Minor update:
- Tweaked the ingame D-pad to avoid interference with iPhone X's home indicator
We hope that you still enjoy this old classic from 2003. Did you know that this was the first game officially created by the Donut Games team, only we used a different label back then? This was 6 years prior to our first iPhone game in 2009, and Superstar Chefs was originally released as an indie game for desktop computers.
Superstar Chefs is a nostalgic masterpiece from Donut Games that perfectly captures the 'jump n' stomp' arcade vibe. It's an incredibly charming platformer where you play as a chef trying to recover stolen recipes across Cocktail Land. The level design is brilliant, featuring a mix of conveyor belts, trampolines, and cannons that keep the 64 levels feeling fresh and challenging.
The controls are a highlight here; Donut Games offers three different modes (DPad, Swipe, and Zoned Swipe) ensuring that regardless of your preference, the movement feels precise. The retro-style music is infectious and fits the whimsical aesthetic perfectly. It’s a pure, ad-free experience that rewards replayability as you strive to improve your scores and earn all the Game Center achievements. For fans of classic arcade platformers, this is an absolute must-play.
64 levels with high replay value
3 control modes: DPad, Swipe, and Zoned Swipe
MFi and ION Arcade controller support
Classic retro soundtrack
Jump on enemies to stomp them and clear the path. Collect all recipes scattered throughout the stage to unlock the exit.
Navigate 64 levels filled with mechanical hazards. Use trampolines for height and timing to dodge cannon balls while collecting high-score fruit.
It is a modernized version of a classic 2003 indie game, updated for modern iOS devices with Retina graphics.
I played the indie version when I was only 4 years old and boy do I have good memories. What made this game fun for me as a kid was being able to play it with my older brother and older sister. Now that you added mifi-controls make it two players! That will definitely boost the ratings at least one star higher 😃.
I’ve played Superstar Chefs over over a year now, and beating and replaying all the levels to gain score has been a puzzle and a blast to figure out. I did notice something minor though, and I hope this can be checked out. All levels have an even amount of fruit, except one. This exception is level 29; Almost Cheesy. I believe there is a missing cherry just to the left of where the chef spawns, right above the robot monster. The pattern looks off and someone forgot to add the last one in. If this can be fixed, that’ll be appreciated!
Hey donut games crew. EvanGamesGoodman here. I’m a big fan of this game and all, but I have a request for you. If you could fix the elevator in level 32, also known as crazy elevator, that will be highly appreciated because I tap on the elevator like I’m supposed to and it crashes the game. Thanks a million, EvanGamesGoodman
I used to love this game!!!! Still do but please update it from crashing!!!😇
I remember playing this as a kid. I mean i would have loved it to be free but its definitely worth buying if you remember playing it when it was free. Overall a great and awesome game.
It's a really addictive game but ever since the update the game crashes at one particular level every time I get into the elevator. Other than that I wish it had more levels or a newer version!
One of the best iOS games I have ever played! It would be amazing if you made a super star chefs 2!
I recently found Donut Games and all the games are a so good including this one!
