Swords and Sandals Immortals is a triumphant return to form for the legendary gladiator series. This isn't just a simple port; it’s a massive overhaul with a new engine, limb-severing combat, and a deep RPG system that will satisfy long-time fans. The turn-based combat is as brutal as ever, but the added depth in skill trees and race selection (ranging from undead giants to laser-wielding blobs) makes every gladiator feel unique.

The single-player campaign across Brandor is substantial, but the addition of real-time multiplayer is the real game-changer. Testing your builds against human opponents adds a layer of strategy and tension that the AI simply can't match. The humor remains intact—you can still defeat enemies by yelling or playing guitar solos—balancing the grim 'limb loss' mechanics with the series' signature whimsy. It’s easily the most ambitious entry in the franchise.

Good could be great

This game is so addicting, I spent the past week playing hours everyday. There is so much replay value with different classes and weapons. However, I have noticed bugs and issues with the game that can’t be overlooked. The most pressing issue being the star system, by late game stars become extremely tedious to obtain. Stars are needed for a lot of things including learning new skills and participating in dungeons. The game becomes repetitive and less enjoyable especially since I cannot learn new skills to try and I can’t even beat the game without completing the dungeons.

The first thing you’ll notice are the flash sprites, which means janky limb movement in a fighting game. I find the game art charming as it reminds me of newgrounds, where I believe this game originated. My god, does their experience show. They’ve made an incredible F2P Gladiator RPG with loads of content and extensive replayability all available to you from the start. ADs are short and infrequent, and can be removed for $0.99. If you are at all interested in the idea of a Gladiator RPG, play this game and maybe even give these people your money. They freaking deserve it!

The definitive SaS experience

If you enjoyed old school swords and sandals you’ll love this game. Fight, get gold, get gear, skill up rinse and repeat. There is strategy or you can play on easy and just enjoy yourself. Haven’t noticed the issue where the screen is completely black at night or anything else people are complaining about. Looking forward to future dlc, would probably be pretty simple, new map new story. This is the best swords and sandals on iOS and feels like a big step in the right direction for the series.

Developer Please Fix This

I play on a iPhone 13 Pro and it’s not in full screen there are little black bars on the sides, and there’s no option to make it cover the whole screen which makes everything a little smaller and harder to read. This is literally the only app I ever downloaded that has had this problem. If this was fixed I’d play everyday but it is just annoying.

Hi guys, I’m tom this game is totally awesome. this game is actually brutally awesome I like when you do a powerful hit and breaks them in half. 😍🤩 hello guys I’ve been playing on your game for a few days now I looked back on the other swords and sandals boy this newest one you guys made is off the hook. I like it a lot great graphics and I kinda like to Gore it’s really good job guys.

This game is functionally the exact same game that I’d assume we all grew up with. The main screen U.I. is different from the original game but the fights are the same and the armor and weapons work the exact same way. I really enjoy this game and am so glad that there’s a replacement for the flash game

Nostalgic

Used to love playing this game as a kid. Stumbled across it randomly in the app store and came across a great game. Still in beginner stages but this game feels complete and isnt one of the old ones where eventually you have to pay for the full game to continue. Love it 10/10

Fix the scaling

It was fun till I got to end game and some of the bosses were clearly way to strong. Completing the game in 300 days is almost impossible for a casual and you're getting 1 shot by almost every boss that you don't have the perfect gear for. Since mobs are so scaled above you it seems like there hit chance is always above 70% no matter how much defense you have
