Tingus Goose is, without a doubt, the weirdest idle game I have ever played, and that is a massive compliment. Based on the surreal art of Master Tingus, it's a bizarre ecosystem where you grow 'goose trees' out of human hosts. It’s disturbing, creepy, and absolutely addictive. Watching a goose head spout human babies to grow freaky limbs sounds like a fever dream, but as an idle game mechanic, it's strangely compelling.
The art style is the star here—every new sprout and evolution is a surprise that you'll want to show someone just to see their reaction. Beyond the shock value, the idle mechanics are solid, offering a satisfying sense of progression without being overly reliant on microtransactions. If you’re tired of generic idle games and want something that is genuinely unique and artistic, this is it.

Focus on upgrading your 'watering' efficiency early. The faster you can cycle through the growth phases, the more specimens you'll collect for permanent upgrades.
Players interact with human hosts to sprout geese. By upgrading various biological functions, the tree grows larger and more complex, unlocking new 'sprouts' and stages.
The visuals and animations are based on surrealist art, creating a unique experience that is much more visually daring than typical idle games.
This game has occupied more of my free time than I care to admit at this point. I was not familiar with any other work from the devs, so I went in this having no idea what to expect. It is super weird and disturbing in all the right ways. It provides enough of a challenge to keep you hooked, and it supplies the tools to succeed without dropping money on IAPs. That being said, I bought the ad free upgrade early on and it has been super helpful in progressing. So much so that it brings me to my only complaint.. Devs, when are we gonna get some new levels and sprouts? I'm on level 31 now and I haven't seen a new stage or sprout in a long time. Admittedly it's starting to get a little repetitive playing the same stages over and over, and without any new sprouts to look forward to. It's also been extremely hard to upgrade the specimens, as it takes hundreds of them to get even one upgrade, which takes a very long time when you're only collecting a couple at a time with the free worm every few hours. All that being said, this game is definitely worth the play and I really hope we get some new content soon!
I want to say first and foremost that I like this game a lot. I’ve been playing since it came out and have happily contributed money to the developers for making it. That said, there is one level “Apocalypse” that is so poorly designed, thought out and frustrating, that I’m considering no longer supporting the game. In a game that is designed around constructing complicated chains of Rube Goldberg-esque machines to maximize how much money you make, having a level that randomly destroys your babies to prevent you from doing so is an absolutely stupid design choice. And not only do they destroy your potential to make money, they take money away! Absolute madness. Other levels provide obstacles and different paths to force you to work around, but this level is simply random destruction and, unlike the other levels, they provide no means to counter it or even minimize it somehow. It would be scummy to make a player pay to somehow mitigate it, but they don’t even allow that; it is simply a bad design choice. This may seem like a minor gripe in the scheme of things, but I was really enjoying the game and happily supporting it before this absolutely frustrating level put a stop to any desire I had to keep going. I really hope they rethink how that level works, or else I fear many others will fell the same.
I downloaded this because it looked silly and fun, and because my nickname for my girlfriend is “goose” so I thought she might get a kick out of it. Day after I downloaded it we were in the ER because she broke both her feet and was on a bunch of pain meds when I showed it to her, which heightened her experience of this game even more. She has since also downloaded it and it is our weird little chaotic competitive thing we do together, which has been nice since she wasn’t able to work while both her feet healed. Our roommates have just given up asking what we are talking about when we yell into the void about how our babies got snatched by bees or crawling eggs with spider legs, and just go “goose?” as if they don’t already know. This game gives off the feeling that the devs were high on *something* when conceiving of every little aspect of this, and I mean that as a compliment. If you want a game that is absolutely bonkers off the wall crazy, while also being something that you can play in small spurts, this is your game.
Gotta agree with a lot of the other 1 star ratings, 2.0 kinda just ruined the experience. Instead of adding on, you just changed everything about it. Not gonna lie, probably for the best, I played it way to often before and can’t really see myself playing it in this state, a real bummer cuz I almost got to see what little sister turned into, but I guess that’ll never happen now. I guess as a response to the response, the only real way to make it better is to go back to the old formula, the game functioned just fine the way it was, the changes that were made, made the game entirely worse. I don’t want to sound rude, but it’s a bad game now, and saying “stay tuned” doesn’t make it sound like it’s ever going back. So, it was fun while it lasted but whatever you have in store is probably gonna be more of the same.. a sad pay to win clicker not worth even watching the ads for. Another response to a non response- this wasn’t an update. It’s a completely different game, like, fundamentally. There’s not a way to “update it” to make it better, it’s essentially a bait and switch for those who paid money for the original. Everything that was earned vanished and I guess was given credits for? So even if it was returned back to what it was, there would be no way to get your progress back. I’m finding it kinda hard to believe that this version is actually making y’all money. Also the pictures on the store still show what it once was and not what it is now, so you should at the very least be honest with the product your pushing, instead of trying to present a superior version y’all destroyed.
I’ll start this review saying that I spent money on this game and do not regret it. I really, really want to give this game 5 stars, but there are enough irritations that I can’t (edit: I decided to give it 5. It’s perfect, but this team did a really great job and I want more apps like this to be made). First the good: The artwork and writing are great. It’s kookie and fun. The game element is also fairly original in the mobile market and has some very satisfying aspects. It’s also like $10 to get rid of ads forever. The bad: This drains my battery. It’s entirely possible it’s my somewhat dated phone (11 pro) but my hunch is that the rendering of everything is just very processor intensive. Without giving too much away, one part of the game is replaying old levels. This is a pretty standard gimmick in these types of games, but every time you do it, there are, essentially, unskipable cutscenes. You can speed up the game, but that just means the cutscenes play at 2x (or whatever) speed. I would really like it to be able to skip the very beginning and the very end of each level. There are also two levels that are just a chore to complete. They are both interesting, to a certain degree, the first time around, but they are just a slog on subsequent playthroughs. Overall, you should totally download this game, and I hope the dev team continues to make some small improvements.
My review of Version 2 is simple: it is not worth your money nor your time. Trust me. To MasterTingus, SweatyChair, Game Veterans, and those poor souls who didn’t get here in time: Version 1 was the most fun and gorgeous and interesting and engaging and addicting game I’ve ever played. It was endlessly entertaining and enjoyable and had the perfect flow of difficultly as you progressed. At the base of it the levels were all the same but it never got boring or repetitive. Quite frankly, it’s genius how it was done. It may sound dramatic, but it’s honestly heartbreaking how they took an amazing, original game and simply destroyed it. If you played the original, this version is simply unplayable. I keep checking in on the game because I loved it so much, but it’s just a reminder of how sad I am missing all the old features and aspects to the game. I haven’t had the heart to delete yet but I’m close… I can’t take the constant reminder of what once was. There honestly is a hole in my heart and my life now that I can’t explain… I’ll keep checking in to see if they have updated but I doubt I’d be interested in anything but the original. In a world of bland, boring, sameness Tingus dared to be different but now it’s just a disappointment. I feel so bad being so hard because I know a lot of work went into the new version and I’m sorry to be so harsh, I appreciate all the work that went into the update but it’s incomprehensible to me to go from such an intricate yet simple concept to whatever it is now… Like, state your demands because I want the old one back and I’m desperate. Version 1, the kids miss you. Please come home. Sincerely, Tingusless & Heartbroken

To start, two hours idle unless you pay 10 dollars is crazy! & what’s with things not being unlocked when they’re supposed to be? It seems that ascension is not longer available at level 9 as it’s stated? Really disappointing as that was the hook keeping me playing despite being confused about the game for most of the gameplay as it’s very much a “figure it out on your own” (almost to the point of being un-playable) game. I think developers may need to take a moment and think about how to keep people interested in an idle game… because the two hours limit is not serving what they think it’s serving LOL, but I think the worst part is the misleading milestones, it’s really just discouraging and annoying… This was very much a game I thought I could see myself playing for a long time and from what I’ve read about it, it seems that it *WAS* once incredibly wonderful until developers got greedy, thus subsequent updates have ruined the play experience.
