Starri v2.1.0
This is the final update for Starri. We deeply appreciate your support, feedback, and love throughout this journey. As a thank-you to our players, the Starri Original Vol.2 album will be permanently free for everyone. The album includes 4 songs: benang merah, Gugup, HYPER FESTIVE FIREWORKS and Starry Starri.
Thank you once again for your love and support for Starri!
Starri is a breath of fresh air in the rhythm game genre because it doesn't require any extra hardware—just your front-facing camera. As a fitness-conscious gamer, I find the motion tracking remarkably accurate for a mobile app. It turns your body into the controller, asking you to slash and catch notes in time with the music. It feels like having a lite version of Beat Saber in your pocket.
The song selection is impressively diverse, featuring everything from global pop hits to indie gems. What I appreciate most as an expert is the 'active' nature of the play; you aren't just tapping a screen, you're actually moving. The UI is neon-soaked and vibrant, and the calibration process is quick and painless. It’s an excellent way to get a bit of exercise while enjoying high-quality rhythm gameplay. If you’re tired of sedentary mobile gaming, Starri is the perfect excuse to get up and move.
Controller-free motion tracking via camera
Huge library of popular and indie songs
Multiple game modes: Slash and Catch
Burn calories while playing with fitness tracking
Ensure you are in a well-lit room and standing about 5-7 feet away from your phone. If the tracking feels jittery, try cleaning your front camera lens to help the AI detect your joints more clearly.
In Slash mode, the power of your swing matters. Don't just tap the notes; use wide, fast arm movements to maximize your 'Impact' bonus and build your multiplier faster.
No, Starri processes all motion tracking locally on your device; no video is ever uploaded or saved to protect your privacy.
I redownloaded Active Arcade last week after several months hoping for new songs and saw this app coming soon, and I was like, I hope that’s “soon” soon and not “two years later” soon, clicked in, and saw this was already launched, so that was a nice surprise. (I would fix that icon in Active Arcade though, so more people will click it knowing it’s already out) There’s been a lot of great improvements, the biggest one being that Catch is now free form rather than limited to three rows and Slash incorporating more full body movements. Lots of other new features too, so definitely go through the tutorial again. My couple nitpicks are that the top of the Catch screen glows teal when playing, and the swipe line icon is also teal, so swiping across the top in Beyond the Altostratus is almost impossible to see. The orange/blue bars you’re supposed to tap in Slash are also a little too dim.
my first that i suggested thing is online it will BE Soooooo Fun is you add that to play with friend and me really enjoy the game and we will love online and others the 2nd thing that i suggested is you can change your slash thing AKA hand glow COLOR🌈it'll be so cool and poeple will love there fav colors in the game and the last thing i suggest is have items⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for song themes or shop and thats the end of my suggested things i hope you add it but it's just my suggested thing alright bye by sam
Seriously, this is the most fun music game I have played. The graphics are great, and I really enjoy working out my arms. Another great thing is that it counts the kcals you burn during this game! Devs, does this connect to Apple Health? The only things I would change are these: 1. Being able to import your own music! 2. Do you think you could make some for your legs/whole body? I’m loving the exercise for my arms, and I would like that for the rest of me! 3. All of the songs seem clean…but I’d appreciate some lyrics.
I never take the time to leave reviews, that’s how much I appreciate this game. I keep trying to find similar games like it, but it’s pretty much one of a kind from what I can see! I like it better than Just Dance, and if you grew up playing DDR like I did, you’ll appreciate this app too. Thank you for helping me get in exercise throughout the day! I suffer with depression and this app really helps. Thank you!! 🫶
Absolutely loving this game. Reminds me of other rhythm games I used to love but motivates me to exercise my arms. My arms are hella weak but I’m noticing I can move with more agility bow without tiring! Are there going to be more songs released? I’m about a few songs away from unlocking all free songs, which could reduce motivation if I replay the same ones after awhile.
You gotta download and try this out to believe it. This game uses your arms and body to control the motion and play this fun, music rhythm game, without any headset or sensor. Great selection of songs, super cool gameplay! Playing this on the iPhone screen is a bit too small for me, but playing on an iPad works perfectly.
I love this game very much but there is some lag issues in the game. Sometimes, the character is frozen and I can’t slash or catch. Sometimes, the character is a few seconds behind my movements.
Look no further, your VR-less Beat Saber clone is here. Just to be brief, I’ll list the pros and cons: Pros: -Bright, colorful artwork -Beat Saber-like gameplay -Good way to burn some calories -Soon to be cross-platform (PC Port coming to Steam soon!) -2 player mode! You can play with your family ^_^ -No Ads!1!1!1!1! -Has a Discord Community, and other socials. Cons: -Relies on IAPs (there’s an in-app currency, a battle pass, and I believe more to come) -Contains some AI Art (only putting this in cons for people who despise AI) -Slow Updates -Not a very big song selection (yet) I’ll edit this review with every new pro and con! Hope this helped :)
