Daddy Long Legs is an exercise in delightful frustration. It belongs to that rare sub-genre of 'intentionally clunky' physics games where the failure is just as funny as the success. Trying to coordinate the massive legs of your character results in some of the most ridiculous walking animations ever seen in a game.

The 'one-more-try' factor is through the roof. You'll stumble after two meters, laugh at the faceplant, and immediately tap to try again. The inclusion of the 'Horse' character adds a completely different physics challenge, which provides much-needed variety. It’s a game that doesn't take itself seriously, and that’s exactly why it works so well.

Simple, challenging, and fun!

I personally think that playing this game is at first hard, but then gets super duper easy once you get the hang of it. Sure, you might fall a few hundred times at first, but then you start to gain momentum and balance—and next thing you know, your high score is 200 meters! This game has so much to offer for its players. Things like daily challenges, to collecting outfits through gifts. The outfits that you can unlock through gift boxes, earned by walking towards one, or bought with coins, have funny descriptions and make it more entertaining to walk. And Daily Challenges, like collecting minis (a tiny and adorable version of Daddy) or taking up goals like standing still three times or falling a certain amount of times, etcetera. These also motivate you to keep on playing the game, especially since this game has achievements that are mostly won through walking! The game is offline, too, so that you can play ad-free while on road trips, flights, waiting at a doctor’s office, etcetera! Aside from a few bugs, it runs perfectly fine and doesn’t affect the gameplay as much. In conclusion, this app is THE definition of challenging fun. It’s practically flawless with all of the extra tasks and collectibles that make the gameplay so much more interesting, and would have you playing for hours!

Ok, so overall, this is a wonderful idea and has great potential. Honestly, I find it to be quite fun, and love the concept. However, I have a few suggestions that I feel would help improve the game quite a bit. (There is no offense meant by this, only to help make this game even better 😄) My first request is that you make a dark option. The light can be a bit hard on your eyes, especially when you’re playing later at night. The next thing is some sort of tutorial. Or at least instructions when you first start the game, that way you at least have a clue as to what you are doing, and how to do it. Also, can daddy (lol it sounds so wrong every time I say it— In a good way 😂) Say something other than, “brag” when you fall? Maybe something encouraging, like “Good job”, or “So close 😃”. I mean, It gets annoying. On the topic of losing, can there be a way to continue from a checkpoint once by watching an ad or paying coins? I would really appreciate it. The game is really difficult, and when you die it can be really frustrating, mostly when you are about to do something really good, like reach a gold package or a new high score. Lastly, can there be optional mini games that can give you coins? Or packages and costumes, if you’re lucky? Coins are really hard to get, considering that if you get them from running it only gives you five, and if you get a package you get from 20-99. That’s all! I hope you take this into account and use one of my suggestions! I love your game and hope I get a response! Thank you so much!!! 😊😍❤️❤️❤️

So this game is pretty nice it’s honestly a great game but I’m fixing to spill some tea so get all them paper towels ready. OK so around about when the game first came out I thought it was pretty cool I actually deleted the game eventually because all the ads but I decided I would re-download it now i’m glad to see that you fixed the problem this game is really fun to play and I actually am addicted to it now I wouldn’t say it’s good for a 4-year-old but I would say it’s good for around 6 and up just my opinion with how difficult it is I feel like 4 -year-olds wouldn’t really understand as good as an older kid but hey who knows we have some smart kids these days. And to any parents this game is a very good to keep your kid occupied trust me they can spend hours on it trying to beat 1 Little level I feel like they can add more color though it’s just very bland this game is very fun and I do recommend it I wouldn’t say deserves a whole 5 but it’s pretty funny I feel like little kids would get so much laughter out of this game and it’s really fun to challenge people. So that’s just what I think of this game of course my opinion is different to other peoples but I recommend you reading my little ramble before you download it anyway bye.

So this game is amazing. Let me just make that clear. The graphics are spectacular, the skins and funny and creative, and the minis offer a fun thing to look forward to every day. This game is a great game, full of funny, creative aspects to make your day great. And to the reviewers stating that its too hard, GET GOOD 😒. No offense, but like, ive gotten to like 55 or stm, if i can do it, so can you. You just have to try. The game is supposed to be hard, thats part of its charm. And the presies, (“gifts” for you normal people), are a nice touch and a good way to get skins and free coins. Another thing that gives you free coins are the FREAKING AMAZING tasks. Ok, it might be a over reaction, but i love the goals/tasks. They give you free presies and coins for doing things; and if you dont wanna do one, than pay a small amount to get a new one 😄. Truly amazing game, would recommend to people with short attention spans.

Once Apon A time, in a land not so far away, there was me. I deleted this game a long time ago but a few days ago I decided to try it again. Lucky for me, I don’t really struggle with the ads. I guess they were fixed or something. Now let me cut to the case!!!! This game is really fun, and I love it! I love how they have Horse and the Daddy Long Legs! BUT!!! This game is just a little bland. Walk, fall, Walk, Fall, Get a package, Walk, Fall, Buy a costume, Walk, Fall, Switch to horse, Gallop (?), fall. It gets boring. Soooooo, I was wondering...maybe some mini games? Just something to spice up the game. I would definitely change this to a 5 star review if the mini games were added and worth it! Maybe you could also make some obstacles! Another thing is, after reading another person’s review, I decided to download Steppy Pants. I think you could honestly learn a lot from the game. I get you can’t copy but like maybe make like the way you hold to make your leg more closer and farther? Also, to me, horse’s controls make no sense. Like, I try to move and I’m going strong and I’m moving and moving and the his leg goes under him for NO REASON!!! Other times I understand, but this has been happening constantly and it makes no sense which makes me hate it. Anyways, thanks for reading, bye.

Yet another unique game ruined by ads

It’s fun and is a great time killer, but literally EVERY SINGLE TIME you fall there’s an ad (and you usually fall in about 3-10 seconds) my guess is it really isn’t really the devs fault (the people that read these) but at the same time they’re the best bet to get this message to the people that are really behind the ads. If there’s one thing that can totally ruin a game it’s ads. We get it, free mobile games gotta make money too, the people behind them have families to feed but seriously? You couldn’t settle for an ad every 10th fall? If you think that sounds ridiculous just look back to what I said earlier “you fall on average every 3-10 seconds”. At the very least, we’d be watching ads every half minute and at most every minute and a half (roughly). Still watching ads at a reasonable pace and it’s not interfering with the game as much as it is now. The game itself deserves 4 stars, it’s fun, it kills time, and it’s interesting. It does leave one lost in direction as there’s nothing to do but walk, fall, costume, repeat. But there’s plenty of room to grow (I read someone earlier suggested mini games) It’s gone down a whole other star due to all of the ads. Devs, this isn’t your fault but please, take this message (among all of the others that have this exact issue with the game) and show it to the people that are in charge. This game has potential and potential means money. Don’t let this ad heavy business model squander your potential, or you’ll fade into obscurity. And I know, all of this can be solved with I think it was $1 (no-ads). I can spare that.. but I won’t. I’m not reinforcing that kind of behavior with my money. I shouldn’t have to spend my money to enjoy a game.

Game of My Childhood

Honestly, I’m impressed with the quality of such a simple game. It has it all: multiple game modes, cool and varied cosmetics, rewards, leaderboards, challenging gameplay, and more. I played this about 5 to 7 years ago and now I found it again and fell in love. Back then, my all time best was around 30, with scores like 100 or even something as simple as 50 sounding ridiculously impossible. Now, my high score is 600 and I can get achievements like “extremely persistent.” It seems like there are always new challenges at every turn. There are only a few minor issues that I would like to talk about. First of all, some specific few of the cosmetics in the store are very buggy when daddy displays them. (They are fine when you use them, it’s just in the store.) Second, sometimes I don’t get achievements when I am supposed to. Third of all, my leaderboard high score hasn’t been updated yet, even though I have beat my displayed high score many times. I know that any one of these issues may just be specific to my phone, or they might be just simple misconceptions on my part, but I would still like to state them. Finally, I would just like to recommend additions to the settings. I think that separate volume knobs for different parts of sound would be nice. I also don’t know if you have control over this, but the online leaderboard is kind of difficult to use. If you want to see the 1st score, you will probably have to scroll for hours, and nobody wants to do that. Sorry for writing so much. Thank you for your time, and have a good day. Keep up the great work! (You should have an achievement for flipping horse upside down)

I love the game, art style, skins, etc. Also I thought it would be soooo cool if you guys, girls, or others, could make a Daddy long legs 2. This could be the same concept just with a story and different game modes. The reason I’m suggesting making a second game instead of adding it to this game is because I love the simplicity of this one and I wouldn’t want to change that at all. If you made a second one it would be super awesome, but all this is just a suggestion and you probably won’t even see this. Also when I said this looks like it could turn into a horror game real quick I meant that in a good way but also Daddy long legs and horse both look like something you would find under your bed at night. You could make the background black and make the characters white and then do random loud sounds to scare people and boom you got a horror game.
