Take It Easy is the quintessential 'just one more round' puzzle game. It’s based on the classic board game, and the digital translation is flawless. The beauty lies in its simplicity: you place hexagonal tiles with colored lines on a board, trying to connect edges of the same color. It sounds easy, but as the board fills up, you realize that one wrong move has ruined three different potential scoring lines.

What I love most is the relaxing pace—there’s no timer to stress you out, just pure spatial reasoning. The multiplayer modes and various challenges add a lot of longevity to what could have been a very simple app. It's aesthetically pleasing with a minimalist design that doesn't distract from the brain-teasing gameplay. If you like tile-matching games like Hexic or Carcassonne, this is a must-have.

Strategic Tile Placement

Always try to keep your high-value lines (the ones worth 7, 8, or 9 points) clear. It's better to sacrifice a low-value vertical line than to block a high-value diagonal that spans the whole board.

Tile Connection Mechanics

The game ends when the board is full. Your score is calculated by multiplying the value of a completed line by the number of tiles in that line. Incomplete lines score zero, so precision is everything.

Pretty while it works your brain!

This is one of the prettiest little puzzle games that I've come across :-) So far I like everything about it and I do have one wish. If it were possible to opt for a "mirror image" so that right-handed people wouldn't have their own hand in the way when trying to place a puzzle piece. It would be so much more convenient to be swiping a puzzle piece from left into the puzzle at the right. Jus sayin' 👍🏼

Quick, Fun, Challenging

This game really needs a 4.5. The only thing I would change is to have an optional “PRACTICE MODE.” Something that would put a red outline around the shapes when you make that fatal mistake. Otherwise I am addicted to this game. It is quick to learn and challenging to raise your score. It is perfect for when you are waiting for something and need to have enough brain power to hear your name. PLUS you can tell it you’ll be back later or to end the puzzle now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME.

I’ve never had any problems with this wonderful puzzle game. I’ve always played alone, and love it. The only improvements I can see would to be able to pause it, and come back to the same puzzle later. I haven’t really tried the other games to give an opinion. But single player, I’m at 111. And it’s working fine. 😁

Take it easy will not work on new iPhone 11! If I play it I have shut the phone off to do anything else! Time, weather, write a text. Played for years on old phone, I’ll miss it 😟

Original review: Surprisingly addictive with an appealing presentation. Subsequent updates have made the presentation much less appealing and erased lots of progress from players of the original version. Bit of an unwelcome update, honestly. It’s better than it was when they first updated it, but it’s still a step back.

Makes a person think-but MAJOR issues

Great early levels teach the skills. Later levels work your brain. Some are crazy-hard, but its an awesome app. One of my favorites! Update: This game WILL NOT stay logged out of the game center. Its the only one on my device that ALWAYS somehow manages to re-sign-in to the game center, despite the fact that I have game center signed out ij the game center itself. That’s a significant issue for me, as I DON’T SHARE DATA.

I have enjoyed this app ever since I discovered it. My grandson loves it too. It’s one of the things we can do together. He’s five and we have been playing together for over a year.

Still broken

Multiplayer mode with GC friends option has been broken forever. With this update, you can connect if you really work at it but after a single round there is no option to start another!!!! You can back all the way out and start again but you end up playing the same type of puzzle over and over. Still waiting...
