Sudoku Now is a remarkably clean and modern interpretation of the timeless logic puzzle. In a marketplace saturated with Sudoku apps cluttered by ads and garish UIs, this app feels like a premium breath of fresh air. The input method is the star here—it’s fast, allowing for both 'cell-first' and 'number-first' entry, which makes speed-running through Expert boards feel incredibly fluid. The auto-note feature is also one of the smartest I've seen, updating dynamically as you fill in numbers.

What I really appreciated was the 'Progressive Challenge' mode. Instead of just picking a difficulty, the game guides you through a curated path that gradually introduces advanced techniques like X-Wings and Swordfish without explicitly lecturing you. It allows the player to discover the logic themselves. It’s a polished, distraction-free tool for serious Sudoku enthusiasts and casual players alike. Small screen hazards

I’ve updated my review based on the quick, positive response of the developer. Thank you As a senior, playing from an iPhone I can basically solve each game. What I can’t do is win because as I try to enter the final number I fat finger or otherwise enter the adjacent, or wrong number. Please provide an option to disable this. Remove the color tell and I’ll gladly accept the challenge to find my error. Working against time seems a better choice than 3 typing input mistakes Thank you

Lots of little things

Too many ads as many have said…the ad has to play, you click the arrow, it plays more, you click the arrow and it goes to the option for App Store, get out of that, then have to click the X. Way too much. The normal games (ex:masters) have recently stopped telling me my % vs other players and seems to be barely giving me any points compared to what I once received (even with the 8x). Would also be nice to have more multipliers as you continue to get more days in a row, not just max out at 8x. And more events please! Otherwise it is a fun game and I like the gameplay of this sudoku more than others.

I have played Sudoku a lot and thought I was good at it, but the crazy level proved me wrong. Didn’t know they were techniques to solving, which hints show you how. Sometimes though even the hint would simply say it is too difficult and just says what a number for a random cell should be. I love the game, but the ads where the Appstore opens back to back three times in a row for a job search app or opens a browser tab for killmalware are annoying. There are also regular in-game ads which do not have a mute button, so one moment you are enjoying a quiet game and the next you are hit with a raucous ad.

Given how many users give this feedback, this app should offer a way to pay for ad free play. Those who are fine sitting through ads to play - great. However those of us here for sudoku that are interested in ad free play should have an option to upgrade or buy a pack for x time period to play ad free. Other apps offer this option. The ads are the killer to this otherwise fun Sudoku program.

Good but too many ads

Program is great but there are so many ads it’s unbelievable. It’s not even that there are ads but sometimes it’s nearly 2 minutes of waiting. They make you click around 2 or 3 times in between waiting for the ads. It has tons of potential but experience is dragged way down by the ads.

I’m not sure how the developer of the app think it’s appropriate to provide so many ads during gameplay you should be ashamed of yourself. There are many more apps that I have since downloaded that do not have this kind of ad advertising in between plays.. save yourself time and do not download this joke of an app.

Another frozen app ad

Maybe it’s AI? Maybe it’s game techs? I’m totally frustrated after downloading an app. Playing a few games when another app pops up to get. You can’t make it go away. You’re frozen. So the new app gets deleted from my phone. No good reviews from me. And every time this happens I’m going to repeat this review. Stop freezing my phone
