. I wish they made more of these games. The inventors of this game were genius! And the entire cast and crew who made the game were equally as wonderful as well. I know I am not the only one who would pay good money to see more spin offs of this game. Like a series of adventures that the siblings go on. Maybe a spy agency? Idk but I would LOVE to see more of the same games like this. So sad it ended. Thanks so much developers! You guys are AWESOME!
I’m always on the look out for fun adventure mobile games, but all the ones I find are so typical and there’s too many adds and other features that you have to pay to buy. This game has none of that, the first chapter of the game is free, but the rest of the game costs $5 I think. I payed the money to play the rest of the game and it was totally worth it. There are also no ads at all (unless you want to watch one to skip a puzzle). Everything about the game is so unique: the animation style, the storyline, the puzzles, the characters and so much more. And I’m pretty sure the two playable characters were designed after the creator’s son and daughter, and I think that’s really sweet. If you want to exercise your brain and your imagination then I definitely recommend you play the whole game. This is by far one of my favorite mobile games I’ve ever played, 10/10 😊
… the App Store rated it "Game of the Year." I started playing the free to play part and found it refreshing. A bit different than most of the point and click adventures. The cat under the bed made me giggle once the flashlight was shined on it. So far, the puzzles take thought, but aren’t impossible. I was also taken with the fact that the author's kids were his inspiration. I liked that it was straightforward in letting me know that it was a trial and didn’t advertise as free-to-play only to find that a significant part right in the middle of the adventure was cut out leaving me to wonder why I can’t find the key for a certain door or a part for a puzzle. Until I find out at the abrupt end that you have to pay for the full "free-to-play”. Now that I’ve bought the rest of this game, I’m off to do more puzzling!
I don’t because I have to pay money. I can’t pay money so I can only play four little puzzles. it is not worth downloading unless you like paying for games I like games that don’t have to be paid for. I always try to find games that don’t require money and you can adventure if you’re like me and want that. This is not the game for you, but it didn’t need money, I would love it in the four that I played were amazing it was very challenging. If you guys could please just not make me pay. I would love the game and it would be amazing. It would be my top game cause I have to pay, I deleted the app and I am no longer playing the app. I really wish it didn’t require money. I really like searching for games that don’t have to be paid for and you can adventure around and do exactly what you can do in this game but not being paid for. Thank you.
