Ticket to Earth can now be played on Apple Silicon Macs!
This update also includes minor enhancements and fixes.
It’s an incredible game with a story I am now captured by. At the beginning I thought there was a weird disconnect between the somewhat cheesy dialogue (saying ‘fleck’ for example) and the serious nature of the story (mass genocide). However over time, not sure if I just got used to it, but this issue seemed to go away and now I wish I paid more attention to the story early game and had read all of the optional dialogues. One issue I found to be significant was the difficulty, and I wish they added a third, more difficult option above Veteran. For most of the game, in between the very beginning and the very end, the game was just too easy. At many points it just didn’t feel very engaging, and I think there’s an excitement to just barely making it that I was rarely able to feel. All things considered, there is a significant amount of high quality content, the story is great, the gameplay is both novel and enjoyable, and the customization for your characters is complex, well thought-out, and interesting. It is underpriced for all of the content it provides. Would highly recommend
Comments after 2.0.2: It seems the difficulty has been rebalanced, and I was able to finish episode 2. It's a great game and I enjoyed the story line. Looking forward to next episode. --------------------------------------------------------------- Comments after recent update: The mission to defeat SIX is still too hard for me! This game suppose to be mid-difficulty not difficult like a hell!! Like I said before SIX can heal himself and this is ridiculous!! I almost beat him but he keeps healing himself....and there are 4 other mutants that keep consuming my character's health...how am I suppose to win...please fix the difficulty for this level... --------------------------------------------------------------- Like others said the new update for episode 2 makes other missions pretty easy. (Compare to previous episode 1) HOWEVER!! The final mission for episode 2 is too hard!! Not sure whether it's the last mission, because I was stuck!! Six-the boss can heal himself!! And every time I almost beat him to zero health he regenerate the health!! And that SIX can attack you twice with massive damage!!It's totally impossible to win!!! Please scale the difficulty level for that mission. I also think there should be some choices for choosing the difficulty....the difficulty of the level should be more balanced. That mission to defeat SIX is too hard while other missions are much easier than it should be.....
I really loved the narrative in this game. The characters and story are fantastic. They built a great world. At the end, I was hoping for a little more backstory on each of them, especially the relationship between Wolf and Malady, but it was still compelling. Reads like a graphic novel. The stakes keep getting higher in a great way (which is impressive when you start out with the murder of an entire city, lol). The gameplay itself is alright, it’s mostly the same thing every time with little tactical differences, but I found it somewhat meditative and fun. The music is good too, although wish there was some more diversity. A note to the devs, there are lots of typos in the one level in chapter 4 when they’re in the engine room.
Everything about the game so far is stellar job!! Good mix of puzzle and turn based RPG with pretty decent storyline for a mobile platform.. BUT: Some key things your missing to streamline the play process before and after the chapters are done. 1: need a 3rd button other then"not yet" and "start" on the screen when you go in to replay previous missions for talent coins and shard farming runs. One that takes you to the justice power screen, so you can spec your character depending on how the mobs affinity are going to be towards for that individual match. 2. Cost of gems.. and the farm that followed to get them..way to huge of a farm needed to make any of the tier 3 or 2 gems.. really just to make even one per character it would take like 35-40 reruns to get it done.. And that is on top of the initial beating the level. 3. Chapters are far too short IMO. They are great little chapters , note the bulk of the game currently is geared towards talent point farming and clearing up periods when you missed a couple talented points rewarded here and there.. should be more back in line with the single player story not the guessing and grind to follow for the next chapter in anticipation. But all in all. Good solid outing in your first go as a company. Keep up the good work.
The game is put together in well balanced way. It has the comics like appearance, some rpg and character development, somewhat challenging tactical battles, a little bit of luck, and a good story. It doesn’t drain the battery, starts quick and stores the game state when sent to the background. Perfect for short escapes from the daily life. Apart from the good quality game and software this game does not show ads, does not use gems, bucks, coins or other annoying currencies to progress. No in- app purchases. You buy the game and play it. No hassles. More than anything I was longing for this honest experience of the past. Thank you.
So. I have an iPad4. Until the recent update, I had no problems with the game's functionality. Now? The poor frame rate during combat reduces the game quality to unplayable. My rating goes from 5 stars to 1 star and stays there until a fix can be introduced. I see no graphical improvements in the game that would now render my iPad4 hardware obsolete! The April 2019 update has fixed the fire barrel animation problem. With other game additions, my rating goes back to five stars. Storyline, puzzles, battles, and the RPG element will keep you entertained for hours. AND the game has a high replay value. Well worth the cost!!
This is a really well written sci fi game with very unique rpg/strategy hybrid mechanics. There have been 3 chapters out so far and they just keep getting better. The difficulty is tuned a bit easy but it’s still fun to play. I honestly have no idea why the chapters are all free, I would be happy to pay a couple bucks IAP to unlock a chapter, they each have more than enough content to justify it. I’d honestly prefer to do that if it meant more games in this world. Really odd decision by the developer... and they spend time developing augmented reality for the game which is wasted and useless. It adds nothing to the game
Been enjoying this game a great deal. Downside- binge playing through each mission far too quickly but is a testament to how interesting I find this game. First episode introduced the world and combat mechanics. But the second has added further RPG elements through weapon augmentation. Small gripe and possible future gameplay change- nitrium crystals. I made the naive mistake of making too many of the first gem. Unlike Diablo, the gems do not make better gems when you combine them. The crystals are one use only. It'd be great if you could dissemble crafted gems, at an understandable loss, or somehow use there equivalent crystal value towards crafting other gems.
Ticket to Earth ($3.99) by Robot Circus Pty Ltd is a unique mashup of a match-three puzzle, RPG, and a turn-based tactical strategy game.
