Our Expert Score

78/100

Solitaire: The 1 Classic Cards is exactly what you want from a mobile card game: clean, fast, and familiar. There are dozens of Solitaire apps out there, but this one stands out due to its polish and the inclusion of helpful minor details, like a card counter on the deck pile. It’s a very 'pure' experience—it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel with unnecessary RPG mechanics or forced narratives. It just provides a high-quality venue for Klondike Solitaire.

The UI is highly customizable, allowing you to change card backs and backgrounds to suit your mood. While the game is free and supported by ads, they are generally skippable and don't interrupt the middle of a hand. However, the frequency of ads after matches has increased in recent updates, which can be a bit jarring. For players looking for a reliable, no-frills way to kill time and sharpen their brain, this is a top-tier choice.

Fun w/ a way to make money as well

If you download the application, PlayTest PRO, and then download this game, you can open this through PlayTest PRO and PlayTest PRO will give you points for playing this game. Then every three or four hours you can cash out however much your points equal cash wise. Won’t get you rich or pay your bills, but it’s decent money for the games you play in time you put into it which I just play it when I’m bored and nothing else going on and make money in my downtime. You can make enough to take you out to dinner by something new for yourself put towards a bell. Also, if you have kids, it’s a great way to get them to learn how to play solitaire or also making money of their own to start saving having a little money to play with and learn about spending without you having to put out any of your hard earned money. Lots of different things you could use it for But for what you’re doing in the small amount of time you put into it. It tastes decently well. Five letter five stars you won’t regret it that actually pays.

I gave the application a solid 4. There are a lot of things I like about this version. First, The graphics are visually nice and text is easily read and understood. Secondly, I love the auto feature where the cards are automatically moved to the top stack. It saves a lot of time. Especially since there are extra points given for finishing before two minutes. Another thing I like is that it’s easy to get out of the repetitive adds. Now for some, hopefully, constructive criticism . . . There are too many adds, they are repetitive and if you just let them drone on . . . They’re WAY too long. How about one regular add and then a 10 second repeat . . . If you just HAVE to have an add repeat. The other thing the adds do is mess with the 2 minute timer. Because, believe it or not, there is an “Add Break” in the middle of your game play. The last thing that could be improved upon is that, occasionally, a card will go to the top stack that is needed down below to move a card from the lower stack over. But, all things considered, this version is better than all the other ones I’ve tried. . . About 5 in total.

I’m loving this game so far. The graphics are super nice. The backgrounds, deck backs & card faces that you win are really cool. The doggy background is my favorite so far. I’m loving the auto feature a lot more than I thought I would but if you don’t like it then you have the ability to turn it off so it works for everyone’s preferences. I’m not getting hit with a ton of ads while I’m playing which is nice. i’m not making a ton of money while playing, but the app PlayTest Pro never advertise that I would get rich using it. I’m excited to get the little bit of money I make just for doing something I would normally do for free. I’m just happy to have finally found an app that actually pays just like they say they will. Now if anything should change I’ll update my review to reflect that but for right now they get nothing but five stars from me.

The best solitaire game there is!

I love everything about this app. There are occasional ads (less-frequent or long than most, I think). The simplicity of the UI combined with simple and carefully-selected choices that look almost like a pool table with cards on it. The auto-flip feels like Windows ‘95 but with better graphics. This app is awesome. I like that the ads sometimes come during games and don’t seem to be every time you do a certain thing - it may be time-based or something as opposed to “after each game,” but when the ads come mid-game it’s like a brain break and reminds me to relax - that’s the whole point of playing anyway! Well-designed from a user experience perspective.

I really love playing the game Solitaire and it is the only game that I am playing at the moment. I have played it on several different apps before I decide which ones are worth my time. I played JustPlay for several months and earned over $380, but when the app updated, it took forever just to earn a couple of dollars. I have only used this app for a few days and I got excited when I saw how fast the dollars were accumulated as I was almost on level 20 with a little over $5 that I could withdraw however I was trying to accumulate at least $10 before I attempted to withdraw anything. I took a couple hours of break time to tend to some personal things and when I returned back to the game I was sorely disappointed to see that I was back to the first level again. Needless to say this was very discouraging. I will update this review once I have another opportunity to withdraw something and see how that goes.

Auto placement
Tue Apr 29 2025 SMN1971

I do like the auto placement of cards on the top stacks, it makes the game a little easier and quicker, but would prefer to have a choice to enable/disable this gaming option. At the same time, while the auto placement is nice, I feel that it takes away from my personal experience of completing the game on my own merit based on my personal skills. Getting all the correct cards in the top stacks, in the correct order, as quickly as possible are the goals of the solitarie game, basing the outcome on each infividual persons skills and abilities. Automation, of any kind, in this game takes away the true measure of our ability to complete the game based on our own skills and abilities.

This solitaire card game is fun to play until the app cuts the game off to play it’s content and what other adds play with it and then the game returns and you have to remember what move you wanted to make before the adds cut off the card game and it gets a bit on your nerves, but just not enough for you to leave the game. Granted Apps ( commercials ) need to play but why so many apps? It seems like I play so many moves and an app cutting off the game and is playing, makes it hard to play the game this way and want to stay interested in the card game. I lost my interest playing because of the apps so I decided to write this review. Thanks Cherrie Bonham

So far really good. But when it comes to the ads it’s unstoppable. When it’s time for the ads the game can sometimes force hands to be what it used to be, after ad. So I have to correct a correctional correction making the strain in my eyeballs that much more noticeable when I have to re-make a move, it’s not frequent but it’s scary when you can correct your moves for more points and recognize involuntary moves or in this instant my not move. don’t have much on it. I also notice that some ads actually turn off your in game audio. Till you see another ad. And even with that, it’s only a chance you might get your audio back.. or maybe I need someone to tell these ads solitaire was doing just fine on its own. I don’t have to be brainwashed with ads to recognize a good game..
