Specimen Zero is a genuinely tense mobile horror experience that succeeds by focusing on atmosphere and the dread of the unknown. Waking up in a derelict hospital with no memory is a classic trope, but the execution here is top-notch. The environments—hospitals, labs, and the newer forest map—are dark and claustrophobic, making every sound feel like a potential threat.
The addition of multiplayer is what really elevates the game. Coordinating an escape with friends while being hunted by the 'Specimen' creates those frantic, panic-filled moments that define good survival horror. The puzzles are logical but challenging enough to keep you occupied while you're hiding under beds or in lockers. It’s rough around the edges in some of the alpha features, but for a mobile horror game, it delivers a high level of genuine scares.

Tips & Walkthrough
Noise is your biggest enemy. Crouching while moving and closing doors behind you can slow down the Specimen. Use cameras found in the facility to track the monster's movement from a safe distance.
Gameplays
Search for keys, keycards, and tools to unlock new areas. Each map has unique escape routes that require you to solve environmental puzzles while managing limited inventory space.

Thu Nov 25 2021 TheRealFlacusNice game, does exactly what it says it does, don’t listen to the other reviews because it looks like it was children who made them. Some suggestions would be to add voice chat, it’s hard to type when you’re getting chased. Adding some sort of indicator on doors and cabinets and anything that can be opened would also help, since all doors look the same and it’s hard to tell which can be opened and which cannot. Also I had a pistol and 18 bullets but it wouldn’t reload, not sure why.

Fri Nov 14 2025 rio' herreroIt truly is a good game me and my friends absolutely love it, the monsters are good there’s rarely any bugs. its really just a fun indie game to play. But I think it would be nice if it supported keyboard on iPad or just keyboard overall cause it would be nice to be able to play it on Mac. But I know its a one person developed game so its okay, but just a suggestion.

Thu Aug 03 2023 SmashingdudeI love the game but feel that sprinting should be added, you can walk and crouch but not run, which to me is just odd, even because of that, I feel it as a better version of granny horror and would be great for any horror fan. Absolutely worth the money!

Sat Jan 22 2022 notmaddoxxNot gone lie, i downloaded this expecting it not to b the best but it’s actually not that bad. I just closed out of the app cause of i turned the corner and the monster was there and it genuinely shook me. Wasn’t expecting that. Keep working.

Sun Feb 01 2026 NlGGER28282The game is good but also confusing. I can’t tell which key goes to which door because it’s just a key with nothing else, and the animations like running or walking is bad. Also the game feels a little empty. You should add an interact button and open door button btw.
