Temporal War is a mind-bending strategy game that turns the concept of 'time' into a physical battlefield. It’s not just a combat game; it’s a chronological puzzle. You don't just fight enemies in the present; you have to deploy units to the past to ensure your present-day base even exists. This 'butterfly effect' mechanic is handled brilliantly, with changes in the early rounds physically altering the map in the later rounds.
The visual style is fantastic, mixing futuristic tech with ancient ruins to represent the various eras you're fighting in. The difficulty curve is steep, as you have to keep track of three or four different timelines simultaneously, but the payoff of a perfectly executed 'Grandfather Paradox' strategy is unmatched. It’s an ambitious, intelligent, and highly original strategy game that will appeal to fans of 'Into the Breach' or anyone who loves a good time-travel story.
Unique multi-era strategy mechanics
Dynamic maps that change based on your past actions
Complex and engaging time-travel narrative
Wide variety of units from multiple time periods
Challenging puzzles based on temporal logic
In the early levels, send a small scout team to the 'Medieval Era' to plant a cache of supplies. These supplies will then appear as a high-value 'Ancient Crate' in the modern-day era, giving you the boost needed for heavy artillery.
Be careful when attacking enemy 'Ancestors'. If you eliminate a key unit in the past, it may cause your own modern-day base to disappear. Always check the 'Temporal Preview' line before committing to a historical strike.
It is turn-based, giving you ample time to calculate the temporal consequences of every move.
Card building game where the game is to wipe your opponents hearts before you lose yours. It’s missing some polish such as figuring out which units are classified as what. Some cards deal additional damage to navy units yet there is no way in-game to see what type enemies are. The only hint given is the art itself. Ideally clicking on the enemy card should say outright what type of unit it is, be it navy or air etc. Speaking of art it’s ok for what it is, it does need some minor touches here and there. There is a sort of gallery to view all cards including enemy ones which is nice but it doesn’t allow you to full screen the art which is a shame, hopefully later on a full card view will be added. Given enough time to add some polish to the game I think it would certainly be worth the 4 dollar price tag.
AI art is good enough. I wish I could restart a game from scratch at any time rather than forced to play to a complete win or loss.
No too fun but looks great

Once you understand the units and how to place them, who you can sacrifice and who to protect, it gets much easier. for me it's a good game,...
